I love the simplified menu of just burritos, tacos and nachos. They fill their tacos to the brim. The taco meat is so delicious, I wish I could buy it buy the pound. I would've given this a 5 star review, but they mostly fail at special request. I despise sour cream and some of their Super Items include sour cream. Please check your drive through orders before driving off. I hate holding up the line, but they mostly fail. read more

Good, fresh food - generous with the toppings. Would have given five stars except they are stingy with the hot sauce- giving less than half of what I requested the last two times we went there. The first time I visited, I was with a group of teachers. It was the beginning of the school year. We had been learning about how Walt Disney has been impeccable in his approach to customers. As I ordered at Taco Casa, I was recalling this from our morning session. I noticed, simultaneously, that the folks working at the counter were highly courteous. As I sat to eat, I saw the cleanliness of the restaurant. While eating (and enjoying the delicious food) i noticed waiters bringing complimentary cinnamon crisps to tables, including ours. It's absolutely disappointing. I absolutely hate lettuce with a passion, can't stand it. I completely lose my appetite if I eat lettuce. I like spinach and some other vegetables but I adamantly hate lettuce. I hadn't gone to taco casa in months because EVERY SINGLE TIME I ask for no lettuce and what do they do? ALWAYS GET LETTUCE IN MY FOOD. I always get a chilada and a couple of tacos just meat and cheese only. I tell them no lettuce. They always manage to get lettuce in my food. Today I decided to pick it up for the first time in a while, I open it up and I EVEN SEE MULTIPLE PIECES OF LETTUCE IN MY CHILADA. THEY DONT EVEN ADD LETTUCE TO THE CHILADA. They are absolutely incompetent and just cannot keep their work station clean. I would hate to see how disgusting that kitchen has to be if they can't ever keep anything clean to where even their items that don't have lettuce get lettuce. Absolutely trashy and it says a lot about the management and the employees. Management should be on top of this I'm not the only one with this problem. read more

I've eaten a bunch at this location and besides price, you get well proportioned food for what you pay for. This is sometimes the problem with certain resteraunts, after a while they lose consistency and the portions suffer. I meet the owner and he was really nice and thoughtful. He introduced himself around to customers and in thoughtfulness, engaged me and made sure I was happy. Food was pretty good in terms of taste, quantity, and price. The only problem I had was that in the two orders placed we did not hear them call our name, and our food sat on the counter while they went about their lives. When we made our purchase, they said they would call my name so we went and sat in the dining room waiting and waiting and waiting. The first time, I thought it was my fault. But the second time, I could tell it was on their side. When I brought this to the attention of the cashier, and in a very friendly way said I just wanted to help them improve their operations, he said "what do you want me to do about it?" & shrugged his shoulders. Definitely a fan and have been waiting for Taco Casa to hit the DFW area for a while. I was elated to find one of the new locations here in Allen. Yessss! I've heard people compare Taco Casa to what Taco Bueno was back in the 80's/90's. It's definitely worth the trip. The ingredients taste fresher and they don't hold back on the cheese. Everything I've had from the menu so far has been a hit. My favorite by far is probably the beef soft taco. They're small, but oh so tasty. I have never experienced bad customer service here and the line tends to move quickly especially during the lunch rush when people are in a hurry. read more

I was really happy to see Taco Casa open in our area. Another choice outside of Taco Bell and Taco Bueno is always good. I have never tried Taco Casa before, but we had heard nothing but good things. I tried the Super Taco, Super Burrito, and an order of Frijoles. I have to say I was pretty pleased overall with everything I ordered. First, when they include "Super" in the item description they mean it. The taco had an ample portion of meat to it, and was also loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese. The shell was crisp and fresh. Light years better than the other fast food places. The Super Burrito was a large tortilla packed with meat, sour cream, cheese,red sauce, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, and black olives. Loved that as well. It was another excellent choice. The Frijoles were excellent. Definitely not the thimble sized container that Taco Bell is serving these days. This was a moderately sized cup with beans, red sauce, and a load of shredded cheddar cheese. My wife, unfortunately wasn't that pleased with the super nachos that she ordered. I got our order to go, so the nachos came pretty much as a build-your-own variety. One container had the chips and a cup of cheese. Another container contained the meat, sour cream, and beans. I think the intention is good in them wanting the chips to stay crisp. However, in reality most of the toppings were cold by time I got home, Plus, having to put everything together after spending $6.50 was a disappointment. I'll definitely give this another try. The price is a little higher than what you would spend at Taco Bueno, however the portions and quality make it worthwhile. One hope that I have is that they add some chicken options sometime in the future. read more

Their menu is simple, all the ingredients are fresh, and the restaurant is very clean. All of this with a friendly staff and very affordable prices. Absolutely love taco casa, unlike other taco shops that are not gracious with their toppings taco casa loads it up. Their menu isn't over the top, so don't get your hopes up with that, but I've tried everything they have. It's simple Tex Mex fast food, but it's pleasing to my taste buds. Being new to Texas I've been on a streak of finding new restaurants. Today, while out and about I had a sudden craving for fast Mexican. I would usually hit up a Taco Bell or a Taco Bueno, but Taco Casa just happen to be along my journey home, and so I though I would swing in and it give it a go! I had no idea what I was in store for. I ordered just simple menu items, a few tacos, burritos and some nachos. I wish I knew how much I was actually getting. Usually this was enough food when I ordered any place else, but at Taco Casa it was way more then I could devour and much more tasty. The only complaint I have is the cheese sauce has no flavor. The tortilla chips where delicious and the tacos where very filling. I can definitely make Taco Casa a choice when I need some fast Mexican. I like coming in for the tacos but now that they are on sale ($.99), the quality dropped. Sure, a taco is a taco but these guys usually pack their shells and load them with cheese.
