I was honestly surprised to find good Mexican food in St. Louis, but here we are writing a grand review for La Crazy Margarita. So let's start there, their pina colada margarita was absolutely phenomenal. It quenched thirst I didn't even realize I had. Had it not been 11am, I would've knocked back a few! I had the lunch special that included a hard shell taco and enchilada and both were delicious. The hard shell taco was quite authentic for being hard shell and the flavor profiles reminded me of my aunt's cooking when I was little. The salsa isn't too spicy which I appreciated. It's a big place with colorful murals and lights. Service was attentive and friendly.

Ordered the steak fajitas, a double, the meat was so overcooked. It took a really long time to get our food. Service was nice but for $28 it was no where near the quality. Will not be coming back.

(Ordered delivery) The food here is Mexican food as you would expect it to be! It's good, flavorful, and comforting. The prices are also extremely reasonable for the portion size. I tried the Burritos Verdes with chicken, and I really enjoyed. The refried beans were rich and delicious, and the burritos, while simple, were filling and flavorful. I will say that the chicken inside could have used a bit more moisture, perhaps sauce, as it was all that was inside, but it had a good spice to it and the verde sauce made the tortillas really soft (which I tend to like). My friend got the arroz con pollo and the portion size was really large, though it did look a bit dry and lacking in cheese.

I came here for some food after Kenny's Upstairs- it's a great spot to stop in at! I came around 8ish on a Saturday night and they were slammed. The staff was hustling, and we waited a couple of minutes for a table which is okay- we understood they were trying their best! We were seated towards the back, and I noticed all of the fun drinks around when we were being seated. Lots of room and tables, they even have a big back room which I feel like would be good for big groups. I ended up ordering a watermelon margarita and a chicken quesadilla. The margarita was good, it was definitely on the more super sweet side. My quesadilla was super good- what's not to love about chicken, cheese, and a tortilla. Chips were fresh and so was the salsa. I will be back for sure!

Grab you a on the rocks or a frozen margarita here at La Crazy Margarita! The bartenders keep your drinks full & serve strong margs! Clean atmosphere, nice people & good music. We ordered just a small bite of the friend shrimp & they were delicious, served with a sweet & sour sauce. Yum.

Local Mexican Restaurant for the South Grand neighborhood. As soon as you step in, you're greeted with over the top bright colors and a Mexican restaurant vibe. What a great atmosphere. We took a seat at the bar. The menu offers a twist on traditional Tex-Mex cuisine. From the moment our warm and fresh chips arrived at the table, we began getting entertained by the bartenders. The fried shrimp appetizer was a standout, perfectly cooked. Such a great snack. Loved it!

To Know Me, Is To Know How Much I LOVE authentic mexican cuisine!!!! My expectation is that every restaurant on South Grand is to serve immaculate food with exceptional service, and La Crazy Margarita is no exception to that rule. I should've known when my server had the same name as my cousin, that it was gonna be an experience ... this fun (what seems to be) family-run restaurant has an extensive menu and a fun drink special each week. Food is served hot and fast... with all the flavor needed to send you home with the itis. LCM, thank you for giving south grand the mexican spot it needed so close to my home!!!

Had a wonderful experience at La Crazy Margarita. The restaurant is decorated with lots of bright colors. I went for my birthday and they were able to quickly seat 7 of us. They provided chips and salsa for the table, which were yummy. Five of us ordered the Crazy Margarita which was fun, brightly colored and packed with flavor. You get to choose two different frozen flavors for your margarita and it comes adorned with fruit and tajin on the rim. Highly recommend getting mango and raspberry together. Overall, had a great experience and would go again.

First time eating in and sat at the bar. Previously ordered through Doordash. I had the Spinach Quesadilla both times. It's so good. I will be back to try other Vegetarian options. It's great they have multiple options for non meat eaters. I also had the Skinny Marg. My boyfriend had Shrimp tacos and the regular Margarita. We preferred the Skinny but they were both great. The Margarita prices were very good, quite cheap for a margarita especially for the size. The decor was fun and colorful. Service was good. Bartender was attentive and welcoming. Lastly, the chips and salsa was some of the best. Chips were fresh and warm! Highly recommend La Crazy!

Had a great lunch at La Crazy Margarita today! Such friendly and helpful staff. Our food came out ver quickly and was fresh and delicious. This area of Grand is great for food, and La Crazy Margarita is a fun addition to the area. They have bright and colorful decor with a Tex mex flair. This is a busy area so parking can be a bit tricky but if you're patient you'll find something! The prices, especially for lunch, are incredibly reasonable especially considering the quality.

