It's Taco Tuesday! Where to go, how 'bout taco experts, I mean Taco Pros Reasonably priced, tasty, and pretty fast. They have tacos, tortas, bowls, quesadillas, etc. There was a TT special too!

I ordered 3 taco dinner combo for take out. The tacos came with rice and beans as default but have the options to make switches with fries and add horchata for additional fee. I also substituted for flour tortillas as personal choice. The meat was good, and rice and beans were enjoyable. I would say they are not the most authentic tacos you will get in this area, a bit more Americanized taste pallet but still enjoyable. Definitely give them a try.

They had grand opening two days ago and they are having promotion! Promotion or not- I really liked their tacos. I had steak, barbacoa, and ground beef tacos and nachos. Guacamole was fresh and tasty and meat was not soggy nor dry, not overly seasoned, they were just perfect. I am gonna try enchilada next time:)!

Tacos are very good but they are pricey. Honestly nothing really stood out except that they have Taco Tuesdays which is 2 for $5.

This place is a great addition to the area! The food is reasonably priced, and the portions are good. The barbacoa is really flavorful, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. And the service was great - everyone was super friendly. Alex was the one who rang us up and brought our food out, and she was fantastic. She helped us make up our minds and gave some good recommendations (I'm very indecisive). It's always nice when the staff goes that extra step to help out! My husband and I look forward to coming back soon!

Nice place. Looks brand new. Clean. Open. Now on to the food. It's an authentic taco place so do not expect tacos with creative combinations like, lets say, Taco Mayo. But authentic tacos are great. Taco Tuesday includes 2 tacos for $5. Pretty good price and they don't get cheap on the meat. Al Pastor taco was delicious. Barbacoa taco (which is said to be the house special) also great. Chicken taco was a little bit lacking seasoning and flavor. In hindsight I should have gotten that one American style (lettuce tomatoes, sour cream). Carne asada taco was better than the chicken but not as good as the first two. Maybe it was law or diminishing returns. Their red sauce is nice, not too spicy. I preferred the green sauce because I liked the tangyness. They give you tortilla chips and salsa with your order. The salsa was watery and made it difficult to get on the chip. Would be better if it was chunkier. Great place for the value. I can see myself coming back here if I want a taco on Tuesday to take advantage of the price and only getting al Pastor and barbacoa. Maybe trying their burrito when it's not taco Tuesday if I am in the area.

We shared waffle sticks -- one loaded with Kinder Bueno and the other drenched in Nutella -- both absolutely dripping in chocolatey goodness. We wished we had the stomach to try more from their menu, but honestly, this duo hit the spot and then some. The perfect way to wrap up the night, it was sweet, rich, and totally worth every bite.

And ever since I don't work downtown anymore, I needed to search the northwest burbs for the best chocolate cake. There was always this franchise (Portillo's) that served their famous chocolate cakes by the slice. It was moist and really good. And they remained the best one for such a long time since I really couldn't find any worthy competitors around the northwest burbs, until I saw this tiny shop along Waukegan road-Ganache Bakery. I had to go inside and see what they havd to offer. The word Ganache alone was enough for me to seek em out. Lo and behold, they had Chocolate Cake with ganache icing inside! It was soft and moist and melted in your mouth! I was in heaven! Finally, a place I knew would supply me with the best chocolate cake worthy of any grand celebration. Unfortunately, after the third and fourth purchase, I noticed that it didn't taste the same as the first time we had it. It wasn't as light as the initial experience. It was actually a bit heavier, more dense. It was still moist but, it just wasn't the same anymore. Oh well, the search is back on.

The first was for a St. Patrick's Day party, where I had ordered a tray with 2 pounds of cookies. When I arrived, I noticed that the tray didn't have St. Patrick's Day cookies, just regular cookies. The owner was the one waiting on me, and when I mentioned this to him he apologized immediately, said there must've been a miscommunication, and asked me if I could wait five or 10 minutes and they'd make a brand new tray for me. It probably would've been okay if I took the original tray, but I knew our group really wanted St. Patrick's Day themed desserts for this party of about 40 people. So I said sure I could wait, and the tray they put together was absolutely beautiful. Besides the cookies, it also included some little plastic St. Patrick's Day themed rings and other decorations. Fast forward to last week, when I was tasked with bringing the dessert for a monthly board meeting. I called and again spoke with the owner, and explained what I needed. I thought it would be fun to bring some holiday-themed items, and I had seen a picture of their Yule logs on their website, so I inquired about those. We chatted about it, he asked me the type of cake and filling, I also ordered a 1 pound box of cookies and a gluten-free cupcake for one of our members, and I picked them up before the meeting two days later. Everything was absolutely perfect. Their Yule logs are beautiful - mine looked exactly like the picture on their website - and again there were little rings and other decorations on it. One of the other board members was so impressed with it that she immediately said she was ordering her own for the holidays and took several pictures of it, and everyone asked me what bakery I used. Oh, and the cookies and cupcake were great, too! I have a feeling they'll be getting some more business from our group from this for sure, as they should!

I had no idea by looking at the descriptions and from reading the Yelp reviews it looked like you couldn't really go wrong with any of them. I suggested to my son we do a taste test and he was game. We ordered 6 churros, which was all their flavors with the exception of the hazelnut since he has a nut allergy. As for dips we chose the dulce de leche and mexican chocolate ganache. Within the hour they were delivered in a pizza box and smelled so good. Unfortunately, the squirrels smelled them too and ate thru the box within the few minutes it took me to get to the door. While they only got thru some of the box I didn't want to take the chance of rabies so had to order again! This time I was waiting for the grubhub delivery driver (ordered directly thru Yelp) when he arrived. No churros for the squirrels, although there was plenty to go around because they are huge and gorgeous! They all kind of tasted the same to me- and all good! The Berry White (covered with fruity pebbles) was probably the most unique of all the flavors, but for some reason the rest of the fam didn't like it as much. Perhaps too sweet. which I personally never mind. We had the tough job of narrowing it down to 3 flavors so after a lot of taste tasting (and very full bellies) decided on The Jane, The Mau and The Aunt Rose. Both dips were good as well, but between the two we preferred the dulce de leche. My son hasn't been too into the party planning details, but dessert is something he gets excited about so he loved this activity and can't wait to have yummy churros at his party. And I bet they taste even better when they are nice and warm, which may be a reason to eat them at the parlor than get delivered in the future. And if i do make it to the parlor i have my eye on one of their churro ice cream sandwiches that look so delicious!
