    Fish taco feast

This is GOAT fish taco period, in my humble opinion. Still so yummy - crunch fish with relish radish , shredded cabbage & crema- done - perfection. No fuss no mas just ! Service- home style just like you came home just do warm! Local hidden gems of Los Feliz...

Straight to the point, the tacos are really good both the fish and the shrimp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is really cool. It's very comfortable lay back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A totally reminds me of Ensenada not completely but they do hit the mark and it is a very comfortable place to grab some tacos.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. the people that work there are also really down to earth cool just a really nice vibe. If you get a chance, check it out. Let me just say, it's not exactly like Ensenada, but they comes really close and they definitely get five stars for me .

They cook it as you order it!

I just discovered my new addiction! Where else can you get DELICIOUS fish tacos for $3.50 and shrimp tacos for $4.50 in Los Angeles in a restaurant ??? I'll wait.... You can't!! I don't know how I found this place but I did, on a random Tuesday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute little quaint spot with Mexico vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You get to put whatever they offer on your taco... in a buffet like style. You'll understand when you get there. Run... do not walk to try this place out. It'll be your new addiction too. OH! And to top it off, their Horchata's are a dollar!!!! You heard that right... $1. :)

Can't believe I found this place near my friends condo! This place only has 3 things on the menu, fish tacos, shrimp tacos and lemonade! But I think they also have a vegetarian options. I mostly came here for the fish tacos. Me and my friend both famished after our hike up to the Griffith Observatory! We were worried they weren't open, we called around 7:30pm but no one picked up, so we figured we'd just pop over and take a chance. There were tons of free street parking on the side street! Just keep in mind if u go Wednesday night, all the recycling, garbage and compost bins are out. Got there at 8:10pm (they close at 9pm) We both ordered 2 fish and 1 shrimp tacos. They have tons of option in the salsa bar for you to dress your tacos like you like it! There are more options in salsa than what they have on their menu! lol. Their tacos are made to order so if you come at lunch or dinner time, I'm sure there's a wait! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside on a cool evening just before they were closing so as soon as we inhaled our tacos we had contemplated to get an encore but it was 8:35 and I could see the lady had her dishwashing gloves cleaning up the place so we didn't wanna keep her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you crave fish tacos, you can't miss this place!! The name says it all

Fish taco with crema and homemade salsa (mild)
    Joey Y.

Best meal of the day! i had 2 fish and 1 shrimp. Idk what's in the batter or if it's a combination of good crema with homemade salsa (you actually see the ingredients)... but I've never devoured 3 tacos so fast. The fish was fried immediately so nothing under a heat lamp. The tortillas were not just warm but also had a few char marks which is just beautiful. Lemonade was $1! The owner/manager was there and thanked us for coming, really chill guy. I haven't tried all the fish tacos but this is pretty much the best fish taco for me. Hope to be back on my next LA stop.

A neighborhood treasure.... Continue to carry-on

Simple and delicious!!! This fish stand was been around for centuries... it seems. They do what they do ... very well. The salsa bar is fresh and very tasty and creative. When in the neighborhood... it's a must for fish or shrimp tacos

This place is amazing and tasty. You order your tacos and they give you the protein and the tortilla. They have a salsa and cream bar on the side where you can add the amount of lettuce, cream sauce, or salsa that you want. It's a good experience. Parking can be a pain during rush hour as there is only street parking. Staff is nice and attentive

This place has a very simple menu, but everything is done really well. I ordered one of each, the fish, shrimp, and potato tacos, and they were all incredible. I could not pick one that I liked more than the other, but the potato with the chipotle sauce had this delicious smokey flavor. The food comes out quick, and the service is so nice and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have both indoor and outdoor seating and street parking is fairly easy to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have good music playing with good vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a great place to go if you want Baja style tacos! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a bit of a hole in the wall, but those are honestly usually the places with the best food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You know it's good when they stick to one thing. The menu is very simple. They offer shrimp and fish tacos so I decided to try both! The batter is not too heavy and the fish and shrimp were very fresh. The food came out relatively quick and they have a salsa bar to fix up your tacos how you want them. Also tried a potato taquito which was really good. This place is definitely worth a try!

No nonsense fish or shrimp tacos for less than $5 and a drink for $1 with a full on open salsa bar. How amazing is that?! There was only one lady working, amazing. She's seriously holding down the fort by herself, one had on the register and one hand frying. Seating inside is plentiful but the ambiance resembles your typical hole in the wall vibe. I recommend sitting outside in their patio area, as it has some plants/trees that feel a bit nicer. There's limited free street parking nearby.

THE PAPA TACO. i thought it was a special daddy taco- for real. it was a boring POTATO (papa in spanish) taco. too little fish on top :-(

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The booths had huge pillows that made them surprisingly comfortable and inviting. They also have a huge selection of alcohol, including plenty of mezcal options. Parking is available through street parking, valet, or a nearby lot for $9. Salsa Molcajete -- $7 The portion was smaller than I expected, but the spice level was just right. The salsa had a very smooth consistency and came with a good amount of tortillas. The tortillas were thin and crispy, which I really enjoyed. Aguachile de Camarón -- $18 A good variety of ingredients came with the aguachile, including red onion, cucumber, tomato, and radish. Each added a different flavor and texture, which made the dish more interesting. It leaned a little sweet for my taste, but the shrimp itself was cooked perfectly with a great texture. Daisy's Branzino -- $28 The branzino was a little smaller than expected, but this ended up being my favorite dish. The greens on the side added a nice freshness, while the crispy skin gave the fish a great texture. The guacamole was also a really good addition and elevated the dish. It was slightly on the salty side, but overall, the flavors worked really well together. Carne a la Parrilla -- $58 We ordered the steak medium and it came out cooked to perfection. The meat was tender with a good amount of char flavor, and the accompanying sauce paired really well with it. The flaky salt on top was a particularly nice touch and added just the right amount of seasoning. Virgin Horchata Pretty standard horchata and nothing particularly unique. It had a heavier cinnamon flavor, which was nice if you enjoy cinnamon-forward horchata. Virgin Jamaica & Mango This was much more refreshing. It tasted very fresh, almost like the flavors came directly from the fruit and plants themselves. Definitely my favorite of the two non-alcoholic drinks. Overall, Mirate is definitely worth checking out for the atmosphere and presentation. The outdoor seating is beautiful and comfortable, and while some of the portions were smaller than expected, the quality and flavors of the food were generally very good. The Daisy's Branzino and Carne a la Parrilla were my standouts.
