    Kids ice cream

This is a unique dessert experience. My family and I came on a late Saturday evening to grab desserts. Mind you this is a food truck, located in a food truck park. It is not a physical building. The location is sooo cute. Come here for a date night. You can get hot food at the other food trucks then get ice cream tacos here. There are seating areas all ovover the park so large or small family sizes can feel comfortable here. The ice cream tacos are DELICIOUS! The cone itself is a waffle cone shaped into a taco and you can get whatever ice creams you want or get the signature flavors. They are about $8 for a regular size and $5 for the kids sizes. It's worth it though because the waffle taco shell is so crispy and the ice cream is Blue Bell! You cant go wrong with that cookie dough ice cream that had so many chunks of cookie dough in it. Yummy! My cousin and I shared the regular sized taco and it was perfect for us and her husband ordered the kids size with strawberry and mint chocolate chip and he ate all of it. It was an experience and I highly recommend anyone to stop here and try their ice cream tacos!

I went with the mall location and I liked it. The idea is cool: it's a waffle shell with ice cream and extras - looks like a taco, tastes like Bluebell. Hey, people love their bluebell ice cream in Texas! There are plenty of options for tacos, I liked the peanut butter one, it was good. You can also order a custom made sweet taco, kinda feels almost like one of the frozen yogurt places. The only downside of this place for me is the hours, it's closed on some days, and the rest of the week - it works some hours. You really gotta check out the schedule before heading out there!

Fancy way to dress up Blue Bell. The taco cone shell was over cooked and slightly burnt. The marshmallows were stale. $8 for a taco. I had Choco Taco vibes in my head before going and my vibe after was meh. I won't be returning.

I've been meaning to try this place forever! When I saw it was in the same food truck park as Jewboy burgers, I thought well perfect, there's dessert. All of the combinations on the menu were great, I didn't feel the need to create my own. I got the Cookie Monster which had cookies & cream ice cream, cinnamon toast crunch, and other cookies. I was surprised that I could actually eat it as a taco and it didn't just fall apart! I was also surprised I ate the whole thing lol

For cheat days I make it WORTH IT and I come here. Honestly.. you're going to keep wanting more and more that's how delicious these tacos are. It's not too sweet.. it's JUST RIGHT. I don't even know how to explain it but it's just soooooo good. The customer service is awesome and when I told him this was my first time EVEN HE KNEW what I was in for !! Go! It's a sweet tooth galore !

It's a waffle-cone, shaped like a taco-shell, filled w/ ice-cream, and w/ your choice of toppings. (And yeah, wine is fermented grape-juice) Seriously tho', the point is the toppings, which range from the obvious (nutella!) to the strange (cheetos), and the excellent (nutella!), and the usual assortment of m&ms/whatever Anyhow, not a bad place to satisfy your ice-cream craving, especially if you're already there at The Big Kahuna or some such... Note that the freshly made shell can take a while, so be patient :-)

I don't even understand how the rating isn't a solid five stars here. Blue bell ice cream is used so you already know it's going down on the tacos. I got the breakfast taco and my best friend got the bugs in the mud one (might not be the exact name). I usually don't have a big sweet tooth but all the flavors combined really are something to die for. ALSO-Amazing customer service. We even got to meet the owner! He was an absolutely fantastic human by the way if you need any other reason to support this place. I 10/10 suggest trying this place out.

Come hungry because these ice cream tacos are huge - $8 for 3 scoops of ice cream in a taco shell and UNLIMITED toppings. They have pre-set menu items or you can create your own. I recommend the latter so you can add more toppings. One thing I wished they had was more relatively healthy topping options, though, like granola, almonds, or yogurt chips so that I wouldn't feel as bad ordering from here. It would also be nice to have more variety of toppings that are not just sweet, like regular peanuts, so that the entire dessert is not so sugary. This is definitely a once-in-a-while treat as it was huge and a sugar crash will most certainly ensue.

Came here on a Saturday night with some friends and family, and we ordered three ice cream tacos plus one cup of ice cream. I had the breakfast taco which is a waffle cone shell filled with vanilla Blue Bell and topped with several kinds of breakfast cereal. So, so delicious! Our group also tried the mint taco and the s'mores taco - everyone loved their food! Plenty of seating - only complaint is a lack of parking.

I was craving a new dessert spot in Austin and went to check out Taco Sweets food truck. The taco was tasty but messy, not one to eat to go. : ) I went for the kids taco because it is smaller and two scoops of ice cream. If you have a big appetite, get the regular which is three scoops.

    Thomas T.

This was a very cool experience being around all those food trucks. To top it off, I got to partake in my fist ice cream taco. It was very tasty but you must eat it fast cause it will melt and get messy. Overall, cool experience.

Saw this place on Instagram and thought "Wow! Now that's a taco." The place was delicious and the owners were super nice. If you're looking for your next favorite taco desert spot, then look no further. You're in for a delicious treat!

