Taco Zone is great. I go here all the time with my friends when we are craving some late night tacos. Which is kind of all the time. It's not the cheapest taco truck out there, but the tacos are soooo good. The only thing, though, is that everything else on their menu doesn't compare. The tacos are your basic two corn tortillas with nothing but meat on them (except the veggie ones, which have beans and cheese and are quite good), but they taste oh so delectable. They have a bunch of different meats from your ordinary chicken, asada, carnitas, etc, to stuff like tripe, tongue, etc. They all taste good. I find a perfect amount for me is 9 tacos and a large horchata, which runs about $13. I think what really makes the tacos great is their corn tortillas, which are probably the best I've ever had. They are nice and chewy and don't have that dry, flaky texture that a lot of corn tortillas have. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is their other offerings (burritos and quesadillas) aren't really anything to write home about. The burritos are large but contain basically just meat. No beans or rice or cheese. You may like that, but it's a little bit of an overload for me and starts to taste a little boring a few bites in. It is pretty large, though. The quesadilla is a quesadilla and it's also pretty large, but it doesn't really taste that great. It's definitely serviceable, but I feel like it has a bit too much cheese, and their cheese probably isn't the best so it's a little rubbery. Still, not bad, but I say just stick with the tacos. Lastly, there's only one window to order and pick up from, so it does get a little hectic and if you like to order a lot of food, remember what you ordered and stay close by because they just yell out the order and give it to whoever comes to pick it up. My tacos got stolen once when someone else took them! They also sometimes forget to give you your horchata, so a friendly reminder might be needed. Still, all in all, awesome tacos! read more

Unlike a lot of famed LA food finds, this truck lives up to the hype. The quesadilla was cheesy and greasy but excellent -- it tastes sooo different than your usual Mexican restaurant variety, and I mean that in the best way possible. I don't know how they do it. The carne asada taco was also extremely flavorful. The counter lady seems to speak English but not willingly. Brush up on your Spanish. read more

Seriously. No seriously though, these are like little ambrosia tacos. Finally, true deliciousness from a taco truck. I'm almost fairly certain that when i took a bite of the asada taco, angels sang and church bells rang, cause it was just that amazing. Possibly the best taco truck in Los Angeles. The suadero beef brisket is soft, fluffy and on point. A burrito and two tacos will be under $10. The salsa bar is awesome with roja, Verde and tomatillo. Good portions and filling. Damn I wish I lived closer so I could eat this more often rather than just when going to echoplex to catch a show. like everyone else me and my friend came here after a long night on the town and were getting that 4th meal hunger. So of course we yelped what was closest and came up with this gem. The tacos asada were great and the meat was moist and full of flavor as well(the agua de horchata was great too). I was really surprised how fast that they were ready too I stepped away from the window for literally 1 min and the food was there. It was as if some magic was involved. Well whatever it was you can count on fast service, great food, and great customer service. And for those who don't "habla espanol" at least make an EFFORT to order and pronounce the words properly (doesnt have to be perfect, but as long as you try "A" for effort). The best burrito. Period. It opens at 9p, but get there at 8:55 so you don't have to wait in line for more than a minute or two. Make sure you get all of the fixins, but especially the avocado salsa. I went to this food truck to pick up some late night post work 'I'm starving food.' I guess I should have read the reviews before I went as I ordered 2 vegetarian burritos and an horchata which came to $14.00! Sound like a rip off? They charged me $6 per vegetarian burrito and all they had in them were pinto beans cheese rice cilantro and onions. They tasted OK and the horchata was tasty but those prices are over the top for veggie burritos that are nothing special! Next time I will try the tacos as everyone says they are 1.50 each (now that I know after the fact). I love burritos as I am from San Diego and I usually prefer them over tacos but I won't be eating another burrito from this truck so I won't get ripped off again!
