This place is the quintessential Los Angeles taco shop. $5 for most burritos. The guys were really nice, food was served quickly and value was really good.

This is a good spot!! I had the quesadilla and some barbacoa. OMFG!!!! Cheap and good. The owner helped me make a decision. They have tacos, burritos, plates, breakfast, and I mean other things. If your in DTLA you need to make it a point to try this. Taco House 3!! The gentleman helped take my huge order to my place 3 blocks down from them. Nice and clean. I am a fan for sure. Try it and you can't go wrong. Only downfall to this place is they close early. Sometime I want tacos for dinner but I stuck with other options. Other than this minor set back place is very very good!!!

My first time here this year. MUST Try once in your lifetime at least and you'll be hooked !!!! Super Authentic,Delicious,Spectacular Mexican food !!!!!!While shopping at the flower district i remembered that many years ago I had tried a delicious Mexican food here in DTLA,as my surprise I accidentally found it and I was so delighted that it was still here, o I decided to eat there again. And let me tell you ,it's a small place, very humble lil spot but the food was incredibly amazing . Authentic Mexican food, everything fresh and delicious Large variety on the menu and if there's something they don't have on the menu they will customize it to your taste. I tried the Chile Verde (Green Chile) and a chorizo and egg Torta. Let me tell you it was perfectly done, just the right amount of seasoning and lots of meat and chorizo. They do not skimp on anything. Also try the salsas. Freshly freshly made ,the best I've ever had and I don't eat spicy foods.

Their chicken taco...I requested added cheese...surprisingly good.

I work near by...first time here...considering there's not only an abundance of restaurants in DTLA, there's an abundance of Mexican spots/taquerias near by in particular. Anywho, I walked past after getting off of work early and decided to give them a try. I never went in b/c it looked sort of grungy in my opinion, but when I noticed the "A" grade in their spot plus the cheap menu prices I decided to stop and yelp the spot(as usual) and gave it a chance. I was skeptical as the place didn't look too clean, there were customers and w/ the good yelp and city grade I said heck, why not?! I just ordered 1 chicken taco b/c I don't eat much in 1 sitting. To my surprise it was amazing! The chicken pieces I had in my taco that day was a bit large, but it didn't bother me too much. The flavor was amazing. I assume the rest of the food sold here is amazing...but w/ the grungy look I wouldn't help but be skeptical. Overall a solid food spot...if they looked cleaner I would have given it 4 stars. But I have to give it 3.

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! Parking can be a bit challenging but drive around a few blocks and you'll find a few spaces. Worth the walk after an incredible meal. Happy eating!

While it is definitely on the pricier side, the flavors are extremely unique and delicious, making it worth the splurge for a special night out. My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu--that was actually the whole reason I came back! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.

Hollenbeck was good but I definitely enjoyed the Okie burrito more, I ordered the "original" size once and didn't seem to learn my lesson the second time, these burritos can feed two in Original size. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.

We got our favorites... the live sea urchin and the ceviche de atun. The ceviche is a showstopper, everyone loved it. The sea bass entree was good and had a beautiful presentation, it was also nice for sharing, but the number of bones to pick out was a little annoying. That's what you get with ordering a full fish though! Not their fault. The pulpo tacos were tasty too, I love their handmade blue tortillas. But probably my least favorite of the bunch.
