We recently had Tacos & Co for our office lunch. We had chicken, steak, and carnitas as protein. There were also two different types of enchiladas and some salad. Food was average. I would say 3.5/5.

So bland I thought I had Covid. Plenty of parking and seating inside/outside. Restaurant is decorated with lots of colors and ads. Service was quick. Self serve salsa bar is on the side (mild, medium and spicy sauces). Carne asada tostada $13 was B L A N D ... from the refried beans spread underneath, carne asada, to the gauc and salsas. The whole dish had no flavor :(

    Homemade tasting!

We've been looking for a spot just like this, for easy take out to dine in. Comparing to a taco shop style with authentic Mexican food, made on the spot. Great warm and friendly service last night and we will be back for the tacos! Love the pricing too, not too expensive. Sure there are fancier Mexican places around but we wanted to find a spot just like this since moving back to Cali. Great to meet everyone last night and not crowded like the district is. Will update as we try more items

Friendly service. Simple tacos. Great selection of salsas and additions. Fountain sodas. Very simple just overpriced. Three tacos + large soda will cost $17. You can go to a taco stand for better and more.

Four stars because this business supports students. I wasn't a fan of the taquitos, and I do think the quesadillas could use more cheese, but the street tacos are amazing! Reminds me of the simplistic tacos I tried in Tecate! Everyone is complaining about the seasoning/etc. for the price point I think what they offer is great.

$15.99 for a California burrito. They asked what meat and I said carne, in which she added a $2 up charge. So $18 for a California burrito, great, was expecting to maybe share it, but the thing was half the size of a normal burrito. Maybe it has super quality meat? No. Filled with cheese and sour cream and hardly any meat. Then they added about 5 chips! For the price and quality of the food, I'd advise to find somewhere else. Curious how this place is open...

Great food and awesome service! I've been coming to this location for over 10+ years cuz it's been my go to taco/ burrito spot for yummy authentic Mexican food!! The chef Chris was so professional and makes your food ok the spot, super friendly and food is delish! Uli was so helpful today and great service, I will be coming back!

This was an average at best taco shop, but I wasn't expecting good Mexican food in Irvine. I've been to much better places in Los Angeles and San Diego where they're more known for good Mexican food. I only came here because my coworkers wanted to come here for lunch. They have an extensive menu. After looking over the menu, I went with their taco & enchilada combination. I had them put chicken in my enchilada and carne asada in my taco. It came with pinto beans, rice, chips, and some salad. Don't bother spending the extra $1 for carne asada. It was way overcooked, like beef jerky dry. They do have some good salsa at their salsa bar on the side. They have some decent happy hour deals from 3:00 - 6:00 pm daily.

The churros were phenomenal at such a fantastic price. Their service was great too, I was able to speak to my waiter and their cook G Litty. G Litty was extremely funny and told me so much about their kitchen. He also gave me a tour of the kitchen and let me make my own tacos. I loved the colors and vibes, their decorations were great too. I can't wait to go again!

    A hot mess

We had to repeatedly ask for silverware, chips, and salsa because nothing was brought to our table. When our food finally arrived, everything was cold. Even the fajitas, which are supposed to come out sizzling, were not hot at all. When I told the staff that the food was cold, they offered to remake it. I asked if I could switch to the chicken fajitas instead. It took a very long time for them to bring the replacement, and when it finally arrived, they said they had run out of sizzling plates, so it was served on a regular plate instead. The biggest issue was with my daughter's meal. She has a tomato allergy, which we clearly informed the server about when ordering. The server assured us there were no tomatoes in her meal, but when it arrived, it had tomatoes. They took it back to remake it, but after another long wait, they brought it back with tomato rice still on the plate. That was unacceptable, especially considering it involved a food allergy. Overall, the service was slow, the food was cold, and there was a serious lack of attention to an important dietary restriction. This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration, but it turned into a frustrating experience. We won't be coming back.

Every employee we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the pricing. While I understand premium restaurants come with premium prices, charging $24 for a single enchilada feels excessive, even by Orange County standards. It's difficult to justify that price for one item, no matter how well it's prepared. I hope management takes another look at the menu pricing because everything else from the food quality to the incredible staff is worthy of a five-star experience.

No, there isn't. 1 dish for veg., and nothing vegan unless you count chips and salsa. On to the review! Extremely expensive, especially for what you get. I was here a couple years ago and throughly enjoyed it. Perhaps that was because I was with friends and had a couple drinks. So this time just wanted a nice night out. The atmosphere is nice, although I did find the speed in which the staff worked disconcerting. They were all moving so fast it made The whole experience feel rushed. Not that I want slow service, just normal speed. We noticed that the table next to us was ordering drinks. It was pretty obvious that we were being rushed to leave since we didn't order alcohol. The food was very nice looking. However every thing is al a carte. That means I spent $32.00 for 2 vegetable enchiladas. No rice, no beans. Just 2 enchiladas. You can do the math. That's stupid ridiculous. We ordered 2 of the cheapest items on the menu. Rice and beans were an additional $7.00 each. The food was average. No OMG where have you been all my life?! 2 chicken enchiladas were $36. 00. That's all you got. At least the chips and salsa were free. Guac was an additional $15. We got the churro dessert, for $18.00. Again beautiful looking, but the churros were kind of old. Dinner was $104.00 with no alcohol. There's many better places that do not gouge you and make you feel taken advantage of. Oh, one last thing. They have this disclaimer on the menu about preserving the founder's recipes and no changes at all will be allowed. You want to know what I think? They want dishes out of the kitchen ASAP for the table turnover. They don't want to have the kitchen have to think about what they're making. Keep all dishes the same, and it's easier for the kitchen with no changes. Super annoying. We won't go back.

Make sure you go to the right location. There's plenty of street parking. It is a truck, so no seats or tables, but that's not an issue, just eat in your car LOL. Now the food....one of the best birria I've had. I ordered 2 crunchy tacos with cheese. They were sooooo good. Perfect amount of cheese, meat and the tortilla was crispy just how I like it. The consome, wow! It was very flavorful, tasted like actual consome. Other places it'll either taste like too many condiments/spices or watered down. This one though was 100% consome. I don't dip my tacos, I sip on my consome, so I did add a little lime, but still was able to taste how good the actual broth was. I didn't try the green salsa, but my bf liked it, he said it wasn't spicy. The red one, I did try, and it was perfect for me. It has a little kick at first, but then it's not too bad. Really good salsa though. Highly recommend the red for the tacos. They also have Mexican sodas, Coke, Sprite, Jarritos, and I forgot what else. The service is great. Didn't get his name, but he was really nice and friendly. We just went yesterday, but planning on going back today.
