    Bug walking on tomato!!!
    Morteza S.

The worst Mexican food I've ever had! Both of our foods were tasteless and bland. I took a bite and noticed a bug walking right on it!!!

    Plantains for the huevos rancheros...

I been coming here for the last past 10 years and every time I come, is always wrong... this time I ask for huevos rancheros, the plantains was so disappointed one side cook the other raw... ‍ the tortillas was little undercook... I just don't understand I was the only one in the restaurant at the time.

    Tamale

The tamales are extremely good!* The papusas a bit dry and they didn't give me the slaw that usually comes with a papusa or even the tomato sauce I was a bit disappointed. The tacos very authentic and a generous amount for the price. The prices here are so good! As for the cleanliness factor... I've got to give them a lower score based on this. They weren't busy with customers yet the tables and floors were not cleaned. All of The condiments on the tables have not been cleaned..runny drippy bottles encrusted with The former customers use...yuck! The cooking area is completely visable which I personally like as it gives you the chance to see what's going on and how it's kept. They could DEFINATLY give this area a once (or twice) over with some hot water and bleach. They do seem to keep the working station clean enough but things like the fridge and equipment really need attention. Also the ceiling tiles around the vents are blackened with dust and sot. The man working the counter was very very nice. For a tamale craving in a take out type of atmosphere for super short money...this place will suffice.

    Yummy tostada

This was my second time visiting this establishment. This time I tried their burritos and tostadas. Both were what I expected and yummy! Don't pass this place up give them a chance!

A gem. Cheap, legit, friendly, and DELICIOUS!! I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to try it. Got tacos and pupupas. Just great! Can't wait for my next visit.

The steak was cooked perfectly and it came with everything I was craving. Plus the refried beans, creama, eggs, plantains, chicharron, and warm tortilla--yum! The pupusa was different, as it's made with a different cheese here which the waitress did warn us. Because of this, it wasn't our favorite but still good. Overall this spot is popular in East Boston, I would definitely check it out! Also if you tell them it's your birthday they will sing to you and you get to wear the special hat :)

The prices are not good at all for the quality and portion size . The waiter took forever to just bring us water , never mind servicing us . Yikes ! The vibe feels like you're in a busy supermarket not warm at all . Parking is limited as they have no garage. Plus it's located near the Tobin bridge so no side street parking . You might have to walk like 2 blocks or less for a safe parking spot . Just always read the signs before parking .

I have recommended this restaurant to many friends and often post them bc on my social media. During our last meal here, we dined in and I also had ordered 10 pupusas for to go (costed about $30 for the to go order) When I came home, I tasted the pupusas and they tasted spoiled. i recalled tasting the sourness at the restaurant when I ate a pupusa dined in but I thought the salsa/ tomatoes was from a sour batch. I tried to contact the restaurant Facebook through messaging just so they could be aware of the problem... they left me on read and then blocked me. Very unprofessional. I'm very disappointed because this was one of my favorite restaurants, but my bf is happy he won't have to drive 1.5 hrs to Boston anymore. Bad experience but very good food when it's not spoiled.

Both of us got enchiladas - they were good. Not great, not bad, just good. Service is really hit or miss...even in the same visit. Party of 2, we were seated, got our drinks right away and ordered our appetizer. Appetizer came we ate, then the server told us we were being moved to the other end of the restaurant. Server was no where to be seen for a long time. She finally came back to take our order, we waited, drinks emptied, no server. Food came out and then we didn't see our server again for a long time. I had to flag her down when I finally saw her standing on the other side of the restaurant just so I could get my bill. They didn't even comp the appetizer for moving us across the restaurant after we'd already been seated and served. I get needing to shift customers sometimes but comping an app or a round of drinks is an easy way to keep the customer happy instead of putting out a paying guest. This similar level of service on our first visit. I will be hard pressed to come back based on how bad their customer service has been on both visits.

The space is super cute and perfect for a night out. We stuck to appetizers this time. The food was pretty good overall, but I wish the ceviche had a little more flavor. The drinks, though, were amazing! Each one came out with gorgeous presentation and tasted just as good as they looked. The service was great too, the girls working there were really sweet and attentive. Great first visit and definitely will be a go to spot for nights out.

The bigger issue came when we got home and opened our order. We specifically ordered bean pupusas, but they were made with cheese. Since I have a dairy intolerance, this wasn't just a small mistake--it meant I couldn't eat the food we had paid for. When I called to explain the issue, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or showing any concern about the intolerance, she repeatedly told me that this is how they have it in their system and implied that it was our fault for not specifying otherwise. I explained multiple times that we ordered "bean pupusas," but she kept talking down to me and making me feel like I was the problem. She eventually said the kitchen would remake them, but only if we brought the original order back to exchange them, which felt like she thought we were making up an excuse to get free food. At no point did anyone apologize for the mistake or show any concern that a customer with a dairy intolerance had been served something they couldn't safely eat. The entire experience was frustrating, disappointing, and honestly upsetting. Mistakes happen, but the rude treatment, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for a food allergy are what made this experience so unacceptable. I reported them to the Chelsea City Health Department so they can "fix their system" so no one else has to experience this.
