This is a bit of a hole in the wall type restaurant. WITH AMAZING MEXICAN FOOD. I've gone here like 5 times. They are quick, very very nice people and food is EXCELLENT and affordable! You definitely get your money's worth. You can ask for it "mojado" or wet and they will put the salsa or your choosing cheese and sour cream on top. SO YUMMY. They also add chips and salsa FOR FREE on to go meals and dine in. Close to the Americana and galleria malls. There is parking outside. Many people called in their food and came to pick it up. Not a place to hold a party. Great location though as it is right in town. Good to meet just a couple people for lunch. Not saying Glendale doesn't have good taco spots but the authenticity of Tacos Cancun will leave you satisfied. Service is great, the cashier was super friendly and funny. The food was great and didn't take long. The salsas were spicy so that was a plus in my book. I tried the fish taco, the shrimp taco, pastor taco and carne Asada. All were great. This little spot is located in a strip mall on Broadway and Pacific is serving up some pretty authentic Mexican Food. It's definitely one of the best in the neighborhood! The Ceviche here is almost as good as the one I had in Cancun! It was so fresh and flavorful. Their homemade tortilla chips are light and crispy and go so well with the ceviche! We also ordered the Milanesa Torta, which was really good and huge! The Carne Asada Burrito and the Breakfast Burrito were also really tasty and massive! I don't know how they eat tacos in Cancun but something ain't right about adding shredded cheese to your seafood. Why this place adds cheese to their shrimp and fish tacos is beyond me. All I know is I don't want any part of it. I picked it off so it wasn't a big deal but some of it had already melted on one side and stuck. I had a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a side of guacamole and chips. The grilled fish was good on its own but I wasn't a fan of what was going on with the entire taco. I added lime, salt, salsa and still it tasted mehhhh. The shrimp taco was even blander than the fish. The shrimp itself was just boiled it seems, no seasoning whatsoever. All in all, the guacamole was fresh and delicious and a great price for the portion. The tacos were average - at best. Cashier wasn't very friendly but the rest of the staff was, so they made up for her. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating. It seems as if most people call their order in and pick it up. They have a pretty big menu for a small place. My husband was craving Mexican so we decided to find an authentic spot. Tacos Cancun was the spot we decided to try! It is in a shopping center with parking! It's located right on the corner. The seating is super limited so you might just have to order to go. The food: they have sooo many options! You also get complimentary chips and salsa. I decided to swap out the carne asada with carnitas. The plate came with so much! It had avocado, tortillas, Chile, rice, and pinto beans. My husband ordered the enchiladas plate. Sadly, we wanted to try the guacamole but she said she didn't have enough for the dishes that require it if she needed it. We were bummed but Pico salsa was a substitute. My carnitas were a little dry but I loved the fact It came with so many options to eat it with. Small hole in the wall, stopped by to give it a try. Was recommended the asada torta and it was presented quite nicely. Asada was marinated well and combined well with the flavors of the torta. The salsa verde didn't carry much flavor and had to use the habanero sauce to attain the kick I was looking for. Nacho chips were stale but the torta was solid and toasted nicely. The best breakfast burrito in LA. I have been on the hunt to find the best and gotten many recommendations from people telling me their favorite spot but nothing lives up to Tacos Cancun's Machaca Breakfast Burrito. I highly recommend getting a side of guacamole for it. The spicy hot sauce is made perfectly too. Honestly if you think you can find a better breakfast burrito I challenge you and am open to suggestions... I have been whizzing past this place for years though the reviews on Yelp are pretty stellar. I needed to stop in. Well today, Christmas Eve i decided to stop for some grub as i had mounds of cooking prep ahead of me at home and did not want to cook something for myself. It seemed like the perfect time to sample the wares of this well reviewed restaurant It was pretty slow at 930am-ish today though they were hopping in back preparing party trays of delicious looking Tortas, Frijoles de la olla and rice plus several other specialties. Everyone greeted me from the back and the woman who took my order was very nice and personable. I mean who is not nice today, the eve of Christ;s birth? (Yes, i know, i know.) I ordered a combo of 2 tacos (beef and chicken) which comes with beans and rice+ 2 salsa packs of home made salsa. I wanted Picante (hot) but they only had Green Tomatillo. This also comes with a good amount of fresh fried corn tortilla chips. Tacos: Both are served soft, grill warmed corn tortillas, two per taco. The chicken is tasty, well seasoned. This taco has a it of shredded lettuce, pico de gallo. This was simple preparation but also a carefully prepared one. I would have liked more chicken but the condiments made up the space in the small tortilla and it all came together very well in each bite. One of my main gripes about beef tacos at almost every venue i which i have ever eaten them is: the meat is cut too small so as to resemble rat droppings. i suppose there is a reason for this but i have never figured it out. In any event...big Surprise! the beef here it is actually cut larger and though, as in the chicken taco...there isn't enough. once again each bite is tasty and well seasoned though the individuality of beef makes itself known among the condiments. Most take Beans and Rice for granted as plate fillers but here the beans are not re-fried. They are right out of the pot or as they are called: Frijoles de la Oja. Also as opposed to most beans served elsewhere they are perfectly seasoned and not too salty. The Tomatillo salsa was weak on the spice level but as is all of the food i bought: well seasoned and full of green tomato taste. The rice is light and fluffy and again well seasoned, not too salty. I am giving an honest review as I went to this place after seeing the great reviews. My review is based on what I had during this experience so it's not based on the entire menu. I had the asada tacos and nachos with chorizo, overall out of 10 the food was a 6. I really liked the chorizo. The food was okay, I would just suggest they trying improving on their salsas and nachos as the cheese on the nachos was canned. If it were to be fresh cheese the nachos would be great as everything else was great. The customer service was a 8/10 the person working there seemed nice and it was quick and not too pricey compared to other places. Overall the place was good, I am not trying to bash the place cause it does have a lot of good reviews and I didn't get to try everything. So I assume they have good options just wouldn't personally recommend the nachos. read more

The food is authentic. The ambiance is tight (seating 16 at tables of 2, 2 tables of 4). The employees work hard. I've been here twice and can attest to the fact that the food is quality and consistent. The reason it's getting 4 vs. 5 stars is because it's 1pm on a Saturday and it smells like a wet bleach mop. I'm glad you care about sanitation, but nothing is more disgusting than trying to eat in a place that smells like bleach. Don't do it. Wait until you're closed to lay the heavy cleaners on thick.
