This is what you'd get if you took chipotle and added spice and flare. The ambience isn't as great but my burrito was OUTSTANDING.

Stopped in today for the first time, and had the chile verde burrito bowl. Rice was good, beans weren't overcooked, the pork was seasoned well and the portion was huge. Definitely more bang for your buck than Chipotle. I wish they had tortilla chips, but that's really my only complaint. read more

I've been here numerous times and I can say as long as I'm living here, I will never feel the need to go back to Chipotle. Their bowls are awesome and the salsa verde is so good. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because occasionally we've caught a very grumpy line server who was just completely rude the entire time we were trying to get helped. For it being the first time there I was just asking some basic questions of how it worked, what they have and it was like pulling teeth to finally get a one-word answer... so I just let it be. Than... I ended up paying an arm and a leg for ... two street tacos, one soft taco and two drinks. ( I spend less money and get a whole lot more when I go to either Moes or to chipotle) The menu prices are unclear and the staff didn't help to clarify anything. Food was really not all that. It had basic flavor.... nothing that made my taste buds go wild. So again, I was not impressed. I will never return here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone that I know. Overall the food isn't too bad, i mean its edible, and they do give a decent portion of meat which is pretty rare elsewhere. However, the carne asada (which is steak in Spanish, kinda sad the workers didnt know that) tasted like a steak right off a grill instead of seasoned like real carne asada is supposed to. Also the "Spanish" rice was completely flavorless. Another good note about the place is the wide selection of Jarritos they offer. Being from Los Angeles doesnt help because i know you cant expect great Mexican food here in Norfolk but there are many simple ways places can be as close to it as possible. Okay, I went here tonight with my family and it was good. Really good. We almost didn't even go in because it didn't even seem open, we couldn't see anyone inside and it was kind of dark but the open sign was on so we went inside. So glad we did! The restaurant was very clean, the cooking area was open like any other restaurant of this style and it was spotless. I ordered a chicken burrito, the chicken was really tasty on its own but paired with the fresh ingredients and salsas it was just amazing. Chipotle and Qdoba are both super close by but this place is way better than both. I should add, the employees were very nice also. read more

The food is amazing and it is fresh. The lines are long but the wait if fair for the service of hot fresh food. The only reason for the 3 is due to the fact if you order a burrito with all veggies, they put cheese on the thing. Not sure when cheese became a veggie, but according to the staff, cheese is a veggie. If you dont want cheese you realllly have to work hard to let them know not to add it. If you're debating between trying this place or if you're thinking about going to chipotle or qdoba stop what you're doing and GO HERE. Their food is 10x better than both... their rice, meat, salsas and they have way more options... tacos, quesadillas, nachos.. everything is so flavorful and fresh and warm! I hate eating cold chipotle which it usually is. They also have bags of chips and queso dip that is better than whatever that crap is chipotle tried to sell as queso dip. Also whenever i go to chipotle i need two cups of sour cream to make my bowl taste good and not dry... i just ate half my bowl and realized i forgot my sour cream and don't even need it. I always support small businesses when i can and this place is sooo worth it. The same people are always working when i come here. They're not fluent in English but know enough to make your order and answer basic questions. This doesn't bother me at all, in fact I like brushing up on my Spanish and helping others learn English. If this bothers you then you're the problem not them. Their prices are also better than chipotle for the same amount of food. Please support this small business because if they ever go out of business I'll probably cry. read more

My first experience with this fast-casual restaurant was great! Similar to Moes, Qdoba, or Chipotle. I personally prefer this over its competitors.
