Last Sunday after we were done with the Italian festival we decided to try Taco Shack in Jupiter! We were given lunch menus when it was dinner. 30 minutes no one came to take our order. Everyone was eating and drinking but us! At this point we were starving and thirsty! We called the other waiter attending his tables. Another waiter came out and we ordered he then he said that's the lunch menu! He asked what we wanted fish tacos 20 minutes later no chips or salsa. Almost one hour everyone was coming after us and leaving in no time. Chips and salsa was a tiny bowl tons of chips and they charged for that. Let me pile on here with my very similar experience. Sat at the almost empty bar with my party of three to a dirty bar top and a slightly friendly but mostly fubar'd bartender. Drink menu was a bit weak, so ordered a basic margarita which was poured out of a pre-mixed jug. Nothing special. Decided against ordering food when I saw the staff and we "one and done'd" it outta there. It's a shame because it has potential to be really good, just needs some management and a better staff. This location is cursed - will we ever get anything here that'll last more than a year? Sure hope so. read more

Stumbled upon this hidden gem exploring the area while on vacation recently. Fast, friendly, cleanly service. Reasonable prices. For example, it was only $3.00 for a pint size draft Corona! Been twice. Both times the staff was extremely friendly. Just went for a late lunch/early dinner. My husband had a rice bowl and loved it. I had street tacos which were great. We are happy to have them in Abacoa. ! read more

It's such a nice piece of real estate but.... The food just isn't very good. Good service though.

Server mixed up our orders and seemed to blame it on us he told us to move my husband"s tacos to my plate and mine to his and that's cross contamination coz I'm celiac can't have gluten. after all these mixed up food didn't taste good at all.not worth the price I paid for 3 people and not worth the aggravation .never again. read more

Very nice restaurant. We just had dinner there, great ambiance. Food was excellent, with some pretty delicious (and unique) options. The service was great as well and the prices were VERY reasonable. Their Ceviche is amazing! Truthfully, I always get and love their fried avocados, but I needed to bring an appetizer to a Christmas Eve event and I was worried reheating the fried avocados would be an issue so I ordered the ceviche. Everyone raved about how wonderful it was, and these are seriously high class foodies. I'm honest to a fault so ended up being a good marketer for Taco Shack at this party, lol. I wouldn't waste your time. The menu looks good. But upon ordering 4 different tacos and the three amigos and pineapple- I would not recommend. The chicken mojo tacos tasted like cafeteria food- cold precooked chicken. The carne asada had a soap like taste. The chunky pork was the best but it's because it was sweet. The chips need salt and less seasoning. The guac was ok- just very plain yet fresh. And the pineapple tasted like chemicals. (Tip- make grilled pineapple instead) I was hoping it was good as were local and need some good food in Jupiter (it's so hard to find!) we threw most of the food away and it kills us to waste food but it literally left the worst taste in our mouths. read more

The atmosphere was nice. However the service was slow and unresponsive. Also, the food was bland and mediocre. I would not recommend.

I completely agree with Karen Q's review. We sat down at a fairly empty bar (5 other people total in 2 groups) and it took the bartender about ten minutes to notice we were there. When she did, she put menus down in front of us, didn't make eye contact or address us, but kept going with her conversation across the bar before walking back to them after dropping menus. After another ten minutes, a different server, not the bartender, came over to help us with our drink order. She was lovely, super sweet and attentive. We were left alone after that to wait forever to order our food. I started chatting with the lady next to me who said that the food was good, but her order was wrong. Sure enough, mine came out wrong as well. The inside of the taco was good, but I couldn't eat the shell because I asked for lettuce wraps and got tortillas. $1 beers were good, food had potential if it had come out right, but the bartender is definitely on something, and it's not this planet. Definitely not going back with all the good taco places around this area. read more

Worst food I've ever had. Cold tacos, cold queso. Everything was crap. Even the flavor was subpar even if it came out hot I don't think it would've been great. We went when it wasn't packed either so we should've at least got warm food. Wayyy too overpriced for such horrible quality food. Go to Calaveras Cantina or Papiculos if you want Mexican, if you want something in the area go literally anywhere else. read more

This is exactly what Abacoa needed. Casual and relaxed, great taco selection and good drinks. They're not trying to be fancy but it's great for a quick meal when you're hanging out downtown. The previous taco place really missed the mark but hopefully this one sticks around. Service was fantastic- this will be a regular spot in my Abacoa rotation. read more

Our rehearsal dinner had to cancel Wednesday morning due to mandatory evacuations from the storm (TS Nicole). After securing a space in our hotel for the dinner, we walked door to door in Abacoa looking for a restaurant that was open and could cater our event last minute. Taco Shack delivered, literally! Within hours, they had a feast for 30 prepared of amazing gourmet tacos, ceviche, numerous side dishes, and pitchers of margaritas. They even delivered it to our hotel. The staff and managing partner were so helpful, and even accommodated food allergies. The food was amazing, drinks were tasty, and they saved the night.
