I love La Taqueria Brand! I first found this spot when ordering on Door Dash and eventually made my way over here. Parking isn't so bad, just turn down Nebraska and you'll find street parking or the parking lot. Food is always fresh and DELICIOUS, so good! They also have vegan options which is a plus! My favorite items are their shrimp and potato tacos with sauce. Two crispy tacos de papa with delicious shrimp drenched in their salsa huevona. Their Baja Fish tacos are fresh and savory too. They also have aguas frescas and the portions are so generous. Every time I've been here the service is amazing, even when calling by phone they're always professional and polite! Service is A+! Vanessa always goes above and beyond in service and making recommendations for their most popular dishes. She's so friendly and hospitable. The gentlemen in the kitchen work hard to serve up delicious food quickly. Last but not least, I love dining in. They're always playing good Mexican music and currently showing the FIFA World Cup games on their TV. They have an outdoor patio as well if you want to take your meal outside. Love this place! Came for a breakfast burrito and Vanessa is so amazing, she helped me find the perfect burrito! I went with the delicious bacon, the moment I took that first bite I was HOOKED. Loved all of their salsa's too. I took advantage of their patio, it was a beautiful day to enjoy outside and read my book. Their coffee is DELICIOUS too, definitely recommended. All in all absolutely come here for one of the best breakfast burritos in Long Beach. I'm gonna be yapping to everyone about this place and you MUST VISIT!!! read more

It's the real deal, with interesting options on the menu and lengua as a possible choice for the tacos. Their burritos were also unique and distinctively cheesy. I'll have to try their breakfast offerings next time. The horchata cost $6, but it came with a single humongous size. It was a bit on the sweet side, but it's creamy and fragrant. On my way to Rosie's Dog Beach, I got hungry and decided to stop by La Taqueria Brand for some tacos. The menu wasn't overwhelming, but there was still plenty to choose from. I asked the hostess for her favorite, and she recommended the seafood burrito -- and wow, I'm glad she did! It was packed with shrimp and what seemed like a fresh vegetable slaw, all wrapped up perfectly with a flavorful red sauce. It was delicious -- super satisfying and full of flavor. I'd definitely get it again. My friend had some tacos and enjoyed them as well. I wish I had taken pictures, but by the time I thought of it, the burrito was already gone! They also had a great selection of Aguas Frescas drinks. I went with pineapple, but they had unique flavors I hadn't seen before -- all of them looked amazing. I'll definitely be trying another one next time I'm in the area. read more

Contains two separate reviews. 1. DoorDash experience. 3/5 See review below. 2. Inside Restaurant experience. 9/10 stars. See review at the beginning. Thursday was my first visit to La Taqueria it was my birthday my daughter and I had dinner at the Mexican restaurant next door the food was awful we paid and went next door to La Taqueria. This restaurant is situated on a very busy street with limited parking it's nothing fancy just a nice clean restaurant with a mom and pop feel. The staff is youngish and nice the young lady let us know that they have a free salsa bar on the side for our food now that's awesome service. . I ordered street tacos Carnita and Carne Asada with onions and cilantro Chips and Guacamole. Carnita Taco A small double corn tortilla filled taco with onions and cilantro the meat was tender and juicy I drizzled on green guacamole salsa and tomatillo salsa and that made it was delicious. 10/10 Carne Asada This taco was soo bomb filled with tender meat grilled and seasoned well the red salsa and spicy salsa kicked it up ten notches. 10/10 Guacamole & Chips Nice and creamy guacamole but needed more flavor salt and lime the over cooked chips were just ok. 7/10 Salsa Bar We tried every salsa they offered from mild to spicy including pickled jalapenos and carrots they all were so bomb. I definitely will come back to the restaurant. ------------------------------------ DoorDash Order. The order arrived cold and the place is not that far but whatever the tortillas were a bit soft and soggy. I ordered a Canajillo Shrimp Taco and 3 Tijuana Tacos dinner carne asada, chicken and carnita. Carnita Taco Dressed with onions cilantro beans and guacamole this taco was soggy the guacamole was in need of seasoning and the carnita was ok with too much guacamole. 6/10 Chicken Taco Grilled chicken guacamole beans cilantro and onions it was a bland soggy taco with way too much guacamole. 5/10 Carne Asada This one was tasty with guacamole onions and cilantro I picked out the beans they were ok it just tasted best without them - the shell was a bit soggy and again there was too much guacamole. 7/10 Canajillo Shrimp Taco This shell was fried with cheese grilled shrimp cabbage pico de gallo and a creamy sauce it sounded good but it wasn't it was awful fell apart fast and I tossed it. 4/10 To be fair in the restaurant I had no issues I feel that some foods just don't transport well and now I know not to order saucy tacos or anything fried. My final thoughts. DoorDash is way too expensive and the restaurant has the nerve to charge high service fees more importantly they forgot a few things off my order that I paid for.. I know DoorDash will refund me but it's not that serious I just won't use them anymore. I'ts a strong no to DoorDash and yes to an in house visit at the restaurant. Just me Shawn C. read more

