My family and I visited Dogfish Taco Co on Tuesday, 25 June 2024. After looking at the menu, I knew I wanted two #5 tacos which are their fish tacos. The owner and one of the cooks came from out back and complimented the young man assisting us with our orders. It so happened the cook had a fish taco and was pleased with the jalapeño sauce. I told him to go ahead and put it on mine as well. Hands down, the BEST FISH TACOS I'VE EVER EATEN!!! The staff was great and everything was nice and clean. Terrible food. Just horrible. Please DO NOT order the chicken tortilla soup NOR the shrimp tacos. The WORST TACOS this chef has tried everywhere. I don't write many reviews. Three of us went to Dogfish Taco on a lark a couple of days ago. It was something different. Simply stated, it was over the top excellent. Fresh food. Prepared right in front of you. Casual environment. Generous portions. We loved it. Two of us ordered tacos, one of us had a bowl, and we ordered chips and guacamole. The food was delicious. There was a generous portion of guac for the bowl of chips. We sat outide under an umbrella and under their awning. It was shady with a light breeze. The food was delicious. It was casual and quick. Plenty of parking. These guys are making excellent food. Yes, they are in a 'B' location. They are NOT in the center of Chatham. That said, it is worth the short 5 minute ride from downtown. Dogfish Taco Co & Tequila Cantina is the SPOT. Perfect for grabbing a few tacos or bowls, a delicious margarita, and a good time. First off, the staff - They're awesome, highly accommodating and friendly. It feels like family in here. Now, the eats. The food is great for a quick delicious bite or a spot to hangout for a while. Everything on the tacos is insanely fresh. I tried the fish, steak, and carnitas tacos. We also got the guacamole and chips - the guac comes in a bowl made out of tortilla - how clever is that?! Next up, the drinks - my favorite part is they have a tequila passport. What is that you ask? They carry 40 different tequilas. So instead of trying to remember which tequila you got, you can get a little card, hang it on the wall in the cantina, and cross off the ones you've had. Brilliant! All of the margaritas are delicious and you have so many options to choose from. Can't handle tequila? Get a bucket of white claws or Sol beers. They also have wine, champagne, and some other hard liquors. Last but NOT least, the environment - I love that you can grab your food in the first building and then walk it over to the tequila cantina. The taco shop is extremely clean and well organized. The cantina has so much character from the wood communal tables, the bar signs, ceiling beams, and more. The character inside there feels like you're in Key West, literally. It also gave me a great idea to put lights inside your old tequila bottles for a fun decoration. Feel like sitting outside? Take a seat at the adorable outdoor area with several picnic tables. Wow!! DTC is a delicious taco shop with a great Mexican-inspired bar right next door at their Cantina. Their tacos are amazing and I'd recommend trying their suggested DTC tacos -- I tried one of each and each taco has a unique flavor, making it hard to choose a favorite! The portions were very generous too. On Sunday, there was a shrimp special and it was to die for! As for the cantina, the bar is awesome and has the coolest vibe.
