This was my taco salad. Would not recommend. $15 for this.

I paid $15 for lettuce and tomatoes. Had no idea there wouldn't be any beans or rice in it. Would not recommend portions were very small.

Clean food, excellent service, nice salsa bar. I'm glad I finally gave this spot a try! One of the better burritos I've had on the West Side.

Came here on Friday after dinner time, grabbed a half pound double cheeseburger. The restaurant itself is pretty small with maybe 10 seats in the whole place, it's obvious that it's mostly meant to be a grab and go takeout kind of place. The place isn't super clean and modern, but it isn't dirty either, kind of what you can expect from a hole in the wall. You can see the kitchen directly and watch them cooking, and everything is straight from the grill. Well, for tacos and burritos a lot of the ingredients are pre cooked and sitting on the warmer, but the burgers are right from the grill. My burger was just awesome. Good bun, crispy, well cooked patties, nicely melted cheese, packed with veggies, rich spread, and overall a good portion of food. For $7, if rather eat here than a fast food burger any day, it's like $1 more but like $10 better in taste.

This hole in the wall is must go for local tacos in the west side. I ordered the al pastor tacos and they do not skimp on the meat. They had the tacos prepared quickly. Don't forget to ask for their delicious spicy sauce. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. They play beautiful Mexican music through the speakers. And the place is kept really clean. The restaurant takes Apple Pay.

Breakfast burrito with sausage. Add avocado. Obvs. Sat and waited a few mins. Loaded up on salsa. Order up. Off we pop. Free mini bag of chips. Excellent. Cheap and cheerful and hit the spot. Little strip mall, some parking available.

I went to this location once, and the one in Culver City is waaaay better. This location is tiny, cramped, and the food is in a buffet type thing or like Chipotle and they just reheat. The one in Culver City cooks your food fresh on the grill and is much bigger and has a lot more parking.

Some of the best Mexican food in Los Angeles! Horrible parking (beware of 7-11 employees), and very little seating.

This is my 8th LA smash burger and it's definitely a top three contender! The ratios were on point. The lemon pepper fries were killer. The bulgogi fries were strangely good for no one appearing to be Korean who worked there. Big fresh jalapeños on top with the perfect amount of sauce. GREAT home made pickles on the burger to offset the rich patty and cheese. The service was TOP tier. Took a little longer than most, but tasted better than most! So pick your poison! Great outdoor seating in a bar next door with its own brewery. They have a deal going so you can use that place. Sat in a cool outdoor patio area with fake grass and a nice fence. Nice shade. Cool Glendale vibes.

Parking: Street parking was super easy on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to pull up right in front and park on the street. There is a Super A across the street and ample parking around for free. Ambiance & Food: This reminds me of an old school burger stand. Those were the best burgers and this one did not stop that trend. As I walked up, we were warmly greeted and given a quick rundown of what which burger. They did have specials (I will get to that in a second) which we were intrigued, but for the sake of perspective, I ordered the Goldburger and both regular fries and curly fries with a bottle coke. The Goldburger is naturally a double, but my gymrat protein brain added that extra patty. They use a 70% to 30% mixture for their burger which makes the burger oh so decadent. The picture I took doesn't do it justice. The moment you bite into the burger the combination of burger juice, aioli, burnt skirt, all come together in such a harmonious fashion. It was remarkable. Though fries are not one of my strong points, both fries were crispy and I haven't had any other experience with Curly fries other than Jack in the Box, but these were so much better. I went ahead and dipped the fries in some homemade Aioli and dang, what a combo! Back to those specials, the current special is CHILI, I was intrigued so they gave me a small container of it to try. Man, if I wasn't watching my caloric intake, that would have been the move. It was rich and chunky and not to soggy which some always comes. Give it a try as they said it will be around for sometime. Other than burgers, they do have hot dogs as well. So worth trying both next time. To be perfectly honest, this brought back so much nostalgia for me, I used to go to school in the area and this brought a lot of those memories back. Tasty burgers and a must try for sure if your around! Cheers!

The lady at the window was super nice! We decided to eat in the hallway adjacent to the kitchen, it was a nice warm night and the hall has a bunch of cool plants hanging Let's get into it!! I ordered the signature Goldburger and decided to add pastrami! Look at that! It's sliced thin and comes across kind of like a mound of bacon, melts in your mouth along with the rest of the burger. Very interesting combination it comes highly recommended! We went with curly fries cuz we are from the Midwest and there are no Arby's out here lol but I opted to grab a side of their classic sauce, which ROCKS! It was so good I was pouring it on the last few bites of my burger. Do yourself a favor and get some classic sauce and pour that stuff right on your burger, you won't be disappointed! Check it out!!

Ordered the amboy DH, along with some cheese fries. Took about 15 minutes to come out. It was very rich and delicious. I'm glad the bun holds well with the sauce and melted cheese. We're not far from the Chinatown location, but too far to walk/eat/walk back in time, so we ordered up DoorDash and it would still be relatively fresh by the time I got there. They are right across from my all-time favorite, Howlin' Ray's, so I know exactly where they're at, but I will have to get down there eventually and check out the ambience of the location and the service quality of the staff. Since it was my first time, I decided to go with the basic Amboy burger, so I could taste the base foundation; and even though I didn't think the fries would travel very well, I decided to get a small order of those, along with a chili dog so I could get a good base level sampling of the menu. Overall, with all the hype recently, I thought it was good, but not what I was expecting from the hype. I'll Order again though and try some more of the menu The portion sizes were good and very filling. The fries really need to be fried crispier because they were pretty flaccid and lifeless when they arrived. The bun was firmer than I anticipated it would be; fresh but somewhat dry. Maybe one of the burgers with the juicy or toppings would help. The hotdog was large and stuck at each end of the bun, probably 3 inches, the chili I liked better than Tommy burgers and overall it was a decent hot dog, but I would love to try fresh at the store one day. One of my Filipino coworkers loved his meal, and the other was just 'eh', but overall we enjoyed it and we would eat it again.

Their hot dog is the platonic ideal of what a hot dog should be. The old bay seasoning on their crispy tots is a stroke of genius. The food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the burgers live up to the hype. What makes it even better is that you're not just getting a great meal; you're experiencing a piece of Los Angeles history. Places like this are becoming rare, and Hawkins House of Burgers has earned its legendary status. If you're a local and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. And if you're visiting Los Angeles, put this place on your list.

If you are wanting a better tasting burger with pretty much thr same ingredients, I would suggest The Shack in Playa Del Rey. The fries here got soggy because of how they put them in the bag. It's unfortunate that there is no where to sit and that's why the fries get soggy. Let's now talk about the process. They accidentally messed my order by missing fries. Not the end of the world but in order for them to correct their mistake, I had to take all the food they put in the bag and give it back to them. That means while I waited over 25 minutes for my order, I had to wait longer for them to see what's in the bag to see the mistake. Who is to say that if I was crooked, I would simply remove the fries from the bag. What this ultimately means is that now my family is eating colder food. I didn't even bother for the fries anymore since I didn't want to either have my food get colder or wait another 20 minutes for them to remake all the food. I simply wouldn't go back. I do hope they stay around because we are losing small business but the owners should really reconsider the policy for missing food.
