    Late night munchies 2022
    Franklin M.

My friend and I before heading home around the midnight hour we always look for a taco truck to get an inexpensive bite to eat. I ordered a lengua burrito with everything and it cost eight dollars. The burrito was a very nice size and the flavors satisfied the late night cravings. Usually at other taco trucks the burritos are small but they still charge as if it were a big burrito.

Mr. Sapo. This is the spot for Pastor tacos. Pick up. Take it home. Or Sit on the sidewalk and eat. When we want street tacos, specifically Al Pastor. This is where we drive to. Late night. Afternoon. One taco. Or two. Or three. Or four. Add a burrito. Try all the self-serve salsas. Veggies. Pickled onions. Pickled jalapeños. Grilled onions. Cannot go wrong. There is almost always usually a line. If you don't mind eating on a sidewalk outside of a food truck, then this is it. Or you can pick up and take home. And on those late nights after a few good drinks.... yes Tacos!!!! Never disappoints. Never.

*** CASH ONLY *** Since my dinner plan was cancelled, I decided to stop by East LA for a quick bite and found this taco truck via the Yelp app. I came here during a short burst of dinner crowd around 8:30 PM. The total was $7.25 and the cashier asked whether I have a quarter. I told him that I didn't carry a quarter and he just gave me $3 change instead. I mean wow that was one of very few times I got more money than I should! The condiment station comes with three sauces and toppings such as cilantro and onion. There are at least half a dozen of plastic stackable stools that you can sit on. Menu: Three options (tacos, burritos, and quesadilla) and seven meats (asada, pastor, cabeza, tripa, buche, chorizo, and lengua.) *** Taco (pastor - double layer tortillas, $1.25) and Burrito (asada, everything - $6): Both meats tasted pretty dry and I had to keep adding guacamole sauce in order to finish my burrito. Burrito was pretty traditional with rice and beans. Yes burrito was very filling, but flavors weren't exactly there. Red sauce from the condiment station tasted slightly too spicy for me and the guacamole sauce had pretty good flavors with manageable spiciness. *** Guacamole sauce definitely enhanced my burrito experience here, but why use any sauces if burrito itself already tastes flavorful? Friendly staff and affordable late night food, but I wouldn't drive out of the way just for the sake of it.

Tiny tacos. Not worth it since they've changed to this recently.

Used to be my favorite spot. Now the quality has gone down hill. The size of the tacos has gone tiny. So tiny they're not worth it. Something changed here. No more lines. Empty when you go now. Sad this happened here.

East L.A. is the best places tacos and others delicious Mexican cuisine and other things. One of friend I know for many years that know tacos very well he loves tacos very much. He recommended me to go to this taco truck in East L.A. called Tacos El Sapo. After riding the gold line to South Pasadena my wife and I were very hungry and then decided find this taco truck that we did. We travel on Olympic Blvd and found El Sapo taco truck. Wow there's was line for this tacos and we decided get in line to get these tacos. The tacos cost $1.25 it use to be only a dollar it went up by quarter due by it popular but I'm not sure. We order mix like Al pastor and carne asada. The tacos have good flavors in every bite I add little bit of lime, onion, etc they were awesome tacos.

One of the best taco trucks I've tried! We ordered asada, pastor and chorizo tacos. The asada and pastor had very good flavor. The asada and chorizo tacos were a tad on the dry side but that could be due to us waiting to eat them at home. They have a variety of condiments to choose from like grilled onions, finely chopped onions, cilantro, sliced onions (I think they were pickled), radish, cucumbers, lime and more! They have three type of salsas to choose from. I tried their green salsa which was very very good but a few seconds later it hits you with the heat! So be warn and maybe have a cup of horchata nearby. Our total came out to $15.50 for 10 tacos, 2 pineapple drinks and 1 can of Coke. ($1.25 per taco) Good prices and A+ for friendly and quick service! The guy who took our order was courteous and prompt.

Glad there's a Taco truck in Burbank and permitted. I always order the Suadero (Beef Brisket). So tender and juicy. Red, Green, and Avocado sauces are available too.

Taco to go spot in Burbank, good food and good price. Got 4 tacos, 2 with asada and 2 al pastor, a chicken quesadilla and a chicken burrito for $17, very good deal and plenty on food for 2. Sauces included. Cash only though!!! On Friday night the truck is in Burbank corner Buena Vista and Victory. There are some sites available as well.

    Catering. Al pastor was 5/5

Had them cater for my abuelita's birthday, the al pastor was amazing. Cooked on the spot and the tradition rotisserie way. They also have great customer service. However when I went to their taco truck, the al pastor wasn't exactly the same felt like it missed a little favor BUT the tacos where still good and better than most. Asada was consistent and also pretty good. They're condiments are also great 5/5 on that. They have the classic Roja and verde along with an avocado one (highly recommend). They have much more stuff too that are shown in the picture others have posted. The atmosphere is pretty nice too (for a taco truck lol) they have about a dozen foldable chairs and occasionally some musicians playing. There is also a lady on the corner that sells champurrado.

So not worth it. The tacos are tiny. Have a funky smell. Literally can ear them in one bite.

*** Credit cards accepted with a 4% additional fee ***…read more Tacos El Güero is one of many taco trucks in East LA and the truck specializes in Jalisco-style flavor tacos and burritos. I recently came here for a late night eat. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking - I had no issue finding an available spot. [Ordering]: Customers can actually do a phone order ahead of time. There was a small crowd on Friday at 9 PM, but I didn't wait too long to receive my order. There was a salsa bar with green, red, and habanero sauces. I was a fan of green sauce, but the other two salsas were too spicy for me. [Atmosphere]: No tables with just portable chairs to sit. I ended up eating inside of my car. [Menu]: Meat options include asada (beef), al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (beef cheek), chorizo (Mexican sausage), lengua (tongue), tripa (beef guts), buche (pork belly), suadero (beef brisket), and pollo (chicken). Customers can order taco, tortas, nachos, mulitas, burritos, asada fries, quesadillas, and california burrito. *** Asada Taco and Al Pastor Taco ($2.34 per taco including 4% credit card fee): These were double-layered tortillas and I liked al pastor better than asada. Not the best al pastor taco I have had, but decent enough. This specific style of al pastor had no pineapple & came with sliced cucumbers off the side. Absolutely delicious s-tier grilled onion. *** This is a solid late night taco spot in East LA that actually accepts credit cards.
