I have visited Tacos 4 Life a few times since they have opened and while my first visit was a bit of a miss, the other visits have been way better in terms of customer service and food. I like that this is a mother fast casual option so you can order at the counter and then they will bring the food to you when it's ready. They have a self service station for drinks (no alcohol). I wish I would have taken a picture of the tacos I ordered during my first visit, but I definitely forgot. I ordered a shrimp taco and while I was nervous that it would be small, it as actually a nice size and very filling. Was it a bit spicy? Yes. But I powered through because the flavors were good. The cilantro rice was also so good as a side and I loved the street corn, it was so creamy and delicious. My main pick when I visit now is the half southwest rice bowl with grilled chicken. It is the right portion size and has all the things I love in the rice bowl. I forgot to add avocado/guac on this last visit, but that's usually a good thing to add on top or to the side. The menu is large with lots of selections. We got the dip trio with guacamole, salsa and queso. All decent! Could use some seasoning, salt pepper lime, but all edible and chips were good also. The staff was helpful, We both ordered two tacos and they came out fairly quickly I had chicken fajita and mahi-mahi. Both had a good sauce and seasoning. A little too much avocado on one, we love multi texture so the cabbage was better, but overall decent! I'm more of a street taco regular but these were filling and the tortillas were soft . I visited the restaurant for the first time on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. It was big, well lit, clean, and I loved the mission statement of feeding hungry children. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Taco, Chicken Bacon Ranch Taco, a Chipotle Steak Taco, and Chips and Queso. I received my food in less than 10 minutes...fast and prompt. The tacos were nicely filled but the meats were fairly tasteless. The saving grace were the sauces provided. Also, the soft fluffy shells crumbled as I began to eat them. As far as the queso, I didn't really care for the taste. It was something off about it that I can't put my finger on. Keep seeing this place so we decided to check it out. It had a good amount of parking and is pretty large. There is also a nice covered patio. The menu has a good variety of tacos, burritos, nachos and dips. Went here with my husband on Saturday night. No parking issues. Walked up to the counter and ordered. We both got the 2 taco combo, which comes with 2 tacos, a side and a drink. We also got the 3 dip combo. Dip was good, salsa needed a little more spice though. Tacos were big and tasty and so was the corn. Food came out quickly! So services was great too! I will def go back! read more

I've had Tacos 4 Life out in O'Fallon where my sister lives and I was...less than impressed. The food just felt bland and overpriced for what you got. BUT we drive by this location all the time and my husband has had it on his radar so we finally decided to grab it to go and take it to the Muny. My experience at this location was way different. Which is surprising because usually service and quality is better in the county! But, I digress. The service was so sweet, the gal that checked us out was so nice. Our food was made pretty quickly and they made sure cutlery was included. The food had way more flavor. I got a bowl and it was great, WAYYY too much food, they give you enough for two meals! I am blown away by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff! I visited on a Thursday evening at around 6:00 PM. I knew I'd want to take a nice peruse at their menu, so I placed my order on their website for pickup. I was able to make customizations easily and get a good look at all of their menu items. When I arrived at the estimated pickup time, my order was not quite ready, but I didn't mind waiting! Totally understandable, especially since I visited on one of their first days of being open and everyone was seemingly still receiving training. The interior is so trendy, bright, and welcoming. Such good vibes! I enjoyed reading about their meal for a meal mission and background. At one point, a staff member came out from the kitchen and asked about one of the customizations I made to my order just to make sure everything would be prepared correctly, which I really appreciated! My partner and I wanted to go all out and try a little bit of everything from their menu. I tried their paradise punch, which was very refreshing. I also had one of their chicken tacos and a ground beef taco. My partner had a burrito. The burrito was a nice size and tasted delicious. The tacos weren't necessarily anything super memorable, but if you're craving tacos, they'll totally hit the spot. I especially liked my taco that came with the puffy shell. Additionally, we tried their side of cilantro pesto rice. I've never had anything like it! There wasn't quite enough pesto given the rice-to-sauce ratio, but it was very unique and flavorful. Lastly, we tried their cookies for dessert - one chocolate chip and one snickerdoodle. They were very small, but not bad for $1! I will definitely be back! I love their mission and customer service. First time visiting this location. Right a the corner under the Element Hotel across the street from City Foundry. You order your food before taking your seat with a decent sized menu there's a lot to choice from. Plenty of seating free refills on ALL their drinks. I ordered the Steak Burrito, and Koran BBQ Steak, Chipotle Steak taco Combo. While my wife had the steak quesadilla and shrimp taco now I would like to state you can smell this place from the steak so I had high expectations out the gate. I left dinner here completely full in my stomach and heart! These tacos are incredible, what an great variety of flavorful options for tacos and sides. The Carnitas, Fajitas, and Mahi Mahi tacos are drowning in flavor, but clean enough to eat without a mess. And the sides, we only got to experience the Mexican creamed corn and queso rice, but I'm keen to try the cilantro pesto rice. The whole place was clean, like so clean I thought it was brand new, but no, to it's just well cared for. And the staff, daaaaang, they were all incredibly welcoming and attentive, to but not overbearing. But knowing that my dinner options are part of supporting a greater cause and having an immediate impact on real need in this world, let me just say that so many delicious tacos are in my future. The food was terrible. I'm not sure what people rave about- maybe I went on an off day, but the chicken was clearly at least a day old, was very dry, and was turning grey. I had ordered nachos, and there were barely enough toppings to cover the top of the chips, and nothing throughout the pile of chips- just dry chips. I made a video because it was so bad. My daughter ordered a beef taco- it was mostly gristle and fat. The only positive thing I can mention is that they gave me my money back. We had to throw the food away; which I hate doing. read more

We stayed at the element hotel and the partnership between the hotel and restaurant drew us in. The food was fantastic (chicken bacon ranch quesadilla and spicy chorizo tacos along with a side of Mexican creamy corn). Enough to have a to go box for both of us. I remember eating T4L back in Arkansas for many years and was so excited t see them open some places in St. Louis. Tacos 4 Life is absolutely top tier in terms of friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and then you sit down to eat your food and are blown away by the quality. I love to get their rotating specialties (I haven't been disappointed a single time) or the steak/k-bbq tacos. As a heads up, these are fusion tacos, and you really only need 2-3 for a full meal. As a pro tip, get the creamed corn as a side and thank me later. The restaurant itself has a modern vibe to it, and they really lean in to their charity work.
