I came here for the first time to try their original breakfast burrito. I split an order with my boyfriend. The size was on the smaller side compared to other breakfast burritos I've had. It was $13.99 plus tax, which I thought was a bit pricey for the size of the burrito. The burrito had cubes of ham, bacon, hash browns, peppers, and cheese. The bacon was in tiny pieces, almost like bacon bits. I wish it had more meat. The burrito itself was tasty and the salsa was good. They also have banana ketchup on the counter for self serve. I love banana ketchup, so I tried some with the burrito and it was actually pretty good together. Customer service was good. However, due to the price and size of the burrito, I can't see myself frequenting this place. read more

I pass by this place offend when I am going to another place for breakfast on 4th & Grand. But today, I wanted to try somewhere new and a quick place to pick up a burrito. So I drove over to try this place out. I had their Breakfast burrito. The two people there who greeted me were super friendly. I believe this is a family owned business. Right/ I had their breakfast burrito. I like it. Big! more than I needed. But it was a good tasting burrito. Big chunks of ham, if you like ham. Not sure I tasted the bacon. Stopped here on my way to an event at the Long Beach Arena. I've seen this place many times before but never got a chance to drop by. Glad I did. The menu is simple, one for Breakfast and one for lunch. The interior was decently clean and exterior as well. No restrooms unfortunately, although I understand since there are many homeless in the area. Staff was friendly and professional. Really loved that everything was handmade as soon as you order, nothing was already pre-made. Even the orange juice is freshly squeezed. Definitely have to come back, I recommend this spot to anyone who is going towards the waterfront at Long Beach if you haven't had breakfast. read more

What a solid place to get a breakfast burrito. I will say I'm so used to my BIG BREAKFAST BURRITOS but this one here.... It's still filling and has tons of flavor! I was next door doing laundry and decided to walk over and try this place out, I know it's been open for a while but to me it's new :) I was immediately greeted by Forest.... Like Forest Gump. Forest was a cool man and literally introduced himself that way lol I shortly glanced at the menu and made my selection on the double meat burrito, I asked forest if that's a good choice and he completely agreed and said I won't be disappointed. I'm just minutes I was walking out with a hot freshly made burrito with a couple of there salsas in a brown paper bag to go. I was totally impressed on the flavors of this breakfast burrito, it was a perfectly salted and full of meats...just how I like it. I will say the size seems to be smaller then other breakfast burritos I've had but once I was done I was full... so don't let the size fool you ;) I will be retuning to try something different off the menu. It's located in a plaza with tons of parking so no need to worry about that. Also there is NO seating so grab and go is ideal. If you're in the area I highly recommend you check them out. Enjoy! I'm a breakfast burrito kind of person plain and simple. If I'm out and you ask me what I feel like having for breakfast 99% of the time I'll say breakfast burrito. Now Ham n Scram is a place I pass by somewhat often and always tell myself I'm going to give it a try. Well I finally did I was out with my partner and our pups and figure after our morning walk it's breakfast burrito time. I walked in trying to decide what to get but the Original breakfast burrito just made sense with everything it had in it. Its not the biggest burrito but it's a good tasting burrito. The price was a little eh. I think with tax it put me around $15 just for the burrito. The place is spotless very clean and well kept, menu has pretty much all the prices removed which I don't like. Just be upfront with your pricing regardless of the cost. There is no seating so it's a grab and go kind of place, parking is plentiful. Would I come back... Hmmm.. it was a good tasting burrito but for the price I can go elsewhere (not naming the competition because I don't think it's right too) and get a good breakfast burrito for half the price less than a couple miles away. Stopped by here on Monday morning and it did not dissatisfied. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the two friendliest employees. We ordered two of the original breakfast burritos split in half. They ordered to wrap the halves separately, which was great. Placed a pickup order and the service was quick and super friendly when I picked up my order. Tried the Original Breakfast Burrito and the Double Meat Burrito. Both were super good and you can tell that they use high quality meat. The salsa was also amazing and completed the burritos (not spicy at all). I also really appreciated that you can ask them to cut the burrito in half and wrap separately because I can never finish breakfast burritos in one go, so now I can finish an unopened half burrito as a snack later! read more

Huge fan of this spot, probably my favorite breakfast burrito in Long Beach. As good as the burrito is on its own, the salsa puts it on another level. I go with The Original Breakfast Burrito every visit and honestly I don't feel the need to go with another menu item because why mess with a good thing? And although you'll catch me here when I'm having a breakfast burrito craving, I often come here for their ham bones! I'm big on making legume-based soups and using ham bones take my soup to another level! My fur child is a big fan of the meat from these bones too. All the employees here, from the college kids to the owner himself are so nice and helpful and their service definitely solidifies this as a five-star review. This location is small and doesn't provide dine in seating, so definitely be prepared for a takeout order but there's a great park near by if you need a place to eat. read more

