BEAN & CHEESE BURRITO!!! Taco Treat has been here for ages! I have driven by this spot my whole life but surprisingly this was my first visit here. My go to hard taco spot is Taco Lita but they are closed on Sundays. Decent sized parking lot. Walk up ordering only. No indoor seating. Cash only. Monday and Tuesday they have promo deals. Service was super friendly and nice. Bean & Cheese Burrito - $3.40 - I hate beans but I loved this bean & cheese burrito. Something so simple but made really well. Good combo of beans and cheese where one did not over power the other. They are made chimichanga style, deep fried perfectly and not oily. Huge burrito for the price. Taco - $2.35 - Probably the nicest packed taco I have had. Each layer was so nicely stacked. Very good ratio of each topping. Meat at flavorful. Very thick taco. Again, simple but made perfectly. Taco Litas taco sauce is a lot better then Treats. My new go to hard taco spot! read more

Simply put, the food is great. My wife and I have gone there twice. The first time was good. The second time (just yesterday)was a whole different ball game. I don't know if it was my tattoos or my Trump hat, but after we ordered, we were told to wait about 10 minutes. When I went to the pickup window (15 minutes later), they asked, "2 burritos, right?" I replied, "No, 2 taco salads, remember?!?" Then I went back to my car and waited another 10 minutes. When I returned to the pickup window, I asked if my order was ready, to which they replied, "One of them is." If you have a fried food craving, if you're ever in the area, you stop in at this place right here. My best friend had finally said, let's stop here for a byte. I told him, I lived in this area since I was in high school, I had no inclination to stop here what so ever. He then replied, now we really have to stop here. Who would have thought, a burrito that they make, you deep fry it. Would that be called a chimichanga? It was a bean burrito my friend ordered. I ordered the regular tacos where it's the hard shell with loads of cheese. Fairly quick turn around so you don't have to wait too long. Tables to the side so you can stuff your face. One of a kind location around these parts. I'm sure there are other places that do the same thing but only one Taco Treat. Don't get it twisted, this is not your usual taco truck style tacos, this is more like what Del Taco or Taco Bell would model after. Simply better than those joints. read more

Plenty of parking in the attached lot, as well as the curb. Service is curt and bereft, but not quite surly. Despite the fast-food nature of this eatery, expect a bit of a line when you arrive. This place is an icon in the area. No frills place. It's a large shack with plenty of parking. From what I hear they've been serving their American Mexican food for decades. I admit for years I drove past this place without a second thought and finally stopped in to try and glad I did. They have an amazing bean and cheese burrito. It's huge. Like over a foot long and fried perfectly. Now be warned that burrito captures and retains the heat. So eat slowly lest you get burned. It stays warm til about the last bite. I'm ambivalent about this place. While the food had flavor, I was under-whelmed by what I pulled out of the bag! The taco was a pile of grease- saturated right through the ENTIRE wrapper AND taco shell. There was NO crunch to the taco shell at all. Had to use a spoon. And the meat was spicy, wasn't anticipating that. The "burrito" was fried! Didn't know that. First bite was all tortilla. Got to beans, but didn't see it taste any cheese. I've driven by this place countless times on my way to work, and for some crazy reason it's always got a line. Everything was so oily and greasy or deep fried. Alright alright, I knew what I was getting into so I do not fault them on the amount of oil on something that's fried. But there needs to be more... something other than just pure oil and grease. None of the meat had any flavor, it was incredibly bland. All I could taste was the oil. After reading the reviews here, I went back and tried some other items. I had the same experience. I must be missing something because there is a huge following for this place, maybe its just the nostalgia of people coming here since they were young? I am not sure, but I know I will not be coming back. Maybe go here if all you want is a bean and cheese burrito. But if you want something that's actually flavorful don't expect much. These tacos are a throw back to those Americanized old school tacos that aren't so authentic like a street taco, but still a tasty treat. Hard shell, seasoned beef (generous portion) lettuce, cheese, tomato. You can ask for some "taco sauce" but it's watery and not really spicy. Just add some Tapatio when you get home. It's a take out window with no real place to sit down and eat. The burrito is really more like a flauta. The bean and cheese burrito is rolled up in a flour tortilla and then deep fried until it's golden, flaky and crispy.
