SCW and I stopped in here a couple of times while staying in the area and needing some quick food. I was getting a bit on the edge of hangry so we stopped in. The selection for vegetarians is good. I've gotten the pinto bean burrito, the veggie burrito, veggie soft taco and one other I don't quite recall. I don't really know what the difference is supposed to be between the veggie soft taco and the veggie burrito as both times we've ordered them they are exactly the same. Not complaining but it's a bit odd. However the ingredients are really good. The veggie burrito has lettuce, some red cabbage, and a nice crunch from some kind of nuts among other things. I don't normally see these ingredients in a burrito but they add a good depth of flavor that makes the burritos really filling. We've only used the drive through here which is usually pretty quick. I do like that all of the packaging is recyclable. The service is good here as well. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. read more

I popped on thru the drive-thru earlier this summer for a quick fix on the way back to Renton. Super decent with my usual sides/meal of sides consisting of gauc, tots, and sometimes the beans sans cheese. Staff was cordial, smooth and the location is decent. Always enjoy the PNW color scheme & such. One unique feedback (or maybe just a design quirk for this spot) is the atypical modified traffic flow entering with the horse-shoe lane (which seems decently sized for maybe even a dually truck with perfect turn skillz). This setup can end up making a few dead-end parking slots fairly tight to maneuver. read more

It's been a while since I've had Taco Time, and their Crisp Burrito and Tater Fries (which is what I usually get there) was sounding good. I went through the drive-thru and ordered those two things, and also got the Shrimp Baja Taco. The Shrimp Baja Taco was pretty good. This quick serve establishment was icon of the PNW for years when I was growing up.... and actually was one of my first jobs as a young man..... I am embarrassed By the food.... quality Zero.... I can remember when taco time didn't seem like fast food..... a step above.... a good alternate to all the burger joints.... Now i would debate if Taco Bell was equal to them.... SAD. This place I thought was clean until I had to walk inside to tell them they got everything wrong from my drive through order. Stood by the counter for about 10 minutes hoping I could get someone's attention but no one near me only the guy working the fryer. But he never once checked or looked at the counter he was too busy grabbing peoples food with his bare hands and to make things worst he was eating while doing all of that. K, I am a fan of Taco Time! I still remember when Issaquah only had one Taco Time, so this second one was a nice addition because the first Taco Time was ALWAYS packed during the lunch hours. Plus, this Taco Time is much more convenient if you're located on the other side of the city, as you don't have to go on Gilman to get your Taco Time fix anymore! And because this location is the newer one, the building is much more modern and inviting. Heck, there's even a fireplace out on the patio! It's very welcoming. Food is solid. There's not much to it, as the food is simple and perhaps what you expected from a Mexican fast food chain, but it's yummy! They make their own hot sauce, too, which isn't too spicy yet provides a nice hint of spice to whatever you put it on. For me - I like that the Natural Soft Taco is filled with the basics, in addition to your protein of choice with lettuce, tomato, refried beans and ranch. The combination comes with your choice of side, and you can't go wrong with the Sweet Potato Mexi Fries, which are basically tots! Overall, this Taco Time is a solid place for lunch for me whenever I need a quick, casual meal, especially on the go as there is a drive-thru here that goes by quickly no matter how long the line is. I'm giving this one 5-stars because I love the food at Taco Time. My final note below usually warrants a drop to 1, but I'm feeling good today and I won't let lazy people ruin that. I've only ever ordered drive-thru at this location; always consistent, always tasty. Decided to stop inside today. My food was, as ever, great. Their chips are a little salty but I guess that's what most people like. The staff was prompt and kind. And it's a gorgeous build; the owners spared no expense in making it gorgeous. Music plays throughout and it's a nice vibe. Unfortunately, despite only a lone other customer on a quiet day as staff stood chatting quietly in the back, every table I looked at was dirty and unkempt. A 45-second pass through the small dining room would have made it all look great. Happily, I found the lone booth not shrouded in crumbs and enjoyed my tasty afternoon snack. A visit was made to this location one rainy evening, in an effort to gauge non-authentic Mexican fast food in the Seattle area. And it was not a great experience. I ordered a fish taco combo (came with tots, like Wyoming's Taco John) a lemonade (no ice) and a separate crunchy taco. For this dinner, it ran nearly $21, so that's Bitch #1. My no-ice lemonade had ice, and it was extremely weak even before the ice started melting. The line got really long, otherwise I would have gone back for a replacement. That's bitch #2. The fish tacos weren't terrible but really would have benefitted from lime (like Del Taco provided - it lends to the authenticity and they're the cheapest fruits around). Bitch #3. The ambiance ain't great, but it's fast food. The high point was the habanero salsa, which kept this from being a 1-star experience. So when you see a Taco Time, my suggestion would be to check your smartwatch and find a different place. read more

