My wife and I go here about twice a month since COVID. Lately the service and food has declined. I always order chips with my meal. For the past year, I do not get the chips with the food. Always have to remind the staff. The chips come when I am half done with the meal. I take them home. They used to give you a real knife when ordering the carne asada. Now I get no knife. Ask for a knife and I get a plastic one. The same with the pollo asada plate. Even that dish has gone downhill. It was once juicy and delicious. Now it is a dried out jerky. Obviously made way earlier and reheated resulting in dry meat. We went there last week. My wife ordered nachos. They brought out a plate and the cheese was not even melted. I pointed this out to the waitress, "It's supposed to be that way." That was the first time ever being served nachos with cold cheese. It is a fast food place. I always leave a tip when ordering. In return you get no chips you ordered unless you ask two to three times. You get no knife. The onion you ordered to go on the plate never happens, and the once yummy chicken is now dried up meat. I was a bit disappointed coming here around 8pm Thursday. There was only one person ahead of me. The wait was long even when I was waiting for them to finish up with the customer prior in the drive thru. I went to the window and the girl had to confirm and ask for my order again -- it was incorrect on what she repeated, I only ordered the one burrito. I'm pretty sure she had to put my order in again. So she asked me to park my car in the front and put the number on top of my car. I asked her where, just to be specific and she said in the front again so I just went to the front. When I arrived in the front the whole front parking was filled so I didn't park any further because I'd assume they wouldn't see me if I was parking in the shadows further away. So I had to go out of my way and loop around twice until a parking opened up. But I got my burrito around 30minutes from my order time. I wouldn't go back here because of that experience. Came to the place at around 7:00pm on a hot day. Other than maybe that there was no A/C and the doors were wide open, the staff and the food was fantastic! For the price and for what you get, I mean you can't complain too much. I got the 3 tacos combo (asada, birria, adobada) and got a fountain drink. The tacos came hot and fresh off the grill. In terms of my preference it went: 1. asada; 2. birria; 3. adobada. All of which was quickly devoured. I then ordered another plate of tacos (asada only) and with beans and rice, which also kicked so much ass I jazzed all over the place. Staff were super friendly, and they (2 or 3 of them) even came and asked how we thought the meal was. I told them that I would write a review because I thought the place was really good. I've been going to this place for awhile now and have had no problem with it. Considering it is a chain restaurant, the tacos were good. I always get the spicy pork tacos and they are great. However, I noticed the quality of the spicy pork has gone down recently where the meat was not cooked in the same way anymore. They also are inconsistent in including all the sides such as lime and salsas. You can tell from the photos which one is bad. It wasn't until recently when I got my usual spicy pork tacos and they were completely different and even prepared different. The color of the meat was not very good - almost a reddish color!!! Not appetizing. it was always good before, but now the quality has gone down a lot. Based on other reviews, it seems like others also have the same experiences with receiving wrong and incorrect orders. The drive-thru often makes mistakes in taking orders and understanding. My family and i eat at this Sunset Blvd location at least 3 or 4 times per Month sometimes more. Tonight, 8/17/2026 at around 8:30is at night, Reyna Maritza rang us up. We ordered nachos and fried ice cream to share. Our total was $39.25. They brought the nachos to our table but did not take the # sign away from our table. I figured, they will come back for it when they bring us the ice cream. After our nachos they never came so my husband went to the counter and asked about our ice cream. He was told they will bring it over. Reyna Maritza cashier/server brought it to us. We ate but when we were at the door to leave. The lady at the counter embarrassed us infront of a lot of customers and asked (loud) if we paid for the ice cream. They asked for our receipt. By doing that they basically accussed us of leaving without paying. I CAN't BELIEVE THEY DID JUST THAT AND THE WAY WE WERE APPROACHED, IT WAS LIKE WE JUST SHOP LIFTED. We live so close to this place but have never tried it, so we decided to give it a go since we didn't have any idea what to make for dinner after leaving the gym. The drive thru experience was not good. Most menus I have seen will have a number for every item, so you can easily order. For some reason, this menu does not actually number all of its items which made ordering difficult. I ordered a taco plate (number whatever) AND a carne asada plate (which doesn't have a number for some reason). However, the person taking the order got this confused and I guess thought I wanted carne asada tacos. It was hard for me to understand her. Anyways, we got it straightened out at the window and pulled around to wait for our food. I don't know how this is listed on Yelp with a one-$ price rating. These two plates cost almost $45... for fast food! And the food was just okay. Neither plate was actually hot--lukewarm at best--from the 3-minute drive to the house. Finally, there's a giant pothole in the road as you are leaving that caught us by surprise. Now there's a cone sitting right in the middle of it, but hopefully it gets taken care of soon. In any case, we likely won't be back. I gave this place one last shot and sadly it failed miserably. Restaurant prices for "fast food" and slow...slow service. Food is not great either. From the time I pulled up to the drive through to the time I got my food was around 26 minutes. Only two cars were in front of me. 6 of those minutes was spent waiting for someone to even come to the window when I pulled up...only for them to ask me what my order was?!! Cheese enchiladas and chips and salsa will throw you back nearly $20. And if you wonder how can anyone possibly screw up cheese enchiladas? Well, you can. Their "regular" enchilada sauce tastes like watered down bbq...it was not super pleasant. Also, the cheese was extremely burnt all below the enchilada itself. There's no way they didn't notice it while pouring it into the clear container. The hair was so long. Would've got a higher rating if this was the first time with hair in the food. The best authentic Mexican food I've had in years. The first clue this place was going to be good was the long line at the drive thru and the packed parking lot. The second hint was seeing tongue, cabeza and tripa as available meat options. The tacos are made with double soft corn tortillas and a healthy amount of sweet onions and cilantro. The beef was sweet with a bit of a tangy, spicy kick. The onions were fresh. Total perfection. The gorditas had a generous amount of lettuce, tomatoes, Mexican cream, refried beans, cheese, mild salsa, onions and cilantro. The shells were soooo good. The meat was good in both but I was more impressed with how tasty the beans were. I ordered 8 tacos (1 per goal up to 4 max per ticket per game) since I have 2 qualifying tickets in the drive-thru. First they complained at me that I was supposed to specify that it was for the Sounders promotion before ordering and second, they complained at me that I have to walk in to do the promotion and can't use the drive-thru. Neither of these two conditions are listed in the promotion terms, nor is there a single sign anywhere telling you these requirements. Fine, I pull out of the drive-thru and go inside as they told me to do. I walk inside, present my two tickets, and they tell me that I need a second person with me, despite the terms making no note of that, and specifically saying that it is per ticket. I show them the terms, but they don't care. The workers tell me that they will only give me 4/8 out of tacos that they have already made, and bagged. They then removed half of tacos from the bag and gave me the half empty bag. I've ordered a party pack of tacos from them before, but after this experience and their lack of integrity, I would much rather patronize any of the dozens of other Mexican restaurants that are on the same stretch of Sunset, and no worse in quality. read more

I have a favorite taco truck in Renton and it was closed for the holiday week. Had seen advertisement for El Rinconsito and needed to check out this place. I got the three tacos plate with horchata. My boyfriend got the enchimi plate. The asada street tacos had great flavor. The plate of tacos was a bit more greasy than I'm used to when I usually get street tacos. The horchata was perfectly creamy and tasty. The enchimi plate was one enchilada and one chimichanga, rice, beans and sour cream and guacamole.