If you know what a Choco-Taco is, this is basically the gourmet version. And you get to choose what you want on it!

The three of us each grabbed three flavors (F, E, D--haha, funny, right?) and rated each one with sugary zeal. Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint (F, E) - delicious, subtly minty, with a very creamy, mild beet flavor. I never had such a refreshing ice cream that wasn't sorbet. The mint really made a difference. I'm a huge fan of places that curate exotic flavors (a vegetable, really?) into their menu, which only increased my opinion of this place. Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean (E) - one of the smoothest vanilla bean ice creams I've had. It reminds me of a traditional ice milk soft serve. It wasn't the most impressive vanilla ice cream I've ever had, but it was still very good in its own right. Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt (E, D) - such a great balance to the sweetness of the rest of the ice cream options. I always love little chunks of salt in sweets to cut through the sugary intensity, so this one was an instant favorite. GOAT Cheese, Thyme, and Honey (E, D) - a complete 100% hit. Probably my top, alongside the beets. My BFF said it tasted too much like a meal rather than a dessert and couldn't give it a high rating, but as a charcuterie fan, I know there are plenty of "dessert" cheeses. I mean... cream cheese, for example? But is that really a cheese...? Uhhh. Very Strawberry (F) - a clean strawberry flavor. A bit artificial, but still so great. It far outweighed the Sweet Cream w. Strawberry flavor we tasted later. Cookies & Cream (F) - I never liked cookies & cream before, but this changed my mind. It hits so hard when you get a full spoonful. Probably the only cookies & cream I would eat. My BFF's #1. Chocolate Chocolate (F) - love chocolate? Get this. That's all you need to know. Coffee & Cream (D) - oooh, reminds me of the keto coffee ice cream I had once. Would get again. Coffee notes are always great in ice cream. Was this a STRONG standout? No. But did it do its job? Yes. Sweet Cream w. Strawberry (D) - too creamy for me, not enough strawberry. My top flavors by far are: 1) Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint, 2) GOAT Cheese, Thyme, and Honey, and 3) Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil & Sea Salt. All three were unique flavors that I would absolutely get again. We sat on the little barstools watching the line get progressively longer as the night went on. It was really interesting to see how many people came in for a sweet treat at 11 PM. The atmosphere was pleasant, parking was pretty easy, and while it never got too crowded, the place was surprisingly popular.

Quite busy at 8:15PM on a Sunday! About ten people ahead of us and only two people working so it took about 10-15mins with people asking for samples and such. While we were there, it was always a packed line so it definitely gets really busy from 8-9PM! We got three larges for a total of twelve flavors, a little bit of overlap: Mine: Dark Chocolate Olive Oil and Sea Salt - Really liked this, the bitter saltiness offset the creaminess really well. Coffee with Cream - A very light but roasty coffee, like a light coffee. I liked this!; Goat Cheese, Thyme and Honey - The herbal flavor is more subtle than I expected! Not too sweet, liked this one Sweet Cream & Strawberry - this one didn't stand out much to me Others: Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint - I really liked this one! The beets and mint hit on the back of your tongue, yum Chocolate Chocolate - Very intense chocolate, not too crazy about it though Cookies & Cream - Surprisingly good! I liked this one Very Strawberry - way more strawberry than the sweet cream. I'd recommend this over the sweet cream and strawberry Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean - Pretty light, a classic. Thought it was okay. If I had a tier list it would be: 1) Coffee with Cream 2) Goat Cheese 3) Dark Chocolate Olive Oil 4) Roasted Beets and Mint 5) Cookies & Cream 6) Very Strawberry 7) Vanilla Bean 8) Chocolate Chocolate 9) Sweet Cream & Strawberry Overall, a few hits, a few misses, but it was a fun tasting experience. We paid via inKind with no issues, which made it a pretty solid value.

I would NOT eat Amy's under any circumstances. To be clear, I've only been once. Ambience leaves much to be desired, but the ice cream which is the main event does not even taste good. It has about 3 to 4 times as much sugar as it actually needs. In fact, I was physically ill from eating it. Not only does the ice cream itself taste too sugary in the flavors are too cloyingly sweet, but they then want to mix in additional candies and sugar items which blows my mind. I humored them and tried an ice cream with mix ins and was greatly underwhelmed. Everyone who likes Amy's raves about the Mexican vanilla but honestly, that is also way too sweet and tastes like drinking vanilla extract. I can only surmise that there are a lot of folks with unsophisticated palates in Austin, otherwise there would not be so many positive reviews and this place would not be in business. On top of it the whole mixing thing so gimmicky and annoying it just makes the lion go way longer. Anyone who thinks this is great has not ventured out and tried anything else because they're literally 10 other ice cream places that I can think of that are actually great. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top.
