We were looking for some lunch and this place had raving reviews so we thought we would give it a try. The location is great, very central in the downtown area where we were walking trying to get to know the city. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which we opted to sit outside to take advantage of the sunshine. We got several different tacos and some cheese curds (when in Rome! Sort of). The food was a little underwhelming. We were expecting a lot more given the raving reviews we had referenced. For the quality they were pricey as well. The curds were good, it's hard to find bad curds. Overall this was fine. The location is perfect, especially after a fun night out on the town. The indoor and outdoor seating and proximity to other attractions is really the selling point

Walked over to Taco Mikes after an event at the Deer District and it was wonderful. Big menu with a lot of affordable options. Loved their chips & queso and tacos. Al pastor was delicious! Husband loved the elote bites! 100% would recommend and would go back.

We ordered Taco Mikes to our hotel on a Saturday night after a long day and wanting to relax in bed with wine, Ozark, and some tacos. Best decision for dinner that night, for sure. This order was delivered SO fast. Like maybe within 30 minutes or less. And everything came hot and fresh. The tacos were super tasty and flavorful. The barbacoa had a little heat which was a nice surprise. All the meat was well seasoned and the corn tortillas taste home made. The appetizers were delicious as well-- especially the cheese curds and fried pickles. Minus 1 star because the meat in the tacos was a little sparse and the al pastor didn't have the pineapple as listed on the menu--which is the best part of al pastor tacos in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again! Solid choice.

(From September 2021) Rolled in here on a taco Tuesday for lunch since you get your taco fix on Tuesdays. The sign outside plus the colorful menu on the screen enticed me to walk in here. Price wise, the 3 tacos plus a side for $12 is a solid deal. Also added a frozen mango margarita for the meal. The food matches the price as the tacos were average. They will fill you up but flavor wise it's missing some seasonings and substance. The Al pastor was probably my favorite one; the breakfast and carne asada were a let down due to texture and seasonings. The frozen margarita was tasty although it overflowed from the lid so it's gonna be messy when you drink it. While there's other spots to get your grub on, you do get quite a bit of eats with your dollar. Plus they're open late if you want that inebriated taco fix. They'll probably taste better at that point!

Mango Margarita - with a kick of heat.

As a vegetarian, I appreciate when restaurants have intentional options on their menu. Their vegan tacos include peppers, onion, corn, and cauliflower. Sprinkle on some cheese and boom, vegetarian tacos. I did the 3 tacos and 1 side deal with a container of their Diablo sauce - flavorful with some heat! I wouldn't say it was too much to handle. In my discussion with some of the staff about spicy options, they suggested I try their signature Mango Margarita which, I think the red sauce was a hot sauce of some sort. I remember it definitely had a kick to it. Prior to this visit, I had driven by several times, seeing a long line out the door a few times. Usually a good sign that there's something to check out. Glad I was able to stop by and try them out myself.

I have been walking past Taco Mike's for a few weeks now and finally got the chance to try it! We went in to check it out, but decided on carry-out. The ambiance was cool and there was a huge TV set up that would be great to watch a game. We took a second to figure out what we wanted and they were very patient with our indecisiveness. The service was awesome and the menu had tons of choices. One thing I did wish they had was the option for flour tortillas. I don't really care for corn tortillas and they can get a little soggy, so one of my tacos completely fell apart before I even got the chance to eat it. The tacos were good overall. We also tried the poblano poppers as as side and they were amazing (like I would make the trip specifically for an order of those). We also got chips and guac as a side which was decent. Taco Mike's is definitely a great option for a quick bite. We will definitely be back to try it with drinks next time!

Besides the amazing service from, Nick. My experience here was phenomenal! My first time at taco mikes and most certainly not my last ! Go check them out! The elote bites did not disappoint.

    10. Fried CHICKEN Birria- fried corn tortilla, jack cheese, cilantro and dipping sauce

Don't order Birria from here!...i hade the 3 birria taco meal and a chicken birria taco on the side!...It literally taste like the Beef meat was covered in "red hot" hot sauce which you can see on the meat!...The chicken was just dry and there is no birria flavor on any of them they said it comes with cilantro and jack cheese which is white and there wasn't either of the 2 on there!...the consume was not consume it couldn't have been what the meat was cooked in!...The ride was undercooked... The elote fried corn was not good...I don't recommend anything I had...Waste of money!...

The inside of the restaurant was super cool it was decorated. I went there for dining week and got…read morethe guacamole and queso appetizers, Argentinian Steak taco, Al Pastor taco, and Crispy Shrimp taco. It came with the Mexican Rice and Cowboy Beans and churros for dessert. I also got the Rudy's classic margarita. We didn't see the waitress too much but they might've been busy or maybe she was the only one on staff. She was super nice though and got all of our orders correct. When we asked to split the checks at the end, it was sort of odd that they divided everything evenly, including drinks and put 1/4 of each drink on each check. The guacamole was nice and fresh and came with little tortilla strips on top which I took off to dip the tortilla chips in. The queso was nice, salty, and well seasoned. The Margarita was delicious, well blended, just strong enough and a nice size. As far as tacos, The Argentinian steak taco was definitely my favorite. The meat was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned. The El Pastor was also very flavorful and the avo vinaigrette that came on it paired well with the dish. The shrimp on the crispy shrimp taco were big and flavorful, just a little on the dry side. The rice and beans were pretty standard, nothing super special or memorable. The churros came out warm, nice crunch on the outside and soft in the middle. The white dipping sauce reminded me of cereal and the darker one was a chocolate with almost a mole sauce type taste. Super fun place and I would definitely come back!

First time at Vagabond, went Thursday evening pre-theatre with a group of 9…read more The vibe is street taco patio meets airstream, with menus featuring photos of Jimi Hendrix and Taylor Swift. They specialize in elevated street tacos and small plates. Tuesdays have $2 tacos and Thursdays have $3 tacos, and the kitchen stays open later than most, midnight Tuesday through Thursday and 1:30am Friday and Saturday. They had space for our group, but could only split the bill two ways, and gratuity was automatically added for groups of 6 or more. I was the first to arrive and was asked to wait at the bar since they couldn't seat us until everyone in the party was there. I ordered the Hibiscus Lime Margarita. It was refreshing, and I would order it again. Our table had multiple baskets of chips and salsa, and I added a bowl of queso fundido (chihuahua cheese, pepper jack cheese, corn salsa, paprika, and cilantro). My end of the table went through it quickly. For my meal I had two tacos, the Gringo Pollo (part of the Thursday special) and the Tuna Poke. Both came with items removed at my request and were tasty. Service was quick, and Oliver was friendly. Prices are reasonable, though a bit higher than I'd prefer. This would be an occasional fun spot for me, not my go-to taco place.
