You get a lot of meat for the price! I spent $7.50 for these 3 tacos. Heads up that it's cash only or venmo. They have only 1 table to sit so also keep that in mind. The food was delicious and I'd take friends there after a night out or DTLA concert.

I'm in LA for work, so my kids have been recommending places to me. This one is amazing! Taco Zone is the real deal. Their food is simple, yet spectacular. I had a couple suadero mulitos and a lengua mulito. My dinner companions enjiyed veggie mulitos. All were perfect. When suadero, lengua, and cabeza is on the menu, you know it's authentic. The staff is friendly and the service was quick. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Got some tacos from this truck in Echo Park and have to say it's one of the best. It doesn't look like much to be honest. Taco Zone is more about the actual food though. Pretty cheap prices as far as anything that's around it. You can get meaty or vegetarian friendly ones, whichever. A lot of these taco trucks are around here. It's easy to confuse these with each other. This one is usually located in the parking lot in front of Vons. It even has a table you can eat at. You go and order from the truck, and it's usually not a long wait. It's about $2 for tacos, so it's cheap. We got some of the Vegan Supreme Tacos. Loaded with filling. These had avocados, beans, and rice. Have some cheap ass tacos from here. It's in the parking lot on Alvarado just north of Sunset. There's lots of options for vegans and vegetarians.

No frills taco shop that will likely be one of usual spots!! You place your order at the counter and pay in cash. They have many varieties. My favorites were the tripa and suadero. They also are self serve in the salsa and topping selection. The red one packs quite a kick so be careful! Each taco is $2.50 and they seem small but have so much meat, it's so worth it!! Also this is right next to the Vons so parking is easy!

Quick service for the right price with an extensive walk up toppings bar! Meats were shredded and dry, though my friend said the Lengua was much better. Perfect for a late night bite.

Always get the mulitas de suadero. They do it the best here. Add the Avocado salsa, green salsa and onions. Must try

The suadero mulita...not many more things on this still somewhat green earth that I love more than the suadero mulita here. I mean seriously, I even included it has one of the items I would want as my last meal on my profile, LOL. I legit was looking into trying to hire them to cater one of my milestone birthdays as well. I've been going here for years... came here when I lived on the west side and visited friends in the area. Then when I got a job downtown and moved to Silverlake about 10 yrs ago, I used to eat here at least 2 nights a week on my way home from work. The tacos and burritos here are great, but my usual go to is 1-2 mulitas and 2 tacos. For the tacos I tend to order the pork. The folks here are always very kind and I love that you get to dress up your own tacos with the light green sauce being my fave. It's pretty much a no-brainer that I would come back. As a matter of fact, it is a personal tradition that I hit this place up every time I go to a Dodger game either before or after. And I mean every time. The prices for the most part seem to have been consistent so I never worry about showing how many here. This is one of the places where I will take buddies to and out of towners to when I wanna introduce him to one my favorite foods in the world.

    Suadero, asada, and pastor tacos

I've driven past this place plenty of times late at night and notice that there is usually a good amount of people waiting in line. So, I decided to check out their reviews and was not too shocked when I saw that they had pretty good reviews on both Google and Yelp. After reading so many reviews, it was clear that anything "suadero" was a must. I ordered a suadero burrito, while my girlfriend ordered suadero, asada, and al pastor tacos. I must say that I was impressed with being able to get your own salsas as most places did away with this during covid, making it less ideal to get as many salsas as you want...so for that, I do commend them and that's the sole purpose of me giving them 3 stars. However, let's talk about the most important thing: meat. The suadero was AT BEST a 2.5/5. I have had suadero in the past, and being that it is a pretty tough meat, it needs to be slow cooked. The way they do it here just doesn't do it for me, but I can't speak for everybody else who loves crunchy meat apparently. I would much rather just order carnitas since it tasted like that anyway. It was crunchy, and some pieces just tasted like burnt ends. My girlfriend's "carne asada" was mushy meat, and no actual separate pieces to see. Overall (and sadly), the salsa bar is the best part about this place. Might be good for drunk people, after hours, when taste buds are confused because sober me was not impressed.

    2 mulitas and 1 taco!
    Daryl D.

I've been coming to Taco Zone for so many years and I still keep coming back. Coming here, I was introduced to mulitas. A simple way to describe it is a mini quesadilla but so much better. I love their tacos, burritos, mulitas, quesadillas and the horchata. I get what I feel like when I'm ordering. Usually, it's some sort of combination of mulita and taco. Prices have slowly risen throughout the years, but of course still reasonable.

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

The waiter recommended the crispy shrimp taco, but I actually enjoyed the vegetarian tacos more. I love cauliflower and poblano so that taco was a great starter. So much flavor and a variety of textures. The tortillas were super flavorful too. The potato taquitos came next and I am actually obsessed. The outside was perfectly crispy, the interior was soft, flavorful & cheesy. The sauce complimented it perfectly. I can not recommend them enough.
