Suprisingly really good. Was at Disneyland a week ago with the GF n friends and we got really hungry after so decided to look for a spot that's open late and not to far and this came up. Ordered a bunch of carne asada tacos which is super bomb with good flavor especially with the amazingly hot salsa they have. ¡Es muy bueno! I've been going here when they were at there old location off Euclid and La Palma. There is a handful of taquerias I will go to, and this is one of them. There open late. I love there carna asada Buritos. They have a salsa bar. The only draw back is that they only take ca$h. But, they do have an ATM. Typical hole in the wall taqueria. Overall good food. read more

Taco Boy is more of a rustic type of Street Taco, truer to a Tijuana style of preparation. The overall presentation is standard, nothing fancy, taco's on a paper plate. The Tortilla's at time are dry and can be hard to swallow. The meat is were the concentration of the restaurant seems to be. I love the Al Pastor and the Carne Asada for the most part is tender. The complement of the the Salsa Roja is on par as well. In Anaheim it's difficult to find this type of restaurant that does it well. IMO Taco Boy is the most enjoyable in the area. If you looking for a "Sour Cream, Guac, and Hard Shelled Tacos" type of place, this probably isnt for you. read more

Been here twice already. First time I have carne asada tacos and 1 al pastor. Um the carne asada was dry, but the tortillas were soggy? And the Al pastor tacos, so greasy. You can't go wrong with the price for tacos on TACO TUESDAY but I rather spend the extra 15 cents and go somewhere else that day for tacos. Plus the lady at the desk, shes rude as hell. The males, well they are males you can just imagine. Small hole in the wall place. Would only eat here if it was my last option and was broke on a Tuesday. read more

Really enjoyed the tacos here! Al pastor is the bomb! We also tried the sopes and the enchiladas...they were ok, but the tacos are what will bring us back here! It would be nice if they had fountain drinks, but the grilled onions at the salsa bar make up for that because they were delicious! Great place and the service was good! read more

I've been going here for like 10 yrs. The food has always been good but i would not try seafood @ a taco place, for seafood go to a Mariscos place. The Al Pastor is as good as advertised. I recently returned from a cruise to Ensenada, where I had the best Al Pastor of my life. This is VERY close to that. They slow roast it on the spit, in traditional fashion. I believe they only do the Al Pastor on /friday, Saturday and Sunday. I'll be back next weekend. read more

I hardly ever write on these sites (although I do read reviews at least once a week) but after having a late lunch at Taco Boy I felt compelled to share my experience with the Yelp community. I went to Taco Boy for the first time this past Saturday and I'm completely hooked. My girfriend and I shared the chicken sopes and a carne asada burrito. I was really impressed for the following reasons: A. The quality of the meat that is used here is superb. B. The combination of ingredients used in their carne asada recipe is truly authentic. I often travel to Mexico on business and let me tell you that the carne asada that I had at Taco Boy is as good as the best carne asada that I've experienced South of the border. C. The people working there were extremely friendly. D. Their mouth watering salsa is the best I've ever had. Although we weren't drinking, I should mention that Taco Boy does serve beer...something that I will remember and be sure to take advantage the next time I go. We ate at around 2 p.m. and I'm glad that we came at this time as I've heard that the place gets pretty busy around lunch time. I'm sure that I will be coming back frequently as the prices are great and the food is incredible. read more

This Place... is legen...wait for it.... dary! I had two burritos last night my first time trying this place and it was amazing! carne asada burrito and an al pastor burrito really compliment each other. and the horchata was pleasantly soothing. I literally felt my eyes water up of the taste the food and beverages had. For a person who doesn't speak Spanish, I found it hard to get what I wanted in terms of a Chile Verde Burrito. I was told they don't serve that. I ordered a chicken burrito instead and it was just ok. The salsa bar was out of everything and the wife had to ask the employees to stock it. Wife liked her lengua taco but not the shrimp cocktail. Beer was cold which is a plus. No reason for us to visit again as there are many Mexican choices in the area that are a lot better. read more

this place has decent authentic mexican food but i rate it a 2 because it is so extremely dirty looking inside. the place is the epitomy of a "hole in the wall, dive" I ate there for the first time and got a burrito, and threw up that night. originally wanted to eat at cortinas, but since they were packed boyfriend and i decided to try something new and came here since yelpers gave it great reviews. what a disappointment... i duno if it's because i've had really really really good mexican food before or it was an off day for the cooks, but this place was horrible. al pastor taco- hella greasy and overcooked. asada taco - not too bad, but wasn't good either. fish taco - fish was really really dry. shrimp ceviche tostada - tostada was good, but the shrimp ceviche was o..k... asada fries - fries tasted old.. like a day or two old. horchata - pretty good. i usually don't like horchata, but this place makes it yummy. bumped it to two stars because of this drink. salsa's were good but the complimentary carrots looked GROSS. is it too much to peel the carrots? didn't look fresh. boyfriend and i left full, but not the good kind of full. sorry taco boy, but never again will i return. yuck... read more

Okay so first things first this place needs to get an a/c unit. The workers need to tell the owners to get the kind that pulls air from outside and cool's off this place because it is hot just to stand in line to order here. Once they handle that maybe some blinds because the sun hits the windows dead on all day till the evening. But that is me just thinking about the comfort of the customers and employees so let's move on. I usually come here for the tacos when I am too far from East L.A. and they really don't disappoint. The meats are very flavorful and the portions are very familiar to East Los street tacos. As for the other items I have had their burritos which are also really good because the rice and the beans have great flavor. I did have them create me a custom burrito with two large flour tortillas filled with everything inside and gave it to my brother in-law that was in town. So the people here are really accommodating and very nice so all around four stars not five because of the room temperature. The food is great but the comfort of the location has to be accounted in a review if they offer a dining area. read more

Taco Boy used to be my go to taco spot. Not because they are the best but because they are quick and convenient with decent food. Well I will never go back after my taco order on Saturday night. I ate my carne asada taco it was ok. A little fatty but doused with their salsa it was edible. I then proceeded to eat my chicken taco and bit into several large crunchy pieces. I spit it out...I couldn't figure out what it was. The beak, foot, or some other disgusting piece of the chicken. Within 5 minutes I was wretching and vomited everything I had just eaten. Came here on taco tuesday at the recommendation of a friend. Apparently, Taco Boy's red sauce tastes just like King Taco's red sauce, but not as atomic, which is good. Ordered 2 carne asada tacos, 2 cabeza, 2 al pastor tacos, and 1 carnitas taco. Also got a carne asada sope on the side. The carne asada, carnitas and al pastor tacos were good, but cabeza tasted the best. Carne Asada sope is pretty good as well. If only the cheese on top didn't taste so gritty. The nachos are forgettable, with the cheese and beans erring on the dry side. If anything, just come here for the tacos. Btw, they do not have fountain drinks here. Bottled drinks are the only beverages available. Mexican coke and jarritos are part of the selection for sale. read more

Hands down the best tacos I've had in the United States. Almost close to the authenticity you find in Tijuana. Amazing tacos de AL pastor y carne asada . They also have lemon, pineapple and horchata juice. One con however is there payment system. They do not have a credit card machine so it's best to take cash otherwise if you don't mind the extra charges they have an atm machine. read more
