To top it off, these guys offer a rewards program for trying new beer that allows you to earn t-shirts, bigger pours on most draft beers, and they'll even put your name on the wall! Terrible to go service. I've ordered online or called ahead and each time I arrived to pick up there's no one ever at the pick up counter. No one at the bar ever looks over to help. All they have to do is hand me my order. They are not even that busy. I waited 10 minutes tonight before ultimately going in and begging the host and a server to find the person working the to go area so I could leave with my order. Ate at the bar, they did a nice job with what I ordered. Bartender did memory order and while they usually goes bad for me, it was perfect! Service however, on the back end of the meal, was a little slow from the bartender who was facebooking with another customer while I was trying to pay and get out of there. The food is fantastic, but the service at this location is severely lacking. Several times I've had rude or inconsiderate waiters. I swear I'm not picky, either, I work in fast food so I'm very understanding...but walking past me and calling over shoulder, "Y'all are fine right?" is just totally unacceptable. And the check takes FOREVER to come, every single time I go, no matter how slow they are. I always ask for the check when I'm halfway through my food. Do not recommend lunch meals here. Mainly because they take their time in preparing your food to make sure it meets your expectations (which is fantastic if you arent on a time limit lunch). For a "Bar" they very rarely ever have specials on Well drinks. Just beer. Well drinks will run 5-9 bucks. Kinda expensive. Food like I said is always good they take pride in it. Service can be slow, depends on time of day but the staff is always pleasent amd if they are running short or slow they dont let it impact their attitude. They are genuine at all times. I've been to this Taco MAC a few times before and always had a good experience but I went today and I have never felt so irritated with a restaurant before. It took our waiter ages to take our order and when it was brought out he had given me the wrong side and when I said something to the woman who brought out our food she said she was right on it to get it fixed. However then the waiter comes back and was very rude about it all. When I finally got the item I ordered it was in a desert dish and half the size it has been every other time I have gotten it. At this point I was already irritated but then the waiter took 20 minutes to bring us out check after standing right behind our table the whole time and my boyfriend trying to signal him for the check. He was very rude and acted like serving us was a waste of his time. Won't be going to this location again. read more

Since I travel all of the time I have grown tired of all of the national chains. So, usually I ask locals or drive around until I find something that I haven't seen where I live. I was on the phone with a local contact in Atlanta when I drove by this Taco Macs. I asked him what he thought and said it is the best place he has ever been to, so I pulled in. Ok, for starters, it is a cool place to walk into and so my hopes were rising. I was not disappointed. The waitress was great and helpful with suggestions for dinner and the the food was excellent. The portion was huge and I could not eat it all and had I lived in the area, I would have asked for a to-go box. No when ever I am in the Atlanta area, I find one of these gems and enjoy a great meal! read more

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my food here when I came with a group of my friends. After work we wanted to relax and hang out so what better place then taco mac. There was approximately 10 of us including 2 kids and we ordered a mixture of things from cheese dip to beer and of course entree. I can only speak for the cheese dip and salsa, grilled chicken buffalo salad and the sweet potato fries. Y'all, everything was fantastic. Either I was super hungry or that salad really was the best salad I've ever had. It came with greens of course, grilled chicken marinated in buffalo sauce, tomatoes, onions, and I placed the blue cheese crumble on the side along with their buffalo ranch and balsamic dsg. I mixed these two together and it was perfect. The salad was just enough food and was very flavorful. I will most definitely be ordering it again, and attempting to make it at home. As for the cheese dip and salsa, the cheese was mediocre, the salsa was fresh and the chips were decent as well. Wasn't my favorite but it sufficed. Their sweet potato fries though were fried to perfection. So crunchy and yummy I could have eaten a whole bowl of it. Overall I was impressed with the food, the service not so much hence why I took off a star. The server was not very good on refilling drinks and even after I asked he forgot so I had to share drinks with my friends because my salad had a little kick and I needed fluids. The checks also took a while to be processed but overall, ill be back for the food and hopefully the service will be better. read more

Taco Macs has a great beer selection. I always have beer and wings, so I'm not too familiar with the rest of the menu. The wings are big and they taste pretty good. My favorite is the habanero bbq flavor. They're not too hot that you can't taste the wing; just hot enough to make you sweat a little. Service is always great. read more

Service was great. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak, which was delicious, BUT before I even took my first bite, I see a black hair poking out of the side of the first half. I know accidents happen, and I'm not a super germaphobe, so I pull it out and inspect the rest of that half--all good. I start eating the second half, and two bites in, I'm spitting it out due to another dark hair. SO disgusting. We told the waiter, he was very apologetic, the manager came over and was the same, said they would take my meal off the bill, and asked if they could make me another one. Umm, no! I think I'm done with this place. Service continues to be sub par for any business. Many times over, previous dine in orders could take excess of 45 minutes to serve to table. 2 weeks ago I was kept on hold for the 15 minutes that it took for me to drive to the Chastain location hoping to simply pick up food to take home after returning from being out of town. Tonight I called to place a to-go order to do the same, and was happy to have my order taken after only 1 minute on hold. After arriving to the Chastain location I sat at the bar to enjoy a beverage while I knew I would be waiting...and sat there while each bartender passed me multiple times over nearly 5 minutes without being greeted. Finally while one bartender was unloading a rack of clean glasses in front of me, she looks up at me feeling the uncomfortable stare and asked me "do you need something"? I reluctantly answered yes...but again, after returning from out of town, I just wanted some food. I told her that I had placed a to-go order and that I'd like a drink while I wait. Not surprised, she asked "what do you want?" Once I got home, I was surprised that I had gotten the wrong wings....at least the wrong sauce...and 4 out of 10 wings were broken. We used to eat at this location once a week, but now only when my brother comes to town. He loves their hottest wings and Hoegarten on draft. Two weeks ago we went to Taco Mac when he was in town, and Taco Mac no longer serves Hoegarten, and the wings were not good. Plus our server Isaac totally ignored our table for the most part . I didn't have high hopes for TacoMac but I was pleasantly surprised. When I walked in I was nearly knocked over by the stench of corporate, though, I actually think that was its saving grace. This place runs like a well oiled machine! It was a busy Saturday but we were seated quickly, greeted and served just as promptly. I ordered a burger and loved it! Perfectly cooked to order on a brioche bun w/ crispy fries. They have an impressive catalog of beers on tap and our server clearly knew her stuff. Jessica was a joy all round. I was in town for a couple days on business and TacoMac was the best meal of the trip. A strong four stars. read more

Worst service I've ever had at taco Mac. Our waitress came over was very friendly. Took our drink order, took about 20 mins to come back with our drinks. Takes our food order. Someone else brings out our food. Notice one of the salads didn't have any dressing. As we waited another 10 mins for our waitress who was busy talking to her friends a manager came over asking if everything looked okay. We asked for dressing she came quickly with it. Go here all the time with my neighbor. Used to like their brews until I stopped drinking. Love their roasted wings, also weirdly the wedge salad which goes great with wings!