We still love this place! I'm not sure how many times we've been here over the past few years, but…read morewe've never had a negative experience here. My husband and I have been here a number of times, we've brought our (adult) daughters and their partners, out of town visitors, and we've recommended it to friends. Some of our friends went on our recommendation and enjoyed it. Again, I have to say that we love the vibe, the staff, and the food - probably equally! We sat out on the covered patio last night. It was pretty hot out, but the cover and the fans made it feel okay out there. We ran into neighbors as we were leaving. It's about 35 minutes from our house and we have never seen anyone we know there. They were enjoying it as well! The only negative I can think of is the restroom situation. There is one restroom with one toilet - plan ahead! There's usually a line. We'll definitely be back!

It's not authentic guac with chunks of guac, instead it was creamy and didn't have a clumps of avocado or flavor. It was more of a blended consistency with just a smashed avocado flavor. The chips were awesome! I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos. The first one that was brought to the table was fried so well done the fish inside was rubbery and dry, and the outer coating was black. My waiter apologized, visually confirmed that the dish was not right, took the dish and 5-10 minutes later brought out the same dish, assuming this one would be better. It wasn't. The fish was overwhelmingly fishy smelling, dry and overall, I felt like I would've had a better meal at McDonalds ordering their Filet o' fish. Ugh! The waiter took the one bite eaten from the taco dish and removed it from the ticket. He asked if he could bring me something else, but so much time had passed between the last 2 mix-ups that for me to order anything to replace the meal, my party would've left me at the table so I just had chips for dinner. Where I see an issue, is one would think a manager would've come over apologizing, or something. Yet, I felt like the bad guy sent to her room with no dinner. When the bill came, the waiter, what I feel like intentionally put the bill directly in front of another person from our party rather than in the center of the table. Probably because that person loved his meal... A person in my party got the 3 taco dinner- only ate one taco. Packaged up the other two tacos. I paid, tipped 20% assuming it wasn't the waiter's fault. And we walked out. We got to the front door, the person in my party that had boxed up the 2 tacos realized she left her box at the table, turned around 1-2 minutes after leaving, went back to the table and our waiter said he threw away the box! It wasn't busy ... I understand wanting to clean a table, but there should be some protocol of if this happens, maybe the bussers have x number of minutes before they throw away a meal that someone intentionally boxed up to take home. So -2 stars- I won't go back but if you try this place you might get something delish. My hope is you fall on the positive side of these reviews.

Walking up to the entry gives you vacation vibes from The decor, tropical plants and modern aesthetics. Service was 10/10. All the staff we encountered were so friendly. They came by to check on us, and even the owner/manager came out to check in and make sure everything was good. The tacos were absolutely delicious, seasoned well and every ingredient was FRESH. I ordered the Galveston, and the Baja, and my mom ordered the del Rio and the Biloxi, and we shared a trifecta appetiser.. The queso and guacamole and salsa were some of the best ones I've had. This location was very close to where we were. It was the perfect time to try it! Ambiance: I really love the esthetics of the restaurant. The floral arrangements in the front is very inviting and added a great touch. I also loved the covered outdoor seating areas available, along with the indoor option. We surprisingly opted to sit outside, because heat is not my friend. The industrial fan definitely helped! I felt like I was sitting on one of friend's veranda in the carribean Food: I really enjoyed the food. Tacos are a la carte. For appetizer we opted for the Trifecta which came with guac, queso, and rojo salsa. Let me just say, their happy hour deals are a great steal! Order: There are a couple different ways to order & pay. Use the traditional way of having the server take our order by raising the card "Lets Taco Buddha it," or by scanning the QR code and placing order yourself & pay online. At first, I started the online order because I felt like this would allow me more time to read the menu and order on my own terms. I ended up raising my card and having someone take my order despite having it all in my cart. Tacos are served "family style" comes out on the same platter. We opted for the Baja ( battered pallock) & The Jodhpur (marinated grilled chicken). The kiddos opted for the quesadillas and fried chicken taco. Everything was flavorful (with the exception of their hot/mild sauces, those were flavorless, however not necessary to add). Not going to lie, I made a joke to my mom about the food being served on a surgical tray or "doggy platter." LOL lol. Service: They use a team model. I saw multiple staff going throughout the restaurant checking on needs & refilling water pitchers. Everyone was really nice, they had small toys for children to play with at the table and it's always a plus when they strike up a conversation with my kiddos. Parking: We arrived shortly after 4pm and there were lots of spots available. By the time we were leaving, there were two cars waiting for spots. It is also located alongside a busy street, the restaurant did get packed for dinner on a weekday. Pricing: Prices does add up very pretty quickly, however 1 Taco can be very filling especially if you opted for appetizers. The only thing I would have changed is not to order my meal the same time as my appetizer. It came out almost together. I would have liked to enjoyed the appetizers prior to my entrée.

Our food arrived in a little over 10 minutes, which was a reasonable wait time. The portion sizes appeared smaller than I remembered from previous visits. I'm not sure if this is typical of the lunch portions or if the restaurant has reduced serving sizes since our last visit, but I was expecting a bit more food for the price. That said, the food itself tasted very good. The fajitas were flavorful and arrived hot and fresh.
