This place was one of the best Cal Mex restaurants I visited visited in a long while. My husband only liked his Al pastor Gordita- because the shell was so greasy and heavy- though said the fillings were excellent. The beans were made with pork, and if you like that you would love them. Now I was thrilled with my meal- the secretary's lunch. I would not recommend placing an order for pickup at this location. The male server who assisted me tonight displayed very poor manners and a complete lack of customer service skills. He was already very unprofessional and unpleasant over the phone, and to make matters worse, he forgot to place my order, which was understandably frustrating. Wow, what a hidden gem! There are soo many options for Mexican food in the IE, but I'm so glad to have stumbled across this place! Was looking to satisfy a craving for loaded asada fries. My goodness, I swear their carne asada fries are the best I've ever had!!! Super crispy and well-seasoned fries (reminds me of popeyes fries) and tender asada (I'm very picky with asada because it always tends to be dry), topped with heaping amounts of refried beans, guac and sour cream. The portion was massive, they do not skimp! This is a must order if you're a fan and coming hungry. Tacos de lengua were absolutely delicious too! Huge chunks of lengua that were slightly charred and well-seasoned. The lengua was tender without falling apart, and soo flavorful. Surprisingly some of the best I've had, which is something I never expect from a sit-down Mexican restaurant (compared to taco stands in my experience). Salsa could be better. Meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa (you can request a spicier salsa if you like). Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the strawberry margarita. Waayyy too sweet and syrup-y, like actually viscous. My boyfriend had to water it down to make it drinkable lol. Our server was soooo sweet and always made sure we had everything we needed. I have been coming here for a few years now and have always been happy with the food and service especially Leo who is no longer here, Sara and Ofalis and why I've come back almost weekly! Today I came in and when I didn't see Sara I should've left but no, we stayed and regretted it. The order was wrong and no matter that they made it over it was no better. Very disappointed with the whole experience and so I have no plans to return for a long while and if I do it'll be after 4pm when Odalis or one of the other friendly people is here! We were looking for a place to eat just before dropping my son off at Ontario Airport - just a couple miles away and open late on Sunday. If the ambiance was a little nicer its a 5-star. It's simple strip-mall box restaurant with religious writings scattered about. The servers were VERY nice and accommodating. The free chips and salsa were ok. chips were pretty crushed up and the salsa they brought was a watery tomato base BUT... when the food came we were told about 4 or 5 other homemade salsas - Salsa de arbol, a roasted tomatillo, and another chunky salsa and more - we asked for the tomatillo and the chunky one and they were really good. Wish they offered the homemade salsa up front - would have ignored the broken chip issue. My wife and I weren't too hungy so we decided to share a chile relleno dinner - and they offered to put it onto two plates for us - no split plate charge. One of the party ordered a burrito - it was large. Prices are ok - typical now for restaurants - not going to get a great deal. Took the family to Claim Jumper the other night and $200 later they said they would not go back. For the 4 of us it was around $60 and they would come back. read more

This is a fantastic unassuming Mexican restaurant near the Ontario airport. We were staying at a nearby hotel and drove over to the restaurant for take-away. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and very helpful with explaining some subtleties of the menu and customizing a few things for us. The food was ready quickly, and we took it back to the hotel. Everything was super tasty and very fresh with a great quality homemade feel to it all. Wifey had the Chigaderas, a smaller appetizer version of the chicken chimichangas. It came with a side of sour cream and fresh guacamole! Soooo good! I had the menudo. Very tender and not stinky like some places you go to. Lol. Perfect amount of tripe and hominy! Served with your choice of corn or flour tortillas and all the fixins!
