I was at the restaurant a few days ago while visiting an old friend on my way home from a wedding and I have to say I have never been so happy to find a Yelp page in my life. No not to tell anyone that it was good, but to warn all women not to go here. You know what, add men who tip based on service not waitress looks in the mix of people who shouldn't go here. They will be unimaginably rude to you. My friend and I overheard one waitress a taller thin lighter skinned girl with short black hair and a tattoo on her arm say she thought a female customer who came in earlier was a stupid cow. I was applaud off the bat with that one. We decided to stay and order. Mistake. It took over 20 min. for food to get to our table, not to be cooked, but to be picked up from the counter and brought to us. We never got refills and when my friend finally got up to ask for more coke he was told customers should not be approaching the counter unless to pay, that it was staff space. He was upset and said he would pay for his food then. The women then said Hand over your check, oh you don't have it, you'll have to wait until you have it to pay. We sincerely thought about leaving without paying. We should have. there were an array of charges on our checks, 3 drinks (we had 2 but were told because he went up to the counter it counts as a new drink), sour cream (when we were told that came on the tacos already), and a check split fee (?????) to name a few. We paid as one ticket which saved us $2 but they said the rest were correct charges. We didn't tip and were told we should really tip good servers. I couldn't help but laugh on our way out. When you walk into Taco Hut you know you will be treated well, they make you feel right at home,you are greeted with a nice HELLO from everyone who's working Once you are seated they bring you chips and salsa. Menu is pretty well organized ( there are some extra charges) make sure you read all the fine print if you have any questions make sure you ask server. Atmosphere is excellent ,it can get a bit loud. Has a couple TV's that are used for sporting events throughout the day. Have never had one bad meal since I've been going, they even make an awesome Hamburger . They do have plenty of SPECIALS during the week. Taco Tuesday is one of the BEST Beer specials every month for $1.99 ( 1 flavor ) Servers are the very well trained and they LOVE to make you happy! I just happen to drop by the Taco Hut one day off Philadelphia for a bite. When I walked in the door I was greeted with a big smile from a pretty lady I later found out was named Vicky. What a pleasure it was to be waited on by Vicky. She was very polite, so nice, very accomdating and gave me the best service I have had in a very long time. I ordered the pozolie with flour tortillas. It was just delicious. Vicky is amazing, she made my first experience unforgettable and I will certainly be coming back for more. I hope that you acknowledge Vicky she really is one in a million. I look forward to my next visit and having a wonderful dining experience with Vicky sometime in the very near future. This Mexican place is amazing. The food here is very good and give you a huge portion as well. And the price of their food is just right, and the service and staff that works here is awesome, they are all nice down to earth people. Cant ask for a better mexican food place than taco hut. They really go out of there way to make you feel at home like family and make sure you are happy and enjoy your time there. The vibe at this place is awesome it looks and has that traditional mexican restaurant look but with a new young feel for the ages. This place is great for the whole family and or just hanging out with your friends or even ordering to go. We were doing some coonstruction work in the parking lot and came in for lunch. Just want to say the place is great Elaine made us feel at home. She gave us super great service and never skipped a beat if we needed anything. As a matter of fact we never had to call her. It's like she knew when we needed somthing. To tell you the truth I hate writing anything but do believe in giving credit where its due. ELAINE your awsome and will recommend the Taco Hut to all I know. This is my first time writing a yelp I am so impressed Taco hut Ontario. Even though they don't have a patio they made it happen doing what they had to do to get approval from who ever to make us comfortable and happy. I just moved here from out of state and I seen taco hut so I thought Id try it out! Let me tell you it was AMAZING! I was greeted so friendly right as soon as I walked in the door! She told me to eat the fajitas which I did boy they were amazing I also loved the strawberry lemonade that was made for me. Me and my boyfriend tried taco hut for the first time we were a little skeptical and weren't really sure what to order. Our waiter Anthony suggested we try the shredded beef and chimi burrito. My god was it amazing ! I strongly strongly recommend. Try ad make it here at least once per month if not per week. The staff at Taco Hut is always professional and accommodating to my requests. My kids especially love when they put fresh strawberries in the soda. There aren't many places that make you feel like home. However this one does just that! Yelp brought me here and it didn't disappoint - it's definitely not your typical authentic mexican joint. A bit Americanized with country music playing! But the food made up for it! Came here for my first taco Tuesday and Mariana showed me that they had added shark tacos! I mean I don't know how often it is that you go to a Mexican restaurant and can eat actual shark meat but it was delicious and definitely worthwhile.
