I came here with a date, and the burrito was quite big. I believe I ordered the surf 'n' turf, with jamaica. And of course, they served us chips and salsa as an appetizer. I had to take the burrito to-go since it was so big, but service was great. The food tasted amazing. I really liked the salsa (it tasted pretty fresh, but I could be wrong, as I was really hungry), although I'm not too big on regular tortilla chips. My date ordered fish tacos, I believe, but I didn't try them, so not sure how they tasted. It was a bit stuffy inside, but they have a lot of seafood options on their menu, a welcoming staff, and a cooler in the back, with plenty of drink options.

Just ordered breakfast it was disgusting! The chilaquiles were a soggy mess mixed with the chile sauce they use to put on tacos. I asked for over easy eggs and got hard well done yolk... Gross!! Not worth the $20 for this dish. Just realized that I had ordered the same thing 2 years ago... what was I thinking?!?!?!

Great spot for some latin seafood. They have a large menu and good space for groups. The service was kind and quick. We ordered the aguachile and it was so spicy for me that I couldn't finish it. They serve breakfast all day. Parking can be tricky in this area. It's in a plaza with a lot of other businesses.

Ortegas used to be very good and worth what they charge for ceviche trays but not anymore. $60+ for a tray of what might as well be pico de gallo is crazy! The few pieces of shrimp that were in there weren't clean and it gave me asco. I'll go back for food, but not for ceviche.

This place is nearby and we have been curious. We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised. My husband is pescatarian and loved the whole catfish option. I ordered carne asada fries which were yummy but I will say I wish it was shredded cheese instead of nacho cheese sauce. Nothing fancy inside, but very welcoming. Good took about 30 min, no big deal for a whole fried catfish. We will be back!

The staff was attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating to both me and my guests. Everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the event. The food was absolutely delicious, and the quality exceeded our expectations. One of the things we appreciated most was how clean and well-maintained everything was, along with the ample parking and overall high-quality experience. It is very spacious and well spaced. Separation of regular diners and bar drinking is nice, to keep a family friendly environment separate from the potentially more rowdy crowd. We asked what was highly recommended, and of course, it was what we came for, as others do too for their first and most likely, only visit there. I do not recommend this restaurant. We ordered their special of the day, which was a ceviche. It was made with raw shrimp, not cooked in any way, like straight from the freezer, thawed, chopped, and put into a bowl with the other fresh diced stuff. Usually, the marinating time the shrimp sits in the ceviche "cooks" it, not this one, gray shrimp. We read a review that said the octopus was life-changing, and we love a well-cooked octopus. If the octopus was just cooked, or just heated, or just slightly on the grill for a second, it would have been super delicious and life-changing, however, it was finished-cooked so poorly. My guess is that someone thinks that grill marks make it good, wrong, they burnt it. The flavor is burnt! It becomes bitter and burnt! Well, guess what, we ordered the fish.... And guess what.. it is the same!!! BURNT! Not grilled, BURNT, ON PURPOSE!?! If you want good Zarandeado, I recommend you go try Mariscos Martin in La Puente or Baldwin Park. Like I said, skip it, I do not recommend it. And, it was not cheap neither. It looked so upscale, so awesome, smelled good, then just burnt! Don't believe all the hype. This is definitely a hype restaurant, or somewhere to get drunk and not be able to comprehend what you are digesting.

The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.
