The food was great! I have been wanting to come here for a long time. The parking had only 2 open spots. We got lucky. The burrito was a good size and the flavor of the food was great. We sat outside in the picnic area under the shade of umbrellas. They were playing Mexican music on the outdoor speakers. The service was fast. This was a super late lunch at 4 pm. I will definitely come back.

A friend told us to try this place out & I'm so glad we did! The pork taco was amazing and had so much flavor! The asada taco was pretty good as well. The salsas were awesome too, each taco was $4.95, on the pricier side in my opinion but I would say worth it! And they have plenty of drink options, I got the Guava Lime & it was great, not overly sweet. They have bar seating inside and large outdoor patio seating. Only downside is the parking but definitely will be back

Stopped in and ordered a carne asada street taco and an asada vampiro. The asada vampiro was the clear standout. The crispy shell with melted cheese took the same asada and elevated it, more texture, more flavor, and just more fun to eat. If I came back, this is what I'd order again without hesitation. The street taco was decent. The meat had a nice smoky flavor, but it didn't quite pop my cork. Some of that is personal preference -- I'm not a huge street-taco guy -- and some of it felt like it could've been a touch fresher off the grill. Not bad, just not a knockout. The restaurant had a great smoky aroma, and the salsa was solid. I'm usually a salsa-bar fan, but even with the small containers, the flavors were good and complemented the food well. Now, here's where they earned the bump: the service was excellent. Very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, that kind of service matters and it shows. Also, small but funny detail: the Pepsi chairs instantly reminded me of the classic "No Coke, Pepsi" SNL skit....had to chuckle, but I think I was flying solo on with this joke. Food-wise, this was a 3.5 star experience, but the great service adds the extra half star.

Wow the food here was sooooo good!! I will definitely be coming back for the queso tacos de adobada con pina (with pineapple) it was the best item we ordered!!! We also had the horchata y guayaba Bebida (guava drink) which was also very yummy! Lengua tacos were a hit and the service was awesome. It was clean and parking was easy and the eating area was nice and chill but most of all it was tidy and sanitary. I can't wait to come back again!

Great little taco place next to Wilson High School. Everything is good here. Parking is limited and most of the seating is outdoors. Usually get the carne asada quesadilla. The tacos are great here and the people are nice. Happy Yelping!

tacomasa catered @ a schools multicultural event and offered asada, pollo and al pastor tacos along with burrito options. The flavors were bold and fresh but i feel like i need to try more. The menu was basic but sufficient for this that type of event. However, what i did try has me craving for more. If you love guacamole, their sauce hands down the creamiest. So, if you are in the area of any of their locations, i would say try them out.

I like this spot! Super friendly and welcoming, our pup was greeted with a little treat the moment we walked in, and we were offered samples of any of the meats since it was our first time. We tried the asada steak, pollo asado chicken, and tripa tripe tacos. The meats and tortillas were both delicious. The tripe is fried rather than a menudo style, which is what I was expecting, but the different texture worked well. The salsa is also "not too spicy" according to their staff, but to me it was definitely a medium, so beware if your spice tolerance is low like mine! Patio is clean and inviting as well, a really nice place for lunch or an early dinner to catch the sunset.

Good food, good value. I've been driving past for years and finally made my first trip to Tacomasa. Staff were friendly and answered my questions about their menu. I ordered a lengua taco and a nopal (cactus) mulita. Both were greatm but that nopal will definitely have me coming back again and again! They bring your food to your table, so you can order at the counter, grab a seat, and not worry about listening for them to call your name or order number.

Went on a Saturday around 6 and it was moderately busy but the food came out in around 10 minutes! I got one nopal taco and one nopal mulita. Even though I know they just made it, the dishes didn't seem super fresh or warm. With the mulita, I felt the cheese could've been more melted. The flavors all felt bit dull to me too. Nothing especially stand out or flavorful. I don't know if this is because they just didn't give enough of anything or their flavors just aren't bold. Nopal was cooked better compared to other places and guac was good.

Go ahead and get the mulita or quesa taco. Definitely can't go wrong with either. Tacos were good too, they put guac and it really completes it. Not sure if they had other salsas but one of the ones they give you are very flavorful. Neither were really spicy. Also couldn't leave without refilling that bomb horchata! They have outdoor seating with umbrellas so you can get a nice breeze without burning up. Parking is a bit tight. Place overall seems clean and well kept. The service was good and the food came out very quickly. Will definitely be back here when I'm on a lunch break and need something quick!

