    Egg and cheese kolache.
    Leah L.

Locally owned. They get all their meats from another local business, Hudson's meat market. I'm so happy they are open on Sunday now! This was the perfect way to cap off a weekend after getting home from a river trip. There are so many more that I want to try that we will certainly be back. And they're in the neighborhood. I love supporting our local community.

Overall solid kolaches! Really enjoyed the sausage and cheese. The breakfast sausage, egg and cheese one was fine. There was more bread to filling location didn't think it was worth it. Heads up the pictures of the front is different. If you see a pizza sign you're in the right place.

They were closed during posted hours.

I ordered from their online toast menu, they took my money, but they were not open during their posted business hours. I tried calling both the business's phone number and the number on a "help wanted" sign, left messages, and got no response. I will end up having to cancel the charge through my bank. Do not patronize this business!

I was very happy with these kolaches! The kolache had real sausage and the jalapeño flavor had a great kick to it. The bread is very soft and the flavor is great. I really enjoyed the desert kolache - I ordered the apple flavor and it tasted like a mini apple pie! Recommend this location! It is a little noticeable that the owner is stern with the young worker at the front. Additionally the owner forgot about the coffee i ordered for quite a while. Other than that great experience.

This place is the absolute definition of a hidden gem, almost literally. I actually had a really tough time finding this place and got confused a lot. It's pretty hidden overall. But once you find it, you will be rewarded. I got the sausage kolaches which were great and everything you would hope and expect. BUT the star of the show was the bacon and cheese klobasnek!!! I took it home to enjoy and may have burned it a little in the Air fryer (don't judge me). But it was still amazing! The bread itself is so soft and fluffy and it's like something you want to sleep on, but not really because you want to eat it. Highly recommend getting one when you check this place out!

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. They still had a good variety of kolaches and pastries left too. I got served immediately and got the jalapeño cheddar kolache as well as a ham and Swiss one. Both were really good especially when warmed. I liked to kick of heat from the jalapeños and the bread was fluffy and fresh. Overall pretty solid kolaches and I definitely see myself returning.

Came in on a Wednesday morning to try Kolaches for the first time. I tried the sausage and cheese klobasnek and the peach kolache. The sausage klobasnek had a delicious sausage inside. The owner said it was from a local meat market. The peach kolache was good. The bread could have been a bit softer, but that might just be my preference. Overall, it was fun to try a Kolache and a Klobasnek for the first time. They seem to be very popular in Austin!

3.5 for me The kolaches were pretty good here. I appreciated that the sausage, jalapeño, and cheese packed some heat behind it. I also liked that the kolaches had real fruit and real sausages. The bread tasted fresh and was soft! In my opinion, saying that these are the best kolaches is kinda stretching it though because they taste like normal kolaches. What was kind of uncomfortable was that I thought the older woman was dismissive to the young worker. She seems really sweet and was just asking for genuine help with checking out the customers here. Every time she would ask a question, the older woman just seemed bothered that the younger woman even asked.

YUM YUM YUM I was so impressed! I had never been here before but randomly stumbled upon it. It's tucked off burnet but has plenty of parking. The gals inside were so sweet and amazing. *Don't forget to mask up before entering!* but they also have curbside if that's your jam. They took the time to share their favorites and let me know about the local ingredients used in their kolaches! They also carry greater goods coffee and had almond milk. I'm all around a very happy guest and will be back! Thanks ladies!

Ask the Community - Austin Kolache & Koffee Shoppe

Did the Kolache Shoppe close permanently? What happened to it? The building looks empty...

Saw someone outside of there today who said they're opening soon. Looks like a remodel going on inside. Crossing my fingers!!!

Anyone know what happen to this place?

We have moved to 8127 Mesa Dr., Ste. B202. Mesa Woods Shopping Center. Between Spicewood Springs and Steck.

While we're glad you joined us, I'm sorry to hear your breakfast experience didn't meet expectations. We'll be reviewing your comments with our culinary team to improve consistency. We appreciate you giving us a try and hope to provide a better experience in the future. Warm regards, Wes Brown It's great to receive a response from the business manager regarding our experience at their restaurant, but all four us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We had absolutely no complaints regarding our dining experience. Caroline is affiliated with the Marriott Element and Aloft hotels and that, I believe, where the affiliation ends. I try to avoid hotel eateries but I've had great dining experiences at hotels like the JW Marriott in Austin. We, four, stopped by on a Sunday AM for breakfast and we had a great time. They do have brunch cocktails available and their bloody Mary's were deemed excellent with just the right amount of spice. My bloody Maria was on point and we all got our Sunday Funday started. Breakfast was wonderful. Our eggs arrived cooked perfectly. The pepper bacon and real potato sides were off the charts delicious. They also offer a few TexMex breakfast options and Plus one was raving about her Huevos Rancheros plate. Service was excellent even though they became busy our server was very attentive. Pro tip: Sat and Sun AMs if you arrive early you can easily score a table.

Located in the corner of the plaza (next to the grocery store). Cute little bakery with a sweet older lady who speaks zero English but was nonetheless extremely welcoming and kind. She even gave my toddler a complimentary macaron. Sweet. I am usually pretty adventurous with trying new pastries/snacks and it generally works out well. Unfortunately, I did not like most of the things we took home that day (my husband agreed). A taro egg ball thing -- not fans. A gelatinous rice blob inside a bamboo leaf (believe it's called Zongzi) -- also didn't work for us. Finally, the beef puff (which seemed like a safe bet) fell short of expectations. It's my fault -- I ignored that part that said "beef floss." It had a stringy/processed texture that I just didn't like. I just wasn't a fan of the flavors/textures -- but obviously that's subjective. I did enjoy the garlic bread we also thankfully bought -- it was soft and flavorful. If you're not familiar with the foods, I'd recommend making sure you get a few "safe" items like the cream bread or garlic bread. Ultimately, even though I wasn't crazy about most of what I tried, it was a cute little shop with a nice lady running it.
