Erick's is a weekly meal in my house, it's absolutely delicious no matter what you get. Very quick wether you order online or at the truck and food is guaranteed to be hot and ready. I used to just stick to tacos until I tried the torta which is full of flavor, you can add onions, cilantro, avocado, etc. The quesadilla is equally as good and last very well if you want to save some for the next morning, tastes just as good as when it came out fresh. Unassuming taco truck usually parked near the Chevron on Main St. The prices are kind of steep but it's Orange County. I stopped by on the way home from work for a burrito on recommendation from a friend and ended up leaving with a couple of tacos to try some of the meats too. Tortillas: dijeron que son hechos por mano, and it tastes and feels like it, I love house made tortillas. Salsas: tasty, the red is considerably spicy. Cabeza taco: the winner here for us, fatty, soft, tasty, literally coats your hand in oil when you put it down. Pastor taco: not bad, it was *very* sweet, balanced out with the spicy salsa they gave us. Asada burrito: I was sadly disappointed. The meat is beefy and fresh, but tastes like unseasoned pan-fried chuck. Not bad but also not very flavorful and full of giant chunks of hard fat. I also found 3 pieces of onion throughout before encountering a mouthful of raw white onion hidden in a deep pocket of the burrito. It's not a bad choice for a quick dinner or an un-sober night Mexican craving. But it didn't fully hit the spot after a hard day of work. Sunday, 8PM * Parking and Location * The truck we went to was right next to the Yum Yum Donuts on 17th just off of the 5 freeway, not the address listed on this page. It's a more residential area so you have to do street parking. It's also pretty dark around, not many street lights, so just be wary of your surroundings. * Food * Al pastor - This was one of the best al pastor tacos I've had. The marinade on the meat was flavorful with a little bit of a kick. The meat itself was soft and not too dry. I would honestly go just for this. Buche - The buche here was unfortunately not as good both flavor-wise and texture-wise. Tripa - Interesting that we couldn't see visible chunks of intestine anywhere. We actually were having a hard time figuring out which taco was the tripa since the intestines were chopped up and looked kind of like the other meats. Suadero - Probably the second best of the night out of the four different meats we got. It was soft and melts in your mouth. Definitely softer than other suadero I've had, so it actually threw me off for a bit in the beginning, but I still enjoyed it. What really made the tacos though were the salsas. They were BOMB and gave the tacos that extra umph of flavor and spice that took them to the next level. Load your tacos with the salsas, you won't regret it. Honestly the salsas and the al pastor were what pushed me to give a 4 star review considering the buche and tripa. * Service * There weren't too many people in line ahead of us, but because we ordered handmade tortillas, the wait was a little longer. Just FYI that handmade tortillas cost $0.60 extra per taco, and avocado is extra as well if you want that. There's no sign for the extra charges and they don't tell you verbally either, but they'll ask you if you want them. Don't be surprised to see the extra charges on your receipt. read more

Found this while searching for El Pepino Loco #2 truck. Ended up being 20 minutes early for that truck (which I also highly recommend). I was craving meat which isn't served at the corn truck so it worked out perfect. When we stepped out of the car we were swarmed with the awesome smell of taco meat. Whatever it was we knew we were gonna enjoy our dinner. We got four tacos each. They are either $1.25 or $1.50 depending on the meat. They have so many options. They have suadero!!! Between the two us we tried 5 options: asada, carnitas, pastor, suadero, and choriquezo. Our faves were the asada and carnitas.
