The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

I am always tempted to give the people at the drive thru a tip like I do at Starbucks, because they are SO nice and friendly. I don't do any other fast food restaurants, but Taco Time always tastes fresh and they are so nice... I eat there quite a bit! read more

Obviously made way earlier and reheated resulting in dry meat. We went there last week. My wife ordered nachos. They brought out a plate and the cheese was not even melted. I pointed this out to the waitress, "It's supposed to be that way." That was the first time ever being served nachos with cold cheese. It is a fast food place. I always leave a tip when ordering. In return you get no chips you ordered unless you ask two to three times. You get no knife. The onion you ordered to go on the plate never happens, and the once yummy chicken is now dried up meat. She made direct eye contact with me but never came to the window. A second employee then walked up, looked directly at me, checked her phone, filled a drink cup, and stood there drinking it without acknowledging me or offering any assistance. I continued waiting while both employees focused on other tasks. Another car pulled up behind me but eventually left because no one was being helped. After several more minutes, I gave up, parked, and went inside to request a refund. When I explained what had happened, I was told they hadn't seen me, despite the fact that both employees had clearly made eye contact with me while I was sitting at the window. What makes this especially frustrating is that I live so close to this Chipotle and would prefer to be a regular customer here. Instead, the combination of poor customer service and consistently small portions has made me question whether it's worth coming back at all. I expect much better from Chipotle.

Also on the plate was a little pile of dry shredded lettuce without any dressing or flavor. The seasonings in this dish were good, but note that the heat index is awfully high.