I stopped by Taqueria La Brand for the first time today, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The meat quality stood out right away, and the flavor took me back to those late-night street taco stands after a night out except this time it hit just as good during a work lunch One thing that deserves a shoutout is their salsa bar. Seriously solid. They've got something for everyone, from a classic tomatillo salsa to a creamy habanero that brings some real heat. And the frijoles de la hoya on deck? That's a classic touch. I'm the type that loads beans all over my tacos, so that sealed the deal for me. I went with a mulita (asada) and an al pastor taco. Once I added all the fixings, it turned into one of those lunches that just hits right and makes the trip totally worth it. Also, I've got to mention the staff--super kind, attentive, and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Definitely coming back. read more

Truly one of the best taco shops in Los Angeles county that I've had. Located in Long Beach off 7th street. Kinda limited parking is the only negative if you come late but the food is so good that one negative doesn't hurt it. Tried the quesataco, tried the CAPIROTADA aka Mexican bread pudding, tried the Jamaica guava drink, tried the Cali fries tried a mulita, everything was delicious. Wasn't too expensive for a dinner for 2 and left us filled up and with leftovers. Definitely recommend trying this spot. read more

This is our first time trying this place. Cashier Sergio is very welcoming & very nice. There is a lot of seating inside and outside. We ordered 2 birra tacos & 1 carnitas vampiro. This specifically is my favorite location because it just feels local and more like a mom and pop spot. The staff is always nice and helpful and they freshly prepare the food fast! I was craving birria tonight. So, I went with my wife to La Taqueria Brand, 'cause they're the best. First off, when you walk in, you're hit by the yummy scents. Mayte and the rest of the team were friendly and outgoing as always. I usually go for the traditional birria street tacos, but today I wanted to try something different and went for 3 birria quesatacos. The birria and corn tortillas, together with the cheese, cilantro, onions, and consume broth made my mouth water like crazy. When I took my my first bite, I was overwhelmed by the oozy cheezy goodness. The horchata l ordered really rounded out the meal. I'm still enjoying my dinner as I reflect on it while I write this. Hello Morgan, yes, corn tortillas are available plus they were very accommodating to my soy, garlic, and sesame seed allergens. Everything is made to order as well.

Are the rice, beans, and flour tortillas vegan? I asked in person and was told these are not vegan and are made with lard/stock even when ordered with vegan proteins.

The toasted rice powder was definitely apparent as every Larb dish should have. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order. Definitely fusion of authentic with a modernized American feel. Cocktails were excellent and recommend their Tamarind Spicy drink, don't remember the name but it was so good. Unfortunately no photos cause we weee hungry and just cleared out the food as it came out. Service is straight forward. We got what we needed with a bit wait due to the fact the place is BUSY!

The patio itself was beautiful and I did enjoy the ambience, besides having flies constantly in your food. The pricing here... insane. If the food was melt in your mouth good, I could easily justify, but for 1 salad, 1 order of bread and an 1 entree and tip, the total should not have been $90. The small Mexican coke was $6... that's insane. I can appreciate that they are locally sourcing food and I would hope they are paying their employees well, and everyone so taken care of. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. I would hope for a $22 salad, I would have liked to have a little bit more. I think there is an illusion that the salad is big based on the fact that the lettuce is not cut and they put an absorbent amount of cheese on top. (Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, but they did not give a chance for the dressing to stand on its own) The bread and butter were the only thing I will say was good. Solid 7/10. I think if they added garlic and pepper into dipping oil, it was elevate this a bit. The fact that this is served warm definitely adds to the taste. The "fresh" made gnocchi is house.. was not good. This dish was a ricotta gnocchi. For nearly $30, this was the smallest plate of pasta I have ever gotten. I continued to look around and everyone got extremely small portions of pasta. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.

Meatballs and salads came out within minutes. Meatballs was great, not too hot. I took one bite of the salad and it was fresh. Beer was cold and tasty. Pizza came in no time, hot like a pie. When I fold the pizza in half it made that sweet crunchy sound that only real pizza lovers know. The taste was delicious, good blend of pepperoni, mushroom and cheese.
