The space, though, is super Instagrammable with lots of playful decor. Parking is a little tight out front, with some extra spots along the side street. I ordered the crème brûlée taro milk tea with boba, and my husband got the regular crème brûlée milk tea with boba. Flavor-wise it was good, but my drink had a lot happening texture-wise. Between the crystallized sugar, grainy taro, and boba, it caught me by surprise. Once everything was mixed together, it was fine, just not my favorite. You order at a kiosk with no real person making recommendations. I should've known this place would be more created for photo ops than good quality products. Even so, the ambience seems like the decorations were cute, but very cheap and damaged overtime with little to no repairs. But I didn't come here for aesthetics. I came here for great Boba tea and sweet treats. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. What looked like a traditional milk toast dessert, was literally four pieces of stale bread, toasted and stacked on top of each other. that tasted freezer burnt with lots of sauce on top. No topping between each layer so it was not flavorful or tasty and all you could taste was a weird chemical flavor from the bread. Same thing with the ice cream, so freezer burnt that it tasted of chemicals, cardboard, and didn't even melt despite sitting on the plate for 15+ minutes. The Taro tea itself was fine with the crème brûlée topping, but the brown sugar Boba had the same chemical "going bad" flavor to it. It was super hard and bitter tasting instead of sweet. My pancakes were pretty good - I was expecting the sauce to have a thicker consistency, it was more like melted whipped topping. The pancakes were also more on the chewy side and not that fluffy. Since we were chatting away, I didn't bite into plate until about 10 minutes after they were ready, so it's possible they might taste differently if eaten immediately after they're cooked. My friend got an avocado smoothie and mango sticky rice. She enjoyed her plate but the smoothie was definitely on the larger side! Been here before and this time came with a larger group. The soufflé pancake isn't what I expect-it seems more like pancake than a soufflé. Tiramisu is sweet. Mango sticky rice-they have an option for kiwi and it's actually their default fruit but they ran out of kiwi. I've personally never heard of kiwi sticky rice. I've always gotten mango sticky rice (at Thai restaurants). Surprised that mango costs $1 more. Ube crepe cake-it's good but nothing extraordinary. Overall, their desserts are ok and kind of expensive. I would go back for the drinks. They have cool toppings I don't get to see at other tea places such as mermaid tears. From the moment you walk in you are transported to an ethereal garden! The restaurant itself is so beautiful. The food was delicious and surprising in flavor and texture. We went for breakfast on Mother's Day (which I do not recommend as a breakfast stop most definitely a dessert stop) but the service was so quick and easy. For the ice cream you can get between 1-3 scoops of either vanilla, chocolate, matcha, or strawberry ice cream. I got the vanilla and strawberry ice cream flavors and they were good! For the drinks I tried the: - Glory Pearl ($6.50) - it was lychee jasmine green tea with lychee jelly. I thought it was alright. Just like lychee fruit tea! - ⁠Crescent Moon ($6.50) - peach black tea with peach jelly. It is alright as well, i enjoyed the glory pearl more. Service: The items came out in a timely manner. Soufflé pancake was so fluffy and the toppings complemented it very well without being too sweet. Ube crepe had a distinct flavor from the taro and also a really nice texture and semi-sweetness to it. There's a free underground parking garage directly behind the building with lots of parking spaces, just a little tricky finding when using GPS to get there for the first time. Delicious! As an ex-Californian, one of the things I miss most after moving to Austin was the the variety and accessibility to boba shops. Austin still needs to work on their boba game, but as of now, this place takes the cake (pun intended). As everyone here has mentioned, the décor is like a little wonderland. Definitely Instagram worthy. As for food and drink, I've had: Crescent Moon 8/10 - delicious fruity peach boba tea with some peach fruits & jellies inside. Blue Butterfly Pea Cheese Foam 10/10 - this drink definitely hits the spot if you're looking for a boba tea with cheese foam. Boba tastes drink and you can taste the tea flavor pretty well getting it at 75% sweetness. Plus the blue color is beautiful. Ube Milli Crepe 10/10 - the presentation for this dish is spectacular! And the flavor is amazing as well. Not too sweet, great texture. No complaints. They might even be better at desserts than drinks! This is flavorful, in the description they let you know they use real taro not processed powder and you can tell. There are flavorful herbaceous earthy notes.
