The worst Mexican food I've ever had! Both of our foods were tasteless and bland. I took a bite and noticed a bug walking right on it!!!

I been coming here for the last past 10 years and every time I come, is always wrong... this time I ask for huevos rancheros, the plantains was so disappointed one side cook the other raw... ‍ the tortillas was little undercook... I just don't understand I was the only one in the restaurant at the time.

The tamales are extremely good!* The papusas a bit dry and they didn't give me the slaw that usually comes with a papusa or even the tomato sauce I was a bit disappointed. The tacos very authentic and a generous amount for the price. The prices here are so good! As for the cleanliness factor... I've got to give them a lower score based on this. They weren't busy with customers yet the tables and floors were not cleaned. All of The condiments on the tables have not been cleaned..runny drippy bottles encrusted with The former customers use...yuck! The cooking area is completely visable which I personally like as it gives you the chance to see what's going on and how it's kept. They could DEFINATLY give this area a once (or twice) over with some hot water and bleach. They do seem to keep the working station clean enough but things like the fridge and equipment really need attention. Also the ceiling tiles around the vents are blackened with dust and sot. The man working the counter was very very nice. For a tamale craving in a take out type of atmosphere for super short money...this place will suffice.

I love this little place; I found it when I had a bunch of time to kill while I was waiting to get my hair cut. I believe it is owned by a husband and wife, one being El Salvadorian and one being Mexican. I get the same thing all the time, Chicken Burrito and the empanadas!! One of my favorite little hole in the walls, I've tried almost everything there and you will not find more authentic food anywhere read more

Talk about a hidden JEM, I have been eating here for the last 5+ years and found it by accident. This place has some of the most amazing Mexican and El Salvadorian food in the world!!! The chicken barrito is to die for, and they make the best cream filled empanada's EVER!!! The only problem, based on who is working, is if you don't speak spanish, sometimes they can make mistakes on your order, for example the last time I orderd a chicken barrito and 2 empanada's and the guy gave me a chicken and empanada barito, lmao, but it was still good!!! great hidden jem with TOP notch food!!! read more

I ordered 2 veggie tacos, 1 pork taco, and a beef tongue taco(it was my first time trying beef tongue). I also ordered a mixed pupusa(my 1st time trying a pupusa too). The food was delicious. It was seasoned very well, it was very fresh tasting, and the tacos were pretty stuffed. My DC ordered a chicken burrito which came with tortilla chips and fresh salsa on the side. She loved it. We ordered all this and 2 sodas and the total was around $15. I will definitely be returning so I can sample some more of their menu. read more

Not a fan of the tacos, but the burritos are actually good. My boyfriend got a chicken burrito with EVERYTHING on it and I was pretty impressed. As a local joint the prices are definitely affordable. read more

I've been there several times and found it to be crap-shoot. Today, I greeted the girl at the counter. She looks over to me then down, never saying anything. I asked for a large chicken burrito. I then specifically say, "No hot sauce, then in Spanish "Sin Picante." She acknowledges it. I get the burrito back to the house and it falls apart. I'm half through, now eating it with a fork and my tongue and lips are tingling from the hot sauce. That was the last time I go there. Super Burrito on the other side of Everett I found to be better.. They greet me from the counter and always serve with a smile. They also produce a great product. read more

Do NOT ever order the picadera dish for delivery at night. We ordered that dish and was expecting quality meats and hot fried yuca. They arrived late, the food was cold and they even added a bonus! Hotdogs!!! WTF...not cool. I gave then 1 start for trying. read more

My steak taco was $1.80 for that price the portion was bigger than you would expect. If I had been hungry I would have ordered 2 or 3. The steak was well seasoned, but it had a salty bite that reminded me of jerky. Also it's really not that hard to find, it's right near the post office, but if you don't live in Everett you may get lost. If you can park in the lot by the barber shop. read more

Heavenly papusas. Comes with vinegary coleslaw and light tomato sauce. I also ordered beans and rice on the did e. The beans were really well seasoned. This place has a really cozy, homey feel. My only regret is that I didn't come on a Monday or Tuesday. They serve chile relanos on those days. Everything looked amazing and is reasonably priced. read more

Authentic and homey, inexpensive, not quite as good as lunch at Taqueria Mexicana in Somerville however. Pork taco and cheese pupusa for $3.75. Enjoyed the slaw on the pupusa. Will definitely be back to work my way through the menu. Local crowd, lively and Spanish. My cop buddy in Melrose hooked me up. Burrito next time. read more

Listed as Mexican on here but actually it's not Mexican (El Salvadorian I do believe), Although they do have tacos, papusas and other Mexican style dishes. My favorite is the beef guisada and on occasion I will drive 45+ minutes just to get a taste. This is like Abuelita's home cookin, really cant get any better! read more

Food is okay....The prices however are ridiculous. $12 for two little pieces of pollo guisado rice and plátanos? Why??? It's a different price depending on who's working the register. I've given this place plenty or opportunities and it's just disappointment after disappointment. Do yourself a favor and go to East Boston for Salvadoran/Mexican food. read more

I just moved to this area, and this is the best place around! Everything on the menu is good, but the chicken is fantastic! Try a pupusa, if you don't know what it is, ask and the owner will let you know. Although the owners English isn't great, he is very friendly and helpful. The good is great, and you can't beat the price. read more

This place sells old food and the last time I went there I got sick for 5 days straight.Also the service is horrible. Finally they deny that they have expired food. Also they use the same plates to make each food without washing them.Secondly the tables are disgusting because nobody ever cleans them.Also they say your eating chicken for example and you are eating pork! The kitchen is to nasty to even be making food. Are they even qualified to be making food? That's my question? this place is authentic and incredible....its cheap as hell too. the pork tacos are amazing, crispy pieces of pork stuffed into a soft tortilla with all kinds of toppings. my mouth is watering thinking about it.... they seem to have special dishes daily too, right under the counter....just point an order!... everything i have had has been great. read more

At no point did anyone apologize for the mistake or show any concern that a customer with a dairy intolerance had been served something they couldn't safely eat. The entire experience was frustrating, disappointing, and honestly upsetting. Mistakes happen, but the rude treatment, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for a food allergy are what made this experience so unacceptable. I reported them to the Chelsea City Health Department so they can "fix their system" so no one else has to experience this.

The food is very good.I am a simple meats and potato guy, their large steak burrito was great tasting and I couldn't finish it.It was less than $7.00 -I ordered another one to go. My wife is Spanish, I don't understand what she ordered, but she was happy when she ate it..They do speak English and Spanish of course. It was not busy. It is a small place, it is perfect to take something home to eat..It is laid back, they will finish their conversation with who they are talking to 1st before they begin with you.. Understand this is their custom, and in our American I needed it a hour ago attitudes you will probably be disappointed with their service.
