Mini taquitos are a dime a dozen here in SA but when you can find them on the Northside and they taste just like mini taquitos from along the border, you know you've found a winner. Some of the best street style tacos I've had. The man at the register was super helpful and explained everything to us. Made recommendations and was very friendly. The chicharron was delicious. We were in town for a shooting event for a week and we came back 2 days later for more. The special beans were also amazing. Second visit our order got messed up twice, but they tried to make it right. Only negatives were that they didn't put my requested grilled onions on my tacos both times. The tacos are great. But this place lacks customer service and ability to make queso. The queso tasted like cold Velveeta dumped in a bowl. No flavor. It was so bad, we threw it away. No lie. The photo was taken right before we trashed it. Nobody is ever there to help you with the order or pass you cups. After I placed my own order on the screen, I grabbed a cup off the counter since my order came with a drink and when I ask the person who brought out the food where the Mexican cokes were, since I bought it, she told me I needed to pay a $1 for the cup since had grabbed the larger cup. I'm sorry, but if you're leaving customers to fend for themselves to order, pay, grab their own drinks, don't get after them and make them pay extra for a slightly larger drink cup. So petty. Totally made me not want to come back today. She also spilled bean juice in our queso, without any apology, but luckily we hated it anyways and we weren't going to eat it but it was a waste of our money. Rant over. read more

Overall a solid experience. Clean location, nice decor, only one guy working the counter and serving, and there are order kiosks to speed up the ordering. I came here after a fun run with my sisters. The breakfast tacos were good (bean and cheese amazing and bacon and egg was ok). My sister had the Al Pastor tacos and she really liked them. We all agreed the salsas were great. Horrible experience! I love this taco chain and that makes it worse to have to write this. Counter girl made me wait an additional 15 minutes after I had received a text confirming my order was ready. When I got home, I noticed I was missing part of the order and the extra salsa I ordered; to top it all off, the food was cold. The salsa cups I did get were only a quarter way filled. Called the restaurant back and the counter girl was completely oblivious and ineffective. I had to drive back and wait even more to get a refund for the whole order in person. I wish I would remember the name of our waitress, she was awesome and the food was DELICIOUS. We order the combo 1 and for the kids the quesadillas with bistec, no onions because they are so picky. Took my wife and daughter for lunch, not a loud environment. The server was incredibly helpful explaining all the different types of tacos, the meat choices, and add ons. The food came with hardly any wait and was very good. We tried all the meats, barbacoa, chicharone, pork, pastor, and chicken. The barbacoa, and chicharone were my favorite. Bistec tacos were terrible, all tendons and joints...nasty. Go to Chelas Tacos...amazing food and modelo beer is $2.50cheaper than Mexican cokes.