This is my favorite place to come get tacos now! The pork tacos are amazing. They really reminded me of the tacos in Tijuana. I love that everything is cooked fresh and you see them making it. FINALLY! I moved to LB 2 years and FINALLY a delicious authentic taco spot. I hear you guys on price but really the amount of meat in the taco and the flavor alone makes it worth it. Shoutout to our cashier, Estephany it was my bfs first time and she gave him a sample and was beyond friendly. Daniela served our food and cater to our every need. I liked a lot of things about the tacos and mulitas but the bottom line is that for me, the spice level was overpowering and therefore took away from the enjoyment of the well-prepared meat. I'm never compelled to write reviews until I went here tonight. This place popped up on Yelp and I decided to give it a try. The food was amazing. My favorite was the Adobada which is pork slow cooked on a spit roaster. The guy who appeared to be the owner was talking to customers and soliciting feedback and very nice. We just left this great place! Want to especially thank Ty, the young man that took our order. He was professional, friendly and had a great attitude. The food was tasty, the portions were satisfying, and the place itself is super clean. I had the Jamaica tacos and also the steak tacos. I have never loved a place so much in my life. I had just stumbled upon this place and had been craving tacos for a week. This place definitely hit the spot and I have not stopped thinking about it. The environment is warm and welcoming. They were so helpful and even gave samples before I chose which meat I wanted. They even have a vegetarian option (Jamaica, which as seasoned so well). My favorite item I got was the carne fries. The fries were so crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meat was tender and the salsa on top was immaculate. So glad we found this place, even though we showed up close to closing the staff and kitchen was more than happy to serve us. I ordered a Jamaica torta, and my boyfriend ordered an asada taco and adobada torta. I decided to try this place for lunch today. I got 2 pork tacos and 1 beef. I did not really care for the beef but the pork were AMAZING. The only reason I think this place deserves 4 stars was for the order accuracy. I ordered all the tacos with everything and only one came with everything. Also, on of the tacos only had one tortilla while the others had two. And finally, the horchata was ungodly sweet. It was the only horchata I have ever disliked. It tasted very syrupy. I dumped half of it out and added water and almond milk and it tasted much better but still syrupy. That being said, this place still deserves 4 stars for the pork tacos!! They also have incredible customer service and are very nice!! I will definitely be returning!!! read more

