Food was incredible. All of it--from the flameado, crab taquitos, shrimp tacos. Unfortunately I ate too much before I was able to try the lobster quesadillas, but I'm sure they're delicious as well. Service was ok/not bad, but I'm not going to say it outshined the food. Ambiance--Restaurant itself seemed fairly clean. I know it's a fairly new building. I dined in on two different occasions in the same week. Both around the same time of 7PM. The first visit, I was sat at a high top near the bar. My server was very sweet and attentive. She made sure that my drink was filled and that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. That evening, I tried the Huerfanitos and Ceviche Blanco Snapper (DELICIOUS, will order again!!) I was very satisfied with my service that I decided to return the following evening... Now this evening, I believe there was a soccer game on. We were quoted 50 minutes to sit inside or immediate seating outside. Upon sitting, we were quickly greeted and brought waters. After that, we experienced such slow service. I understand that it was busy, but I hardly saw my server. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes to place a drink order (we got the frozen margaritas, very tasty and strong.) and we also placed our food order at the same time. We had to ask another server to help us a couple times as our server had not checked on us... Very dissatisfied with the service this last time, but I understood that the server had tables all over the restaurant and then later told us that they had call outs and were short staffed... Overall--I enjoy the food, margaritas, and the vibe of the restaurant. I'd like to return to try more entrees and hopefully the service will be just as good as my first time here! read more

I came here for another retiree luncheon. It was a first time for me. I struggled with the menu the night before, because everything on the menu had something that didn't check all the boxes for me. I finally asked for the Un Poquito de Todo which was touted as a combination of cheese enchilada, chicken flauta, carne asada taco, and cheese quesadilla with pico de gallo. Rice, borracho beans, and guacamole salad. I asked for refried beans because I just don't like borracho beans. I'm just going to go down the list: Cheese enchilada- best item of the meal. I like it a lot. Chicken flauta- also very good. Carne asada taco- meat was cut into tiny little cubes and overcooked. Cheese quesadilla with pico de gallo- I only tasted pico de gallo. The cheese might has well have not been there. No cheesy taste at all! Rice- Even with all the vegetables in it, I could taste nothing. Refried Beans- Not very good. Tasted like mashed pinto beans. No flavorings or manteca were used. Guacamole- This was excellent. I wish it hadn't been placed on watery lettuce. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was probably the best I have ever had. I absolutely loved every bite. I probably will never go back here, as there are way too many better Mexican restaurants to choose from. If I do, I will probably only order the appetizer portion of guacamole and a flan for dessert. read more

This location is just as good as the others and does not disappoint. Everything is delicious here, but if I were to pick favorites, you must try the ribeye guacamole, quesadillas, fiesta nachos, and the lobster enchiladas. For drinks, you must have the famous Chispa! Great spot with plentiful of parking. We've been to another location for this restaurant and had a great time. It was very spacious inside, also had bar with sports. We had mini tacos aka taquitos and tortilla soup. Both tasted amazing! The soup is LARGE, so if you're getting it with a main, the small version would be sufficient. We had a good time. Only downside was the hostess, she definitely didn't care for her job. Finished watching whatever TikTok was on her phone then asked a repeat question again. The food was delicious, but pricey for lunch. They need a lunch menu with more reasonable prices. I ordered the small tortilla soup and it was big enough to be a meal in itself! Very delicious with lots of chicken and chicharone on the side to add to the soup if you wish. For my entree I ordered TACOS DE FAJITA, two tacos full of delicious, tender skirt steak. There was honestly enough meat to have made 4 tacos! The meat could have had more seasoning, but that's just my opinion. The food everyone else ordered looked delicious and everyone said they loved their meals. I'll go back. Just be prepared to pay dinner prices if you go for lunch. read more

My daughter wanted to eat her before looking at a Toyota Grand Highlander at the nearby dealership. She had been here before and thought I would like it. Parking was easy as we were before the lunch rush. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Our waiter quickly brought our menus and took our drink and appetizer order. He gave us enough time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. We both ordered the same thing, the cheese enchiladas. They offered both cheddar and mozzarella, so we both did 1 of each. The salsa seemed to be made with smoked peppers, which I love. The queso was late getting to our table, but it was good. Our dinners arrived shortly after we inhaled those enchiladas. They were tasty but very small. The wait staff did a good job of checking on us, and we never lacked anything. We had multiple waiters, so it was kind of hard to remember who ours was. Will I return? Ordered flour and corn tortillas. The corn tortillas were homemade per our server, however the first batch they brought out were homemade, but then the corn tortillas that came with the fajitas were store bought premade. Had dinner this past Saturday night Chips were stale ( how do you screw this up) Guacamole was the consistency of mayonaise. Like you buy from Walmart. Another great experience! We came at 5:40pm on Friday without a reservation or calling ahead and were quoted 30 minutes for a table, understandably. We were sat 30 min later and were warmly greeted by Mercedes. Ordered a Chispa (of course!) and Chiveche to start and we have to say, the best we've had in a long time! Food is ok, but the sub par service makes the experience bad. Once order is taken you may not see server until you are half way through your meal, as the person who delivers the meal will never bring anything you ask for, like tortillas or hot sauce. Muy bien and deliciouso is the way I would describe this local San Antonio Mexican delight. The food was as good as the service from German our server. I had the chicken quesadillas appetizer which was served with a small sampling of guacamole and shredded greens. Our server even brought samples of their mole sauce and green creme cilantro sauce for dipping. This location was easy to find across the highway from the newly opened Lamborghini store . They even had the Copa soccer games on three different areas over the small bar area .That was a win win for me. We came here for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy when we first got here and were sat right away. The church crowd showed up while we were eating and the restaurant filled up. The restaurant is in a small strip mall with a large parking lot. We got complementary chips and salsa. The chips were good, but the salsa wasn't very spicy. The environment is nice, and the tables looked clean along with the one I sat at. The waitress that helped me however was honestly kind of cold and even a little rude. This didn't really affect my opinion of this place yet though. I just left lunch with my wife at El Mirasol and had an great experience. The chips seemed freshly made, warm and offering a satisfying crunch, and the salsa had a vibrant flavor that was both refreshing and unique. The restaurant itself looked new and clean, service was impressively fast, and our waitress was pleasant and attentive but also keep in mind it was after the lunch rush at about 130pm on a random Monday. I tried the shrimp tacos, which were fantastic. The shrimp were fresh, but what really drew my attention was the shells, fried to a perfect crispy but light texture. Haven't had anything like it. The accompanying chipotle and lime sauces were impeccable, adding just the right amount of zing. Additionally, the vegetarian enchiladas featured a really good vegetable medley that tasted fresh and didn't feel too heavy.
