VEGAN EATERS HERE....Just LOVE this little place, tucked away in a discrete little shopping center in the middle of Solvang. It's super clean and organized, the proprietors are so kind and attentive, typically visiting every table to check on you, clearly proud of what they do and what they offer which, is fast, fresh, totally delicious and Mexican food. The diverse clientele tells the story, a mix of SYV locals, nurses from the nearby hospital, vineyard folk and all the rest. People EAT here, big plates of food, served quickly with an array of housemade salsas and toppings that is never less than fully stocked and fresh! TACO TUESDAY is probably our favorite day and we don't often miss a chance to take out of town guests and friends who are always glad they came along. Prices will surprise you too, there really ARE $1.25 tacos here on Tuesday and plenty reasonable on other days. Being vegan, the crispy potato tacos are absolutely amazing. Fresh from the fryer, loaded with greens and the aforementioned spread of toppings a few steps away. We also snag their super fresh guacamole and chips, no filler added here. Plenty of drink choices and, if you are an omnivore, you are well cared for. So grateful for this little place.

Have been going to this place for years. Went today for a little combo plate action, and as I got my food and sat down with a steamy plate of cuisine, I scooped some salsa with a chip and guess what little surprise I found. A bug, which resembled a small cockroach, was floatin around in there. I don't know if it fell in there and drowned, or if it just didn't get blended up when they made the salsa since they told me they actually use them for an added kick. When I asked them about it, they simply handed me a new cup for salsa. Ought to be shut down, what a disaster. Never forget

I go there for the chili Colorado which they usually have only on Wednesday. It's really delicious! Kind of like Mexican Bolognese.

VERY basic Mexican cuisine. The guacamole is mostly tomatoes. The beans are not house made...probably canned. Sad.

Worst Nachos I've had in 2021. Consisting of mostly refried beans and soupy quac, they simply have little no flavor and are uninspiring.

The shell of the taco was so crisp yet light. Good Magaritas too! My husband's Carnitas burrito was so flavorful. The servers were very nice and very attentive. The inside of the restaurant had tasteful decor. Leather and bent wood chairs, lofty ceiling with open beams. Attractive paintings and porcelain pieces hung on the walls. Very Mediterranean ambiance. As vegetarians, my family usually struggles to find decent offerings at Mexican restaurants,…read moreusually settling for bland bean-and-rice burritos, cheese enchiladas that clearly were made haphazardly (if not out-right cooked from the freezer), or calorie-bombed nachos. This is not the case at Dos Carlitos in Santa Ines! Yes, my kids split the order of nachos, but the ratio of black beans, tomatoes, and guacamole to cheese made this mother happy. The vegetable tostada was loaded with grilled vegetables and the freshly-made tortillas were incredible! Finally, the cheese enchiladas (we're creatures of habit) were freshly cooked, with more of those in-house tortillas, and they were, according to my husband, some of the most delicious that he's had in a long time. Service was courteous and prompt, and we were greeted by the host in a very pleasant manner. I have to give a shout-out to our busboy, who was fantastic, ready with water or chip refills before we even thought to ask (whatever his name was, he was working Thursday, July 23 at noon). In short, Dos Carlitos is a first-rate Mexican restaurant! We love how it is not loud or overfilled with patrons. One might balk at some of the high prices, but in general I have to say it was overall worth it!

It was a generous serving and tasted so light & fresh. I enjoyed the delicious lasagna while my friend raved about her short rib ravioli. When we arrived, several tables were occupied but when we left at 7:15 pm, the patio was full. Although our waitress was the only one serving due to a staff shortage, she remained friendly yet efficient while providing us with a relaxing dining experience. I look forward to returning with my husband & enjoying another delicious meal on Toscana's patio.

Celebrating our nation's 250th birthday in beautiful Solvang!…read more We ate at Craft House four times during our visit--and for good reason! It is, in our opinion, the best restaurant in Solvang. Every meal was exceptional, and the service was consistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in, Daniel welcomed us with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. At our first breakfast, Taylor provided friendly, attentive service that set the tone for the rest of our visits. That evening, we enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, beet & burrata salad, short rib grilled cheese and black tie burger. Every dish was absolutely delicious. On our second breakfast visit, Sandra took wonderful care of us. She is such an asset to Craft House--knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Sophia, who brought out our food several times, always greeted us with the biggest smile. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Lorenzo and Nora were also fantastic servers who helped make every visit memorable. Over four visits, we sampled several different entrées and breakfasts. The avocado toast and chorizo quesadilla were definite standouts, and every meal exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Craft House team for your incredible hospitality, exceptional service, and outstanding food. We can't wait to return!

After looking through photos and reviews, I decided to give Burrito Lalo a try. It was only about 1.4 miles away, right off McMurray. I ordered the menudo to-go and decided to go without "pata" (pig's feet), along with a bottled Coke. My order was ready in about 5 minutes, which was impressive. The young lady who helped me was friendly and packed everything nicely in a cardboard box, including all the fixings and a bag of chips. I have to admit, the menudo was very good! The broth tasted clean, flavorful, and delicious. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I would have preferred a little more hominy to balance everything out. There were also plenty of large chunks of tripe. Depending on how you like your menudo, that could be a positive or negative. Personally, I prefer my tripe cut into smaller pieces. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Burrito Lalo to anyone looking for a good bowl of menudo in Buellton. My only advice is to make sure you tell them exactly how you like your menudo, especially the size and amount of tripe and hominy. That part was my mistake for not asking. Either way, the menudo was delicious, and I would definitely give Burrito Lalo another try the next time I'm in the area!
