Extensive menu and while standing in line was recommended items from customers which is always a good sign. I ordered the 3 taco combo (asada) and my wife ordered the mole burrito (asada). So far, the best tacos I've had in Glendale. Something that I'm weary of in taco joints is that it's often inconsistent, but I've gone here a couple of times and it was good. Also, yes the prices for tacos is a little steep but also it's filled with the meat to max, almost double to some other spots I know. Service is quick and friendly. read more

It's great to finally have a hole in the wall family owned Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood with good food. The food here is delicious, tastes homemade, and the portions are generous. For me their standout dishes are their Tlayuda and their enfrijoladas, both of which are very flavorful and a great amount of food for the price. Their burritos are fantastic as well, and are very affordably priced. I just can't bring myself to spend $20 on a burrito at Taco Azteca anymore. Although this place is situated in this very drab Little Caesars parking lot, when you walk in, you're going to feel like you're in Mexico. Very affordable. We ordered the chicken burrito, a vegetarian burrito, chips/salsa, French fries, and a 3 taco combo plate (kids shared). The burritos were so filling and they can modify - I asked for no cheese and no sour cream, but include guacamole, they happily obliged. The kids demolished their taco combo plate! I came back to this app after a few years off it to say their breakfast burrito is BOMB!! I ordered the chorizo with sour cream on the side and a agua de jamaica. My gf had the same with cheese and sour cream and a cafecito. All the ratios in the burritos were perfect and they kept it light on the sour cream. It's one of those dishes you either love or dislike. The Tlayuda (Oaxacan pizza) best eaten right away ordered with extra meats. :) Their made to order taquitos are pretty good; it comes with fantastic house salsas... a buddy of mine told me the breakfast burritos and tacos were just ok... it appears that the specialty standouts are the regional Oaxacan dishes. Found the authentic Mexican food in Glendale. I was craving some real carne asada tacos just like Nema use to make. And this place filled the taco sized hole in my stomach, 4 times over. I was going to order more, but I was barely able to kick the urge before the addiction took over my body. I will be coming back to try everything else very soon. Nothing really to complain about. The tlayuda is really good - a gem of a find in the glendale area; I don't see many spots serving the variety of dishes they have here. The tacos are a really great portion size for the price! Memela is a good size too for the price (judt under 10 dollars and I think it's enough to feed 1 or 2 people with another item). I've had the asada, al pastor, cecina, and chorizo here, and they are all excellent! I especially appreciate that the chorizo is meaty and not too oily!
