    Baja Burrito
    Joel M.

One of the many excellent restaurants of Whittier Blvd. If you're in the mood for fish tacos, they have a 1.50 taco Wednesday here. Service was good, ordered for pick up. Dining room indoors and some seating outside, parking on sidewalk or in the small lot in the back. I got a Baja burrito which contains fried Fish, shrimp, beans, rice, cabbage, tomato, onions, cilantro, cream & salsa. Good size and very filling, I regretted ordering an additional carne Asada and a pastor taco on the side. Saved for later, the Asada was good and the tortillas are the yellow kind. Ingredients tasted fresh and I would come again when I am in the mood again for some Estillo Ensanada.

Great fish taco place, can tell the ingredients are fresh. Definitely would come back if nearby. Service is quick and kind. Outdoor seating only. Small parking lot in the back and street parking $3.75/ fish taco

This is supposed to be 2 servings, and where's the juice.

Tired of always getting my order incomplete, now look at this. This small cup, the" new way". This is suppose to be for 2 order of ceviche tostadas.

A group of us went to Tacos Baja because we heard that the food is great, and we were not disappointed! They specialize in seafood, so the ceviche was on the top of everyone's list. They prefer the fish ceviche over the shrimp version. Delicious and worth the trip. Secondly, their fish tacos are awesome. The chicken tacos were not as special. A surprise-- the potato tacos rock!! The texture of the crunchy shell filled with potato is just the perfect bite. It comes with cheese, salsa, and crema on the side. They have mostly covered outdoor seating, we moved some tables together for our large group. You order inside at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready. So happy we tried Tacos Baja, it's a hit!

There is a line for a reason y'all, it's delicious. I got the fish tacos and they were cooked to perfect, really flavorful and fresh. Also you gotta get the pepper- I'm not sure if it bc ones with the meal or not (my friend ordered) but it's so good. We also had a side of ceviche which is good but you might need to ask for more tostadas if you're sharing

Happened to be in the area just in time for their Wednesday $1.59 fish taco special and got 3 for just over $5. I went for breakfast at around 9:45 to a budding line (it's taco'clock somewhere) and waited around 10 minutes for my food. Their interior has about 4-5 tables and a counter for ordering and pick up, but if you're looking for seating you might have more luck in their furnished outdoor patio. Service was no frills. The tacos themselves were a delicious start to my morning - well battered, crispy fish about as long as the width of a tortilla with a healthy amount of cabbage, pico de gallo, crema, and salsa. Their salsas definitely run a little hotter than some of the places I've had in the Bay Area, which was a nice touch. No lingering grease or heaviness in my stomach afterwards - must try local gem!

What I Ordered: -4 Fish Tacos $1.59 Each on Wednesdays -1 Shrimp Taco $3.59 Tacos Baja is an Ensenada-style eatery. They specialize in tacos in particular fish and shrimp tacos. Each order comes with some red hot sauce and roasted yellow peppers that are dipped in chili powder. They have three locations with one in LA and two in Whittier. Come here early on Wednesday or expect a line to form around lunch time on Wednesdays. The Wednesday Special of Fish Tacos for $1.59 is a really good deal. I initially ordered two fish and one shrimp tacos. I was really hungry and I ordered two more fish tacos. I went a little overboard with my taco consumption, but you can't beat that price. The Fish Taco tasted good. The only downside is that the breading of fish fell apart way too easily. I still think Tacos Baja makes a really good fish taco especially for the price. I would have still pay the regular price of $3.59 for the Fish Tacos as they are that good. The Shrimp Taco was also good. The portion size was good for the price. Tacos Baja makes great fish and shrimp tacos. You won't be disappointed if you come here. I'll be back on another Wednesday in the future for some more delicious Fish Tacos.

Good food but I ordered 2 burritos 5 shrimp tacos & 7 fish and only gave me 2 sauces and when asking for extra just 1 was givin

Very good food but food was giving with no sauce and when asked for more for a order of 2 burritos & 13 tacos only 3 sauces were giving

If you are anywhere near East LA and are hungry, Tacos Baja is a stop for you! I can only vouch for the Baja burrito, but it's a big vouch, I would say stop by and try them. They have off street parking and plenty of places to sit down and enjoy their food. Your order goes in quickly and your food comes out fast. It is definitely old school and that brings quality and good taste. Stop by and enjoy your meal inside or on one of their two dining patios.

We had to get the Michelada Oysters again because I had been craving them since our last visit. They were just as amazing as I remembered--fresh, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addicting. For Dine LA, I started with the Tostada Campechana, which was like an elevated ceviche with scallops, tuna, yellowtail, avocado, and a citrus sesame sauce. Everything tasted super fresh and the citrus gave it the perfect balance. The Bone Marrow Mole was rich, flavorful, and came with a generous portion and toast. For my main course, I had the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly--tender, well-seasoned, and delicious with the green sauce. The homemade tortillas were amazing too. We ended with the Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta, and it was the perfect finish--creamy, smooth, not overly sweet, and so good we practically cleaned the plate. Amazing food, great portions, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service. Ka'teen definitely delivered. I would absolutely come back again.

The menu had bunch of small and large plates, alongside lots alcoholic and N/A drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail that almost tested like a smoothie. The fried calamari, corn, empanadas, short rib tostada and chicken taco, all were good dishes but none of them were mind blowing. Prices were mostly fair. The service was really good.