This is a very solid option for anyone who wants an American omelette or scramble on the go! Let me start with the service because I truly don't think I've ever gotten faster service anywhere other than a fast food restaurant! It probably only took 3-4 minutes for them to make my burrito! The young men were both very nice and friendly. The burrito itself was a good size, and definitely worth the $13 price! The ham itself is really really delicious, there's a reason it's in their name! Unfortunately the cheese didn't melt all the way, which would have taken this burrito up a notch. They also have shredded potatoes in there which are good, but could use more texture. I also didn't think the salsa it was served with really complemented the burrito, but they have other options you can choose from! Overall, I see why this is a really popular spot! I love that it's family owned and has great costumer service. I was eating on the go, so I didn't take note of there is any seating inside, but I don't think there is. I was driving from one work location to another and deciding what to get for breakfast/lunch, I see Ham n Scram! I've seen other locations before but never went in. I love a good breakfast burrito, I definitely consider myself a connoisseur of the breakfast burrito variety. The prices are reasonable, store was very clean, staff was attentive and friendly, I like the variety of hot sauces. Let's get into this burrito! It came out very quickly and piping hot! I've been coming here every week on Wednesday mornings, as that's my only free morning during the weekdays, and honestly I don't see myself stopping for anyone. I remember when this place opened for the first time last year (?) and I got super excited from their cutesy logo. I passed by 7th every day looking over, eagerly awaiting it's opening. And then their doors opened. I've tried pretty much everything here except for a few lunch sandwiches, and I can honestly recommend everything they have, especially their breakfast options. Their specialty is ham, not the boring deli kind, the actual spiral ham kind of ham, so you're in for good ham when you order it. The toast that comes with their breakfast is sooo soft. And the bread on their sandwiches is soooo soft. I don't know how to achieve this softness. If you order coffee, you get it in a coca cola cup. I feel like I'm in a diner. The staff are amazing. The aura is nice. They're super nice and super attentive people that I could honestly go fishing with long-term and yap about life. If you want food, come here. 10/10 recommend. read more

One of the best breakfast burrito's around. Although the menu had several items in contention, I had to go with the breakfast burrito...the item that seems to get this place so much buzzzzzz. It didn't disappoint! I decided to get double meat and it was perfectly balanced with all other ingredients. It was so filling, I ate half and saved the other half for the next morning. Best of all, they don't skimp on salsa. I'll repeat, they don't skimp on salsa! Although flavor was on point, the salsa is refreshing & mild. They provided 2 containers. OK, I have seen this place for a long time and even popped in to check it out but never ate anything... Until today. Returning home after some errands this morning, I didn't feel like cooking myself breakfast so I dropped into ham 'n scram. The place is very tidy, nice big menu, people are very pleasant. I ordered a very simple ham, bacon egg and cheese on English muffin. OK, now I make this dish several times a week... But by God, they do it better! I can't tell you exactly what was so tasty, but the ham and bacon were at the next level, a more sophisticated version of what I normally eat. Admittedly, I gobbled it down in just a few minutes, it was almost indescribably good. These people know what they are doing, and I trust them to provide delicious food to our local neighborhood, so I will totally promote them. Interestingly, they also sell whole hands, half hands and even frozen bones which I'm totally going to buy and make some split pea soup. Pretty solid breakfast burrito with generous fillings. We ordered The Original which was meaty to begin with, I don't think you'd need to order the double meat option. The portions are a decent size, I could only finish 3 quarters until I was too full, and each burrito comes with a side of salsa. I wish the salsa had a little bit more flavor but it does have a little kick to it, which I liked. Top 5 breakfast burrito in la/oc. I wasn't ready given how boring the signage is . It's not fancy or unique but literally the best breakfast burrito package. If you're a breakfast burrito person you NEED to get this. Service is solid and ambiance is basically what you expect. Side note: the salsa is the only weak part. Guy told me on the way out, "Don't come back until you're hungry again. But, don't come back tomorrow, we'll be closed for Christmas." Cheerful and welcoming. I'm always happy to support businesses where you feel like family like that. I loved the smokey taste of the ham and the green chilies that mixed with the egg and cheese beautifully. I guess the only reason this wouldn't be my go-to breakfast burrito place would be you'd better like ham, because that's the only meat option (for good reason, that is the namesake after all). I normally get bacon or sausage, so the ham would get old after a while, but that is my only negative. The salsa is also pretty mild. Could use some heat to make it worthwhile. One of the best, if not the best, ham and egg breakfast sandwich in the LBC. I came here on a Sunday around 1030 AM for a post golf pick-me-up and was out of here by 1040 with 2 ham sandwiches- to go. This place is their 2nd establishment - the first location is in Westminster and both are serving delicious food with ham. If you're a fan of ham, then you have to try this place out. It has a take-out style counter, with no chairs or tables to sit down and eat, but plenty of room to order and wait the short amount of time for your freshly made, delicious food. I got the breakfast sandwich sans bacon on sourdough bread with the avocado spread - it was so delicious and hit the spot perfectly to refuel me after 18 holes first thing in the morning. I wasn't a huge fan of the avocado spread - I didn't like how it complimented the sandwich, but I would try it again in their breakfast burrito or another sandwich. My stepdad got their cold ham sandwich with cheddar cheese on sourdough bread and he was a HUGE fan of the shaved ham, fresh, crisp lettuce, and the sandwich, overall. I remember loving their burritos and glad to find they opened a location in Long Beach. 10 years later, the burrito is still amazing! I don't even like ham.
