Wow, what a hidden gem! There are soo many options for Mexican food in the IE, but I'm so glad to have stumbled across this place! Was looking to satisfy a craving for loaded asada fries. My goodness, I swear their carne asada fries are the best I've ever had!!! Super crispy and well-seasoned fries (reminds me of popeyes fries) and tender asada (I'm very picky with asada because it always tends to be dry), topped with heaping amounts of refried beans, guac and sour cream. Huge chunks of lengua that were slightly charred and well-seasoned. The lengua was tender without falling apart, and soo flavorful. Surprisingly some of the best I've had, which is something I never expect from a sit-down Mexican restaurant (compared to taco stands in my experience). Salsa could be better. Meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa (you can request a spicier salsa if you like). Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the strawberry margarita. My parents still live in Ontario so I'm here often to visit. Coming here was a blast in the past and got to bring my wife. Place was as good as I remember! Best carne asada fries period. Today I came in and when I didn't see Sara I should've left but no, we stayed and regretted it. The order was wrong and no matter that they made it over it was no better. It's simple strip-mall box restaurant with religious writings scattered about. The servers were VERY nice and accommodating. The free chips and salsa were ok. chips were pretty crushed up and the salsa they brought was a watery tomato base BUT... when the food came we were told about 4 or 5 other homemade salsas - Salsa de arbol, a roasted tomatillo, and another chunky salsa and more - we asked for the tomatillo and the chunky one and they were really good. Wish they offered the homemade salsa up front - would have ignored the broken chip issue. My wife and I weren't too hungy so we decided to share a chile relleno dinner - and they offered to put it onto two plates for us - no split plate charge. One of the party ordered a burrito - it was large. Prices are ok - typical now for restaurants - not going to get a great deal. This is a fantastic unassuming Mexican restaurant near the Ontario airport. We were staying at a nearby hotel and drove over to the restaurant for take-away. The young woman at the counter was super friendly and very helpful with explaining some subtleties of the menu and customizing a few things for us. The food was ready quickly, and we took it back to the hotel. Everything was super tasty and very fresh with a great quality homemade feel to it all. It's so hard to find a Mexican spot with really good nachos, something simple yet delicious, but I've finally found the place. From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. A very friendly lady greeted me and took my order right away. I decided to go with Asada Fries and El Pastor Nachos to-go. The prices were great considering the taste and quality. The food came out quickly, and here's what I think about my order Asada Fries, typically, fries don't hold up well when you order them to-go, so I had low expectations for how they'd turn out. Surprisingly, the fries weren't stale and still had a nice crunch. I really appreciated that the restaurant separated the sour cream, guac, and sauce on the side, so the fries didn't get soggy. The fries were generously covered in cheese, and the asada was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. Al Pastor Nachos, just like the fries, the tortilla chips were perfectly coated in cheese and stayed crunchy by the time I got home. The al pastor was absolutely delicious, with a subtle sweetness and a nice kick of spice. These nachos were definitely my favorite by far. If I had to make one suggestion, I'd ask for onions and cilantro on the side next time to add to the nachos, but other than that, it was perfect! The kind people who work there greet you right away. It's very simple inside. Nothing too fancy. There are lots of Bible verses all around which is a nice thing to see this day and age. And my burrito was so sloppy. 2 bites into my burrito and it was falling apart. So messy I didn't even finish half of it, im fact I threw it away when I got back to work. It was my first time coming here, we parked right in front of the place, as soon as we walked in we assumed we go to the counter and order but no we actually got to sit down and they came to us which was pretty nice! They were many tables and some big enough for the entire family to sit together which is nice, they delivered tortilla chips with salsa to our table, including the menu books which had so many tasty things to choose from.
