Came here for a quick bite after church on Sunday. I thought we'd be out of luck since this is a busy time of the day for restaurants in this area. Upon entering the restaurant I was shocked to see how dirty it was. The floors are not swept, food and trash under almost EVERY table. The tables are not wiped. I had to clean our area just to sit down. There are a total of 9 people (customers) in the restaurant so it is not busy, the employees should be cleaning this place. The manager has been walking around tending to complaints with slow service... there is nobody in here. And they also seem blind to the filth around the place. Let me see... we ordered through the drive through and thank gosh I checked our order while still at the window bc 2 items were not included. they gave us the one forgotten item and then i rechecked and realized they had forgotten the other one. I guess the lady who took our order didn't hear them ordered?? So, we were charged for it which was fine bc that was what we originally ordered. One was given for free which was nice. Then once we got home, they hadn't included our pico! I am so disappointed with the taste of our food we received. The s-l-o-w-e-s-t drive through you'll experience. Once you're trapped within the concrete confines expect a minimum of a 25 minute wait and the likelihood your order is wrong is high. We came here and ordered at the drive-thru which took over 25 mins. We were pretty annoyed at how slow the service was because we might as well have gone inside and dined in. Another issue I have is that their refried beans have pork lard in them. So for anyone out there that doesn't eat pork, I would definitely steer clear of taco cabana because they aren't clear what items on their money do or don't have pork in them which is a HUGE red flag and their employees seem a bit uninformed. read more

I'll give 3 stars because the food is always decent, man this place really needs to get there stuff together. Every time I go it seems they're dealing with chaos. They seem to be very understaffed and it seem there are a lot of wandering staff that look lost. Twice I've gone in around 11:30 before the lunch rush and had to wait over 30 minutes for my to go order. I eat at this location when it's late and nothing else is open. They are open 24/7. Service is sub par and the food is about the same. Something is always left out of the order from salsa to napkins. It's ok to fulfill your basic human need to eat but this place is nothing to brag about. The best thing they have are the breakfast tacos, which is the only reason for 3 stars. read more

Worst taco cabana. Very cheap when it comes to adding materials to their items. Ordered a bean and cheese taco it barely had any beans and cheese inside. Same with fajita nachos. I order enchiladas, she had to ask me twice what else I wanted, I said sour cream and guacamole on the side. No one was ahead or behind me, but she was confused. I pay and she hands me my food. I love me some Taco Cabana.. But this is the worst location I have ever been to. They are severely understaffed. The place is filthy and the service is appallingly slow. I received my plate after a 40 minute wait and it came without the guacamole but I didn't have the time to complain. As I was finishing my meal, an employee came and took my plate (wow...service!) but then wiped my table, while I was still occupying it, with a wet rag. There were several unoccupied tables she could have been wiping. Anyway I'll be surprised if I don't get sick from my lunch here, considering the state of this place. I have given this place several chances over a period of months and not once have they ever succeeded in *not* messing up my order. My wife and I were on our way to the grocery store and decided to stop here for lunch. We ordered a brisket burrito and chicken fajita burrito. WE love Mexican style food and rarely find it bad. In our opinion, this was real bad. The problem? The overpowering salt! In the rice (yellow colored) and the beans. Very, very, very salty. Horrible! I use salt on my food all the time, but hey, this was worse than gargling sea water. Somebody isn't measuring things. Then there's this: I went to the salsa bar to get jalapenos. I get back to the table and pop one in my mouth. Salty!!! What the heck? People can always add salt. Put too much in the product and it can't be taken back. Waited more than 10 minutes for our food to be brought out. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon, so not busy at all. Also, is it too much these days to train employees to smile and be polite? I hope other locations and their food are not this bad. Unfortunately, I don't want to risk another $20 to find out. Never again. Ever. There is a lot of competition out there in the restaurant business. Fast and friendly service with properly made food is a way to stand out these days. I don't think this franchisee really cares. I live in Irving. This place is terrible. All of this is my opinion. We spend about $600 a month eating out. None of that money will be going here. First time here for lunch at work. Incredibly dirty, tortillas all over the floor, cobwebs in the corner of the wall by the menu where the paint is coming off. Slllllooowwwww, almost late back to work. My order was incorrect but didn't have time to correct it. I love the chicken or steak fajita tacos. Every time I visit the service is fast and the staff is friendly. The tacos are always stuffed to over flowing and the prices are lower than other places. They did forget cheese on my breakfast tacos once but I order without eggs. I'm resigned to the fact that 30% of the time no matter where I am they will mess up the order slightly. It's the no egg that throws them. This is a great place to eat. The food is always fresh and the service is always good. The Salsa Bar rocks! read more

Farley cheap place for sort of fresh fast taco joint. Our first time and well it was an experience. Cashier was ready leave. Screwed up orders. Gave us free drinks just to leave. I've visited this location for lunch and breakfast and have sat for 20-30 mins in line in the drive thru. Indoors is no better. Worst experience ever. started out in a line for the drive thru, because it didn't seem like it was moving we decided to go inside instead hoping that the drive thru was the problem. Much to our surprise the lobby wasn't busy but with only on family and noticed they were not eating, and there was no workers around, then noticed that the condiment bar was empty and found that rather strange to as it was not but 8PM. We looked over the menu and waited for a cashier that never appeared. Walked to see if I could find anyone working and noticed two people one cooking. Asked them if a cashier could help us.The guy said there is only me making the food and orders with a non caring attitude as he didn't look at us or apologize or I will get to you as soon as I can. With the non caring attitude approach from him. We left. And will never go back there. We should have never ever gone there as the last time we went there years ago the food was under cooked. And vode to never come back. Thought we would see a change only to learn that it was a bad restaurant with no changes in site. However we are hoping that they would bring back the restaurant to South Irving via access and better then this one will ever be. 635 and Beltline location needs serious help if they are going to survive in this area. read more