While Taco Time's North Bend location looks like an average interstate stop... it's our go-to for drive-thru in the Valley... especially in a pinch! -The food is great. Once in awhile, there's an off night... but there hasn't been anything that I had that was sub-par. (If you're looking for fancy Mexican fare, North Bend and Snoqualmie aren't lacking in options!) -The service has never been lacking. Staff is friendly and reminds me if I need sauce! It helps that they pay staff a decent wage, too. -It's reliable! Out of our fast-food locations, the hours have been stable (one of our other fast-food dining options in NB has become so unreliable that we don't even bother...) FAST! I think that's my #1 requirement when I am trying to grab lunch when I have 14 meetings during my work day and I didn't bring a packed lunch from home. Make it fast and right and you have a long-time customer. The drive thru is weird and you are allowed to only turn right when you leave which is away from the main road so just do a U-turn. My hubby went through the drive thru and we had a fairly large order. Well it happened. Yup.... Something was forgotten. Our 3 orders of Churros. After dinner I drove by and went inside and was instantly met with a warm smile and a wonderful cashier who quickly apologized and put in 3 fresh ones. Clean facilities. Plenty of parking. However, the food is rather pricey with what you get. Coming from LA, we thought it would be like Del Taco or something similar. It is not quite up to par in terms of food like Chipotle or Baja Fresh but its priced along those lines. I would say it is in between fast food Mexican food and Chipotle. A combo meal costed about $7.50, which didn't include that much. It came with two fish tacos and some tater tots. They had a "special" name for their tater tots and I asked the cashier what was special about them. He was like, "do you know what tater tots are?" Umm, yes. Then he said, well, they are tater tots with some special spices on them. When we tried the tater tots, there were no special "spices" on top. They were just like cafeteria style tater tots. For $7.50+, I'd say this is a rip off. It was definitely not a combo meal. We also got the chicken soft taco. It was rather large like a burrito. My issue was that there was so much flour tortilla surrounding it. It doesn't have much fillings besides lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken. What happened to the rice? My husband got the chicken salad, this was a rather big disappointment too. Just cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken. It was a rather plain salad that didn't taste exceptionally good. I think I was mostly annoyed with this place because the guy forgot to give us forks and napkins when we asked to take the food to go. After picking it up, we realized that he didn't provide us with the utensils. What did he expect? We would use our hands? We spent about $20+ on food that was sub par. However for some asinine reason they only take two orders a time in the drive through at lunch rush, letting all the rest of the cars extend into the intersection next to the paint store while they complete the two orders first. It's super weird, rude, and turns a 30 min break into a "wait 25 minutes in the drive through and eat in 5" break. Wish they'd fix it! read more

Let me tell you something, this is one good looking Taco Time. The interior will leave you thinking - am I at a Taco Time or a fancy Outback steak house. We really want to love this Taco Time because of the nice interior, the location for us, and as a better alternative to McDonald's in terms of getting a quick meal around here but.... There hasn't been a single time we've come away with a correct order. We've had to go back because of missing items or items that are completely wrong (like a bean burrito instead of a beef one). Or had to explain to the employees what was supposed to come on the item or meal. We have gotten used to checking​ the bag before pulling away from the window. The last straw was tonight when our take out order was missing the milk from the kids meal, they didn't ask if we wanted chips instead of the toy (we did), the salad had refried beans instead of pinto beans and it didn't have the chips for the side. I'm not sure how much you can really call the food Mexican but the bottom line it's cheap, fast and good. I think that Taco Time is pretty good fast food and I don't go here a lot but that's just because I'm not a huge fast food fan overall. Once again I'm extremely disappointed with this establishment. They tout local and fresh, but the quality and flavor belies that. Plus mexifries are just tater tots. No Mexican spices, kinda bland. I have tried to give TT a fair shake and see if it was just an off day. Multiple visits over several months and locations. Consistently meh, maybe bleh would be a better descriptor. Disclaimer: I am a longtime fan of Taco Time NW, so this review starts off a little biased. But, in my defense, this is the best location I have visited. The layout of this new taco time is great. Taking their brand from the limbo of quick serve restaurants (this is what they call themselves- not fast food, folks!) they have differentiated themselves very well with a spacious interior with a thoughtful layout that I daresay is tastefully done. There are gobs of windows, a fireplace, and even outdoor seating. This ain't the southwestern-esque tex-mex joint of my childhood. They have a sign talking about their design trying to reflect NW farmers markets and the like, and I think they have done a good job of both honoring local culture and making an upscale experience for the price range. Anyway... The food itself is why I come to Taco Time, so lets blab about that. I am a creature of habit and so for over a decade I only ordered chicken soft tacos, so for the most part I will simply say that the consistently fresh ingredients make the (probably) inauthentic taco taste uniquely savory and worth coming back for. I recently sampled one of their fish tacos and I was shocked to discover that it tasted like a taco I had from a stall in Mexico itself. Very good, but very closer than the border. Whenever they have sweet potato tots I yam all sorts of up in that bidness, they seriously need to have them year round. Please? Taco Time has also been rolling out their fandangled new soda machines which claim to have over 100 flavor combonations. All I know is I finally can get some vanilla coke again. I liked it!!! This is my first time at Taco Time ever and the experience was great! This new taco time in Issaquah is across from the Chevron gas station near Costco / Fedex. I was expecting the service might be kinda slow, because they are new and it's lunch hour. And it was not slow at all. There was about 5 customer in front of us when we walked in. I like how they have LCD screen on the wall that you can easier going over the menu while waiting in line. Their service was very fast, we didn't wait more than 5 min. Once I get to the cashier, the lady was very professional and fast. Answered the question I had. We were told to the food will bring to us, and the food get to us right after we got our drink and sat down. I ordered #3, Chicken Soft Taco Meal, which comes with a side order and a drink. I had Maxi Fries with my order. I like the chicken soft taco, the flavor was good and portion was nice as well. The lady even came by and took our trays when we finish eating. Overall experience was great! Fast speed, good food, good service and its clean. This is going to be one of my new fav spot! read more

We came through the drive through ordered our meals only to be told our only option is ice tea as a drink, when we asked for water they informed us...we don't have water....what?( How is that even possible)...since they were out of stock of everything else. The person taking our order had a bad attitude. As someone who has run actual restaurants, you should be offering discounted meals if you are forcing your consumers to drink Ice tea, because your restaurant manner forgot to place their order for the week. If you're expecting Taco Bell, nope. This is waaaayyy fresher. Real ingredients. VERY VERY clean and new place. A lot of young new employees turn around from the area but they all seem to have good training. The only sad thing (very sad) was when they discontinued their sweet potato mexi-fries.
