I gave it the 3 stars purely because of the young lady and older lady that we came across which I believe was Sunday. I did see that they were setting up, I saw food and there were couple guys already getting the cooking stuff ready and I saw the ladies preparing the bread, I simply asked "excuse me, are you open yet?" Came to this taco stand on a Tuesday night. First time there and the food did not disappoint. I got 2 asada and 2 chicken tacos. My date got 4 al pastor. The marinade for the chicken was delicious! My favorite for sure. The price is comparable to king taco prices but with much larger portions and overall better quality of meat. Service was quick and friendly. Fantastic food, the meat portions on the meat is big, the line is usually 10-15minutes minimum and can go up to 20 or 25 minutes. They take cash or selle The prices as of Dec 2024 is around $4 for a rib taco so it has definitely doubled since the pandemic. So it can be a bit pricey for tacos. I was really excited to try this new taco spot, but unfortunately it was a big letdown. We ordered a total of 6 tacos and 2 mulitas, trying the asada, buche, and pastor, along with a pineapple water and a canned Squirt. The total came out to $43, which felt expensive for the quality we received. The biggest issue was the lack of flavor. The tacos were completely bland, and the meat just wasn't good. The buche and pastor were especially disappointing--the pastor even had a strange, unpleasant aftertaste. I couldn't finish most of the tacos and only ended up eating my asada mulita. Overall, the food was not appetizing at all. Even the red salsa they add had no flavor and didn't taste good, which didn't help at all. The outdoor setup did appear clean, which I appreciated. They also seemed to accept credit/debit cards, but when it came time to pay, we were told they only take cash or Zelle, which was inconvenient and unexpected. Overall, this spot did not meet expectations in terms of taste, value, or transparency with payment options. I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience. I think this is the best outdoor Mexican food stand in the LA area. It is extremely popular of the line always goes fast because they have it very well set up. I think Al Pastor mulitas are one of the best things I've ever eaten and definitely the best Mexican dish I've ever eaten. And you must use their condiments on the last table where you pay. My only complaint is the tortillas, the cheese and the warmth of the food. The tortillas were not cooked long/hot enough making the food cold, and the meat sits in a container and it wasn't very hot either. You have to eat it on the spot. I drove less than a mile away to my home and the food was lukewarm. The cheese had a funny taste and maybe it's because they're preheating it up before you even get there, like it was melted 15-20 minutes ago and then they put the meat on it, the meat that was sitting in a container, making the mulita room temp. I had to put it in an air fryer to melt. I understand they're trying to be fast and have people out of there, but I don't love that. I want my food hot and fresh. They don't have a Yelp for there restaurant they just opened so decide to write my review here since it is the same business So they opened a restaurant on Olympic in East la called el mas cabron And they are not ready for the restaurant business it took 45 mins to get 6 tacos and a quesadilla and on top of that they messed up my order but as we sat there waiting forever we noticed they kept messing up everyone's order and they were taking forever to serve everyone and there register kept breaking down or they didn't know how to use it the ac was horrible and it was hot inside They get people because they know a lot of social media influencers but the food wasn't good they're quality has gone down I don't see the restaurant lasting I think they know how to handle taco stands better read more

My friends and I were doing a "taco crawl" one night and hit up a bunch of taco places in LA. This was our fourth stop. We came here to try the costilla (rib) taco, but honestly, I would skip the costilla taco and get the al pastor taco instead! I think this might be my favorite al pastor place. The costilla taco is literally a piece of rib (about the length of the taco), and sometimes two smaller pieces on a taco WITH THE BONE IN. They slathered the toppings on top, so things got real messy when I tried to eat this taco. Honestly, it was just okay, but I think I've decided that I'm just not a fan of costilla tacos because I don't want a bone in my taco. As for the al pastor taco, it was so good, even when I was so full and had been eating tacos all night. It was flavorful and charred. I really wished I had asked for a piece of the pineapple, but even without the pineapple, it was good. I also had the asada taco. It was good and not dry. The asada isn't cut into tiny bits like some of the other taco places. From here, I still personally prefer the al pastor taco more than the asada taco. The line was kinda long when we arrived on a Friday night. There were probably 20N people ahead of us, but it moved pretty quickly probably like 10-15 minutes. Ordering and paying was not very orderly though...or it felt more chaotic than other busy street taco places. I think it's because they have a couple of people serving the tacos, and they another handful of people ringing you out, so you were kinda moving in and out of two lines...if that makes sense. They do take zelle, if you don't have a cash on you, which is nice! Oh, and it's $3...well the ones I got were $3. My friends got some that were $4 per a taco (I think it was lengua). As with any popular food stand in Los Angeles this spot can get quite busy being located at the corner of Atlantic and Verona (literally a stone's throw from the East LA Post Office) They are known for their pork rib tacos and scratchmade corn tortillas. I highly recommend lining up at least 10 minutes before they open so you can experience what they have to offer at its freshest. You can order burritos, tacos, quesadillas, agua Fresca, pork ribs, al pastor, asada, pollo asada...just to name a few of their items. I order 3 burritos in which 2/3 I added cheese. They toast the cheese on the tortilla face down on the grill making it crispy. Along with my 3 burritos I also ordered a chicken quesadilla that was made with one of their scratch made corn tortillas. To wash these epic burritos down we also ordered a large Horchata.
