    Mojarra Frita
    Mr. C.

I don't get how these Mexican spots in the IE are rated so high, they are all mid. I would like to find one but it's miss after miss. Anyway I got a mojarra frita with rice and beans. The mojarra was decent, had a good amount of seasoning and overall a solid taste. The rice was honestly whatever, nothing you can't get in a fast food Mexican spot. Same as the beans, nothing exciting about them, they throw some cheese on top to help consume them with choking. Mojarra Frita: 7.8 Rice: 7.0 Beans: 6.6

I had a chimichanga shredded beef . Has good taste . Fast service . Portions are big .

    8. Two Enchiladas Rancheras

I was really craving some Mexican food after a festival and stopped by here around brunch time because it was close. I am soo glad I did because the food was delicious! I ordered the Two Enchilada Rancheras. The portion size was satisfyingly larger than I expected it to be. The entire plate was so flavorful and the enchiladas were cooked to perfection. There is ample seating inside and the service is also quick and friendly. You get complimentary chips and salsa as well. If I'm ever in the area again, I would love to come back

    The #44 50/50 entree

So good and friendly. I was in the area and was getting hungry and decided to stop in. Thank goodness I did, it was so good. I had the #44 50/50 meal. It was half pork and half beef with rice and beans. Oh my lord it was all so good. The spices were amazing and got my sinuses moving, the salsa was delicious, and the chips had a good heft to them so you could scoop up a lot of salsa! I enjoy little hole in the wall places like this and was exactly what I was looking for. I was taken care of by Rosa and she was wonderful. Can't wait to go back.

Gonna here a few times and it always hits the spot. The quesadilla is good and these al pastor tacos are good too. Service is always friendly quick. Usually just pickup and go but the place is always clean and very well lit inside if you want to eat at the restaurant

    Taco de lengua

Wow, what a hidden gem! There are soo many options for Mexican food in the IE, but I'm so glad to have stumbled across this place! Was looking to satisfy a craving for loaded asada fries. My goodness, I swear their carne asada fries are the best I've ever had!!! Super crispy and well-seasoned fries (reminds me of popeyes fries) and tender asada (I'm very picky with asada because it always tends to be dry), topped with heaping amounts of refried beans, guac and sour cream. The portion was massive, they do not skimp! This is a must order if you're a fan and coming hungry. Tacos de lengua were absolutely delicious too! Huge chunks of lengua that were slightly charred and well-seasoned. The lengua was tender without falling apart, and soo flavorful. Surprisingly some of the best I've had, which is something I never expect from a sit-down Mexican restaurant (compared to taco stands in my experience). Salsa could be better. Meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa (you can request a spicier salsa if you like). Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the strawberry margarita. Waayyy too sweet and syrup-y, like actually viscous. My boyfriend had to water it down to make it drinkable lol. Our server was soooo sweet and always made sure we had everything we needed. Love the casual atmosphere; plenty of booth seating and not loud at all. Delicious food, amazing service- can't wait to come back and try more!

Love this place.. I always come here when I'm craving for some Mexican food. My Go-To order is their Fish Taco, Burritos and their Chile Verde plate. Be sure to ask for their Hot sauce. It's really hot but tasty.

I have been coming here for a few years now and have always been happy with the food and service especially Leo who is no longer here, Sara and Ofalis and why I've come back almost weekly! Today I came in and when I didn't see Sara I should've left but no, we stayed and regretted it. The order was wrong and no matter that they made it over it was no better. Very disappointed with the whole experience and so I have no plans to return for a long while and if I do it'll be after 4pm when Odalis or one of the other friendly people is here! Attaching pics of the same meal from before and today. Pics are labeled.

Got the carne asada and shredded beef burritos. Loved both of them! First time at this spot on the way home from Palm Springs. Beef in every bite and the meats were seasoned just right for every bite. Great portion size as well. Will be back when we're passing through next time! Great staff as well!!

Shredded Beef Burrito (smothered with Guacamole and Sour Cream)

My wife and I were passing through Ontario and stop by El Chilitos based on the reviews. As we entered, we were greeted with smiles and felt very welcomed as they provided complimentary chips and homemade salsa. We shared a Shredded Beef Burrito and Carne Asada fries. Both were delicious and full of flavor! They were very friendly and attentive through out our time at the restaurant. If you're looking to support a small, local restaurant, with good food and service, make sure to stop by El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant!

Though food was good. The price is a little too high. I.e., Menudo was $20 a bowl. Really?

I ordered for delivery today, and you forgot to include the $3.50 bottle of Coke. How do I get that?

Do they make hand made flour tortillas?

No they don't but they have hand made corn tortillas every Saturday and Sunday morning they usually run out by 11 so get there early!

First of all, the decorations are amazing. The first thing that caught our eyes were the hanging lit up butterflies. They really make a statement. Next to them is a tree covered in Christmas lights, and next to that is a lit up aquarium looking thing. Even when I went to the restroom, I noticed that the cement floor had sparkly gold specks and something that looked like the Milky Way. As a vegetarian, I was so happy that the menu had leaf symbols so that I could quickly tell which items I could ask for without meat. The food came out fast. It felt like we had barely ordered them and the waitresses were suddenly coming out with them. The portions were huge, like my sister ordered the grande nachos and it really was grand. It looked like an appetizer that was meant to be shared with a group of people. The food tasted good. I enjoyed my meal so much that as big as it was, I devoured the majority of it and only stopped because I was too full. Towards the end, one of the employees asked if he could take away my plate and even though I knew he wasn't our waitress and it probably wasn't his job, I asked him for boxes instead. When our waitress came to our table to ask if I wanted boxes, the other employee at that moment handed us the boxes. I thought it was nice that the other employee did that for us even though he probably wasn't expected to. Overall, we had a great experience here.

Not sure why it can be labeled that. Whole beans, white rice, Poblano sauce are. Always best to ask! I had a wonderful server that double checked for me and made sure I knew that when I shared I can't have meat product in anything. Thank you so much!! It's a beautiful restaurant and food quality was great. But the menu truly needs to have transparency and accurate labeling.

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

They give you corn nuts and a spicy sauce on the house. We tried the yuca fries which came with a cheese sauce and it was tasty. The ceviche had a perfect lime tang to it. I've only ever had Mexican ceviche so this one was different but delicious. There was sweet potato, red onion, corn and corn nuts. For the entrees, we tried the pesto pasta with beef. The pesto was a bit heavy but the beef was SOLID. So tender and flavorful especially if you drizzle the spicy sauce they give you at the start of the meal. The other dish we tried was the lomo saltado - beef with rice and fries. Also a very good option if you prefer rice/fries over pasta.