They were just awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand award this week for their excellent, affordable food. One thing that I appreciate about their tacos is that their meats have varied textures. The costilla (rib meat) is a crowd pleaser as you get the taste of the grill/charcoal. They have tripe that is crispy with corn nut texture. Cabeza (face meat) has a stewed texture. Unlike most places in LB, there is two hours free parking conveniently located across the street at the Harvey Milk Community Lot. Mas Taco Masa Por Favor These new sterile mex places popping up might be a good thing. I mean, Chipotle, etc., started it and it feels more like a cafeteria. Went twice. Done Well, my Tuesdays in the area became pretty cool thanks to finding Taco Masa. They have two more spots as well. You walk in and bam--that smell of crossing the border at O'dark 30, with the boards and beer in the 70s and 80s when Mex was still Mex. But I digress. That mesquite smell-- I was under the impression open fires in places weren't allowed. After looking around, I saw the beloved stack of mesquite and that deep bed of coals. I knew I had found "it." I was going to get the standard bean burrito sans rice to test the water, but that smell... Then that stacked pork on the turntable--Al Pastor! Ha. I asked for that meat instead of the "pastor," and I think the polite, professional gal tagged me with "gringo." I might have redeemed myself when I asked for some fried serranos inside. What arrived was nothing short of amazing. I felt like I wanted to be on the side of the road in Mex on a dirt street after surfing, but the new sterile vibe was overwhelming for me. She took her time and really understood what I wanted to eat and customized my order to my preference. It sits on the corner with parking in the back. It's nice, it's clean, and the food is really good! We each had the asada a nd adobada tacos. They were bomb on hand made flour tortillas just like a street taco. It came with rice, beans, and sauce. Didn't need the sauce at all though becuz the meat was so tasty as it was. Actually didn't need the rice or beans either. We also had the elote which was very good too. My friend and I stopped by Taco Masa and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. We ordered two mulitas de adobado, two vampiros de asada and pollo, a plate of asada nachos, plus a Jarritos and an horchata. The mulitas and vampiros were definitely the stars -- they came with a generous amount of meat and were packed with flavor. The nachos were also really good; I just wish the cheese had been melted a bit more, but overall they were still delicious. The drinks were refreshing and delicious, definitely leaving me wanting more! The service was another highlight. The workers were very attentive, especially Estephany. She was super friendly, helped us navigate the menu, and even offered samples so we could try things before ordering. She checked on us throughout the meal and made sure we had all the condiments and extras we needed. Overall, great food, great service, and a spot we'll definitely be returning to. Definitely not my first time here and most times I come in I get the same cashier, and she knows I'm a regular so we even will have a conversation while she checks up on guests and comes to me. I like to ask questions just to get to know this place more, like this time I asked her where they got the name tacomasa from, and also how they put the flower of the hibiscus to use cause I seen they put them in tacos? And she's always willing to answer my questions with a smile! Then before leaving I also seen her in the kitchen making tortilla, ( amazing) I'm surprised by her customer service always on point! This time we got 2 orders of fries asada and pork, 2 tacos of each and fried fritters all was SO good and really big portion we always end up taking some to go. And free refills!! Let me tell you. I hate LA traffic, and I NEVER come to Long Beach. Live in Hollywood and it takes a miracle to get me on the 405 after 2pm on a Friday. But ladies and gentlemen, Tacos Masa is WORTH THE TRIP. Let me start with the service. Our cashier, Max, is quite possibly the nicest and most helpful server ever. My girlfriend is vegetarian and she had a ton of questions about the Jamaica they used for their non-meat options. Max was super helpful and so patient- he even gave her multiple samples and told us about his vegetarian friend who always had a hard time finding quality Mexican food. Next is the food. OMG. I ordered the adobada tacos and it was the RIGHT choice. it reminded me of Tijuana tacos- just purely perfect. I will come here multiple times a month. Today was amazing day. Me and my friends went to an escape room, in Long Beach. Our escape room was the Queen Mary. We finished and WON with 13 minutes to spare. #TeamLizzie After winning as first-timers (btw) we were feeling a little hungry, actually starving so we decided to make our way to this place I've never heard before; TacoMasa! There I met the nicest cashier I've ever encountered. Her name was Melanie. Melanie was absolutely amazing, and super helpful with everything, considering it was my first time and I didn't know what to order lol Melanie came up to me and my friends and offered to refill all of our drinks. Taco Mesa is hands down one of the best spots around! Every time I come in, the place is spotless -- you can tell they really care about keeping everything clean and welcoming. I had a great experience at Tacomas in Long Beach! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the food absolutely delivered. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care--definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Jaquelin was incredibly helpful when taking my order. She was patient, friendly, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. My first review will be on Tacomasa. I had came here earlier with my kids to try some authentic tj food since we had just been to tj and we were craving something a like what we had experience from our trip. I got the taco combo. Steak and Pork it was okay the pork could've been a lot more well done but other then that I still did get the feeling that i was back in TJ. My kids loved the quesadillas. Service was really great friendly young man helping us out since it was our first time there. music was playing and it was a bit chilly in the store but other then that my visit was great. read more

i've been here twice. the first time i ordered in store to go and the other time was via doordash. listen this food is fire!!! the first time i ordered a torta and the service was quick and the staff was very kind . when i got home ... mannnnn that torta was probably the best one ive had in a MINUTE. the second time i ordered was via door dash and i ordered a burrito and when i got it my food was cold bc well... doordash. and i was too lazy to heat it up but its a testament to how good the food is at tacomasa because it was still SOOOO delicious lol this is my new fav place ! read more

Recently I went to Tacomasa and I got to say the food there was incredible. Portions are great and the prices are fair. The service was pretty great as well! A girl with glasses by the name of Joscelyn had good attention to detail. Made sure the food was worth buying and was a great person to interact with. As for the space, it had this calm feeling to it; the colors gave it that feeling which also went well with the beach sort of vibe to it. Had I discovered this place earlier, I would have gone to this place whenever I visit Long Beach. Overall, I highly recommend this place! read more

First time coming here on a date to try something new. Was taken care of by the assistant manager Christian. He made some great recommendations for my date and I. We told him it was our first time here and he did not let us down. Food was tasteful, didn't have to wait long, drinks were good. Pretty much checked off all our of boxes. He checked in with us about everything and he did not disappoint! Wasn't til later on we found out it was only his first day! Will definitely be back just because of his hospitality! This is one of the best place for tacos de tripa. I've tried many places in east LA, downtown LA , pretty much any where in LA, where they sell tripa; I've tried them all. This is the best out of all of them. Get them extra crispy .. you won't regret it. the service was amazing. I had a bad experience at the el segundo location. They went out there way to make up for my experience and that kind of service can't be beat. Amazing management, amazing people who work here. Thank you so much .
