This is a chain Mexican restaurant that I've seen but never eaten here before. This location is in the lobby of the Empire State Building I believe. I used the street entrance and it was off time so it wasn't busy. Awesome vibe and decor here. There's and old school diner counter you can sit at or they have regular tables and high counter seating. The food was delicious. I wish I had tried them sooner. The street corn was very good and you can get it with the sauce and everything on the side as well. I'll definitely be back.

On a recent visit to NYC I stopped in for lunch. While here I had the following: Esquites-creamy and savory. Very delish dish. Sinaloa shrimp taco-shrimp were cooked perfectly. Nicely sized. Carne asada-meat was juicy. Nicely seasoned and well prepared. All tacos can with one soft corn shell. So glad they weren't doubled. Pineapple soda-refreshing cap on my meal. While here I say at the bar. Service was great. The vibe was giving old school diner. Would definitely visit again!

A huge mexican restaurant located very conveniently near 34th street subway station & 33rd street path station. Casual ambience, open kitchen and ultrafast service. An extremely reasonable and on point price for Mexican food in Manhattan without compromising any sort of quality on ingredients. I ordered the bean and sweet potato taco & avocado toasta. My default order at any Mexican restaurant is corn esquites, which I thoroughly enjoyed here at tacombi. My favorite was the avacado toastada. Their salsa was just something that you could add as a condiment to everything you eat !

This spot is always enthusiastically recommended to me and I finally got to experience why! Such a reliable and delicious taco joint and if I had more room in my stomach I would order more! I went with the Birria, Al Pastor, Sinaloa Shrimp, and a side of esquites. I loved the texture of the tortillas and each taco was full of flavor. Not much to say other than I absolutely loved it and need to come back to try some other flavors!

Tacooooo Tuesday is always a good idea! Every Tacombi location has BOGO tacos & $9 Happy Hour prices on select drinks on Tuesdays. For 6 tacos & 2 drinks our bill came up to ~$40 before tax. You can't beat this price considering that the food was actually yummy and came out fairly quickly. We got to try a nice mix but our top 2 would definitely be the Birria and the Fried Fish tacos. The Spicy Poblano Margarita and the Class Margarita (with watermelon) were very tasty and strong enough. The servers were kind and attentive. I will definitely be returning!

Tacombi always hits the spot. Their Flatiron location was near my old office and we used to go for lunch at least once a month. This location is absolutely perfect for some drinks and food before an event at MSG. Especially since food and drink prices at MSG are astronomical. Everything is fairly priced, service is speedy and drinks are strong! Their guac is a must order and the tortilla chips are salty and oily perfection. You can order single tacos, and 2-3 with guac is perfect for a meal. The baja crispy fish and al pastor are my faveees. For drinks, my husband loves their margs and I'm partial to the paloma. Only hits, never misses. Until next time, Tacombi!

Have gone here many times over the years because it's just so convenient and reliable when you are out shopping in midtown. They have a Bogo deal on Taco Tuesday, which is a big plus. However, the service is pretty inconsistent. Every time I come here, I always have to ask for the water, salsa, etc. But it could just be the fact that the restaurant is never fully busy and the seating area is so large. My favorite tacos are the Birria and the Baja Fish. The burrito is also a reliable standby. Best for: post shopping casual meal, groups, taco Tuesday

I came for the Taco Tuesday special ( bogo) and it was definitely worth it! I ordered one Baja fish taco and one rib eye as well as a cup of delicious corn which I highly recommend. The tacos were fresh and delicious and if you're really hungry I'd order 3 tacos minimum and corn or chips that should hold you over ! The atmosphere is fun and festive and the service is excellent for sure I would highly recommend visiting this location and enjoy a delicious meal

This has got to be my favorite location out of the 4 that I've tried around Manhattan and BK. It's spacious, lots of seating, has a nice bar seating, and lots of windows. Pro-tip: Taco Tuesdays are 2 for 1 on the regular tacos for dine-in only. I love the Baja fish taco and enjoyed every last morsel of the cabbage, sauce, and tortilla. It's just soo good! Happy and feeling lucky that I work in the same building.

Ate in 2022: The food was alright, I just felt like the flavors weren't that authentic and was kind of bland.

def come here on tuesdays! service was friendly, even though i came 40 minutes before closing :)

Their new birria burrito was delicious! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. Placed the orders wuickly and food was also served pretty fast. Some bits of the meat may be fattier than others, so it will be random, but burrito came with peppers and onions, on the mild side, wasn't that spicy to me. The salsas went well with the burrito. Didn't think the burrito needed the consume since it was so flavorful on its own. Consume was very concentrated and on the salty side, definitely not a sipping type of soup.

Tacombi is always a reliable go-to for tacos when I visit NYC! On my most recent visit, Juan was amazing at the bar and prepared a delicious cocktail. His friendly attitude and generosity made my day! The dining room is clean with plenty of seating. Each meal I've gotten has been prompt, piping hot and full of flavor (even when it is take out). The black bean and sweet potato tacos are my most recent order and were fantastic!!! I always get an Al Pastor Taco too because I love the pairing of the roasted pork and pineapple. If you get a chance, check out their Taco Tuesday specials! They will satisfy your taco cravings.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
