Visit 3/28/2024 at 6 pm and the food was terrible. The manager MIranda is a poor example of what I would want to manage my restaurant. I ordered a Tostado Salad along with other food for 6 of us and spent over $80 dollars. When I took it back to the counter Nathan told Miranda the manager and she said we water down our beans and that is how it is. I said I couldn't eat they said OK and threw it away with no solutions. The place was dirty and the garbage cans were over flowing. Do not eat here till they train better. The size of burritos is less then any other Taco Time. Enjoyed their crisp chicken tacos, chicken chopped salad and if we feel like splurging, their crisp pinto bean burrito. Five stars There's a large selection of salad dressing to choose from the cilantro lime is pretty delish and it's nice it's provided on the side in a large container. My only gripe is how out of reach their hot sauce can be. We like them that's why I can't keep quiet about this. It seemed like every time we get home, we always get disappointed the hot sauce is not included. This time, I indicated clearly I want three containers. When I got to the second window, the girl named off all the food items and not the sauce. As a just in case, I asked if the three hot sauces were in the bag and she said yes. When I got home, no hot sauce! Normally, I would let things go especially with the short staff and hard times. It's just frustrating when every time we come something goes wrong. Why is it that when I purchase a beef or chicken soft taco at the Kirkland (corporate) location, the size of the burrito is double what I usually receive at your location? I can't imagine how the chicken soft tacos were made today! We had two, and they both had so much liquid in them - my clothes, purse, car seat, door frame and ground outside my car were soaked! What could that white, watery mess have been? Must have been a half cup or more of this white, watery waterfall of liquid! I unwrapped one end and started eating it, and felt something cold and wet on my leg. I looked down and - wow! There was a pool of liquid that was waterfalling everywhere. On May 8, 2022 my husband stopped at the Taco Time at Hwy 2 in Monroe, Wa @ approximately 9:30pm. He ordered me a Soft Pinto Bean Burrito, my favorite of Taco Time fare. He then drove the 30 minutes home. The burrito was labeled "BEAN". It was NOT BEAN, it was BEEF, which was inedible to this vegetarian. Too late to go back and too late to call. My husband would just let them know the next time he was there. Fast forward to tonight May 22, 2022, @ approximately 9:30pm. My husband explained what happened with our previous order and asked that they make sure they provided a pinto bean burrito. There was NO offer made by the staff to rectify their previous mistake, (i.e. a free burrito). My husband confirmed it was a bean burrito, in front of the drive thru employee. He then drove the 30 minutes home. I opened the burrito to add ranch and jalepenos, instead I pulled out a fairly large piece of thick plastic wrap type material (see photos). This was second time within two weeks that I was unable to eat the burrito. Who knows where the plastic was from and what it's original use was. I feel that this was purposely done in direct RETALIATION for the initial burrito complaint... On a more probable than not basis. I'm glad I opened up the burrito before taking a bite. A piece of plastic of this size could easily become lodged in the esophagus, causing choking and be life threatening. THE MONROE, WA TACO TIME EMPLOYEES ON BOTH OCCASIONS WERE UNFRIENDLY AND CURT. IT IS NOT UP TO THE STANDARDS WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM OTHER TACO TIME LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT WESTERN WASHINGTON. Taco Time is our favorite fast food restaurant. You have to order & pay here via computer as there is no person taking your order. We waited in dining over 22 min. for our (cold) food & the place was virtually empty. You also must pay for hot sauce. You must ask for the code to get in the bathroom, maybe it's a dangerous area??? One evening about 7 p.m., despite there being few cars queued, I sat in the drive-thru for 35 minutes waiting for a beef soft taco with no ranch. As I waited at the window for my order, it was clear that the reason for the delay hadn't been a lack of staff: there were plenty of people working in the kitchen. I have no idea what was taking so long, but there was no excuse for it. At long last, after I'd determined I couldn't just exit the drive-thru and abandon my hopes for dinner because of a concrete barrier and a hedge blocking me on the right and other cars in front, I finally made it to the window, and they finally handed me the beef soft taco. It was soaked in ranch. Like an entire bottle of it. It was a joke to them. They thought it was funny. "Haha, look what we did to this old Karen who had the nerve to ask us to hold the ranch! Ha ha ha!" I contacted Taco Time's customer support and asked for a refund of the cost of the soft taco, which was a bit over $5. They forwarded it to the Monroe location's store manager, who ignored it. "Ha ha, look at this pathetic Karen trying to get her money back for the food we deliberately ruined! Epic! Ha ha!" Weeks later, someone else at Taco Time HQ contacted me, apologized for the delay in response, and in her best corporate mock sincerity, asked what she could do to help. I repeated my request: refund my money for the ruined order. That was months ago. Not a word since. She no doubt forwarded the report to the same incompetent store manager, who did f***-all, and probably laughed again at the "demanding" Karen who had the gall to request a *gasp* ranch-free soft taco. So now you know the story of why I'll never come back here. read more

Northwest tradition! If you're not from here, don't expect Mexican food. It's not. There's really nothing Mexican about Taco Time other than foods come in tortillas or taco shells. But don't let that deter you. The food is fresh for "fast" food and there are tons of healthy options. Their soups are good, and salads too. But my go-to is the chicken soft taco, mexi-fries (tater tots) and extra sauce (like salsa, but also not). It might seem like I don't like Taco Time, don't get me wrong, I LOVE it. Just don't go in with expectations if you haven't tried it before. It's 100% better than Taco Bell, but doesn't compare to authentic Mexican food done well. read more

Taco Time gets 5 stars for their dedication to the use of recycling and composting. Also the promotion of using local food suppliers is admirable. But sadly the food is just not that great compared to similarly priced restaurants and not as good as cheaper options. TThe slowest taco time I've ever been to. Avoid and get something else. Easily 10-15 minutes in the drive through for a bean burrito. After a long day of hiking we stopped by Taco Time on our way home. We decided to go through the drive thru, that way to ensure a speedy drive home. Robert, our customer service expert was anything but friendly. He was rude, unattentive, and dismissive. We repeated our order 3x then upon receiving our beverages he says" here's your coke" meanwhile looking the opposite direction. When we told him we didn't order a coke he got snotty and argued then finally offered toake a new one. I am not sure I'd he was having a bad day or if he is always hard his life. Decided to try Taco Time for the first time tonight, after waiting 10 mins in the drive thru for my order, i was prepared to write a bad review. Then i bit into the crispy chicken burrito and fresh cooked tots and was loving it. Though when i took a bite of the baja taco, i immediately spit it back out. The beef tasted old and it was cold, stone cold. Bit sure if it was because if the slow service or because its 9:30 at night but neither should be an excuse. I probably won't come back and if i do, it will only be fir the crispy burrito and tots. I won't dare try the other stuff for fear of tasting mildew again. read more
