One of the better taco joints in the area... but I could have gone down to TJ by now... I've been waiting 45+ minutes for my order I know that they got slammed tonight but almost an hour for 4 tacos and 2 quesadillas... seems high traffic times need more prep... the staff I the kitchen were running around and took forever to dish out the orders... maybe I'll come back another day at another time... food was ok... maybe next time I'll dine in... if there is room... Outdoor seating is a must for this place... for the price and the wait it lost 2 stars for me... Today, Yelp brings us the Taco Lounge. Given the area it's in, we expected higher prices. And we found them. Yes, the Asada Burrito and Torta were good. My wife says the Torta was great! She usually measures by the Torta and fish taco. We each had a fish taco... meh. There's a run down mariscos truck that makes them deeelicious! And they're in $1.50. Here they're $2.49. Asada Torta and Burrito $7.49... ouch! Where am I, Chipotle?! The aquas frescas drinks $2.49 with $1.49 refill. Yikes again. It's a 16oz container. Potrero's is bigger for the same price. My partner ordered Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and I ordered an Asada burrito. Both with everything in it. The Chorizo burrito was good and surprised us there was fries inside instead of potato chunks. Overall I would rate this a 4.5/5 The Asada burrito was a little bit hard for me to eat due to a lot of really big tough pieces of meat and big fatty pieces. I really wanted to try to enjoy it, but I had to keep pulling the pieces of meat that was too hard for me to eat or took too long for me to chew out from my mouth. Overall I would rate it 3/5. If the meat was better I would rate it higher. The service was really fast and nice. Plexiglass at the register and there's hand sanitizer in the facility. This place adheres to COVID-19 safety precautions. We would come back to try their tacos and we would order the Chorizo burrito again, but not the Asada burrito unfortunately. read more

Before ordering I asked my cashier if the carne asada torta came with cheese ... she said yes . Perfect I ordered the carne asada torta to go and pepino water. Pepino water was delish !!!! Teachers getting ready for back to school, so we decided to make a taco lounge lunch break. We had a great experience. Great customer service. Plenty of seating and salsas to choose from. We noticed the fresh hand made corn tortillas being made as we ordered. The chef came out and spoke to us about Baja Lounge. Thanks for the great service and delicious food. Small taco place in the neighborhood. The new bus line has made parking difficult, but there is a lot behind the complex at Santa Venicia park. Counter staff is friendly and efficient. Food is delicious. I have enjoyed every item that I have tried on the menu, and we tried a lot. My only complaint is that they don't have veggies... I would love some grilled peppers and onions in my quesadilla or burrito. Space is small, but spotlessly clean. We love that it is within walking distance of home. read more

It's nice to have a taco shop that is right in the middle of the neighborhood that you can just walk out to in the middle of the suburbs. It is small and clean, staff is friendly. However, my only gripe is the small portions and small sizes for the drinks. Understandably, it does get pretty busy in the evenings so you might have to wait a bit, but never too long. read more

Wow! My first time here and I LOVE IT!! I've never heard of a portobello taco or burrito before. I just ordered the burrito and it's absolutely delicious!!! Portobello and Grilled onions, beans, guacamole! SOOO GOOD! And the salsas are Sooo good! Both the red AND the green are so good! My family and I been coming to this place for our mexican food cravings back since it just opened. We haven't visited it as much during the pandemic, but their quality has remained the same. We typically like to either order their California burrito and/or carne asada fries. I also find their tortas to be delicious! They add beans in it, which I think its unique from tortas of other places. While I like their tortas, my mom is not too fond about the beans in it. One of the things that stands out about this place is that they seem to be more generous about the meat portion. I just finished their carne asada fries and notice there were a lot of carne asada pieces till the last bite. Secondly, I absolutely love their salsas! The green one is a tomatillo-based salsa, the red one (which I mistakenly thought was very spicy) is their tomato-based salsa, and the brown-ish one kind of taste like tamarind or chamoy candy. Not sure how else to describe it, but that one is actually my favorite of the three salsas. Pre-pandemic times, you would be able to get the salsas from the salsa bar. Now that its to-go and delivery only, they include a good portion of each with your meal. I personally think its quite generous on the amount of salsa, but you can ask for more if its not enough. They also included a bag of sliced lime with my order. Always satisfied with their food, and adding the salsas just makes their food even better! read more
