Only DOWNSIDE...We ordered 2 happy hour margaritas each (wife got the strawberry & the melon one & I got the regular and then the midori one). Couldn't tell if any of them had any liquor in them at all. My wife ordered the taquito special, 4 taquitos for a low price. Came with lots of toppings and a mound of good guacamole! I ordered the burrito Ahogado & substituted the chicken for steak at an extra charge - comes with rice & beans. It was really good, super huge & very filling and I ate it all. I've been going here since I was a child and have loved this restaurant, but had an extremely disappointing experience of Mother's Day. They severely overbooked their reservations. We checked in on time. 30 minutes after our reservation time, I asked where we were in the queue and was told my party was next. 10 minutes later they call two different parties. I asked again what happened and they said, "well people just checked in for their reservation for a few hours ago so they go first " It doesn't make a lot of sense to put someone high in the queue when they miss their reservation time by over an hour. I asked to cancel our reservation and the hostess was thrilled. It was absolutely corporate greed to overbook their reservations. It was horrible customer service to be completely unapologetic for the situation they caused. read more

We came here for a late lunch to a almost empty resturant. No host to be seen so after a few minutes we self sat ourself at the bar. A little pricey for a $100 lunch with 2 drinks, one being a Mocktal and a $10 deep fried icecream. We each ordered different taco plates that came with rice and beans. We enjoyed the tacos. I can't believe Acapulco is closing. Came with my family for old time's sake. We started to eat here for the kids eat free on Tuesdays deal all the time! I ordered the shrimp and skirt steak to relive the nostalgia of the kid's fajita meal and it was great. The servers are the best here and brought us so many rounds of chips. Their plans to close have brought more patrons back in, but I overheard that they will stay open for another couple months at most. Hopefully they can stay open for longer!!! read more

A. is located right off the freeway and has an ample lot. Seems like this and similar restaurants such as El Torito (ET) are just not as popular with younger crowds. You can get better and cheaper food from local taco joints and trucks, but both A. & ET are still a nice sit down experience for a friends and family, business, or special occasion meal. Service was friendly and mostly efficient. They did check on us 1-2 xs. However, as at many places for most of our visit our server was working too hard covering too many tables despite the place not being that crowded. We went for happy hour and ordered off of that menu. Their happy hour is a good deal if u do not order too much. We got a $4 margarita, potato chorizo tacos (2), chicken taquitos (4), and guac for the free chips. They have Pepsi products rather than Coke, so auto minus one star for our taste--we like our Diet Coke esp. w/ Mexican-Hispanic foods. It was super dead and quiet on a Sun night around 5:00. The overall quality and experience was better than ET. ET in Pasadena-Arcadia makes u feel a little uncomfortable and the happy hour items are not bad, but A. has better quality. The servers were rude and obviously couldn't care less about service. From the moment we walked in, the host seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The server was straight up rude and was also put out by our presence. Had to ask several times for drinks we had ordered. Not to mention, the restaurant was almost empty. One of my favorite spots. I love this place. Good for families, kids (well-mannered), and seniors. Good for sports fans. TV screens all around, but other separate dining rooms. Specials everyday. Variety of Margaritas chips & salsa & guacamole. Good menu items. Sadly I just stick with my favorite entree, but their appetizer platter is wonderful for multiple items. The place is festive with nice music and the dining room is festive in it's coloring! I had a three item combo, it was good, the shredded beef taco was actually small chunks of beef and seemed "fatty" the Chile relleno and chicken taco were both good. We also ordered Carnitas which was always a favorite here. It was an ample portion and happily very lean, it was good. Service was ok, the great part was seeing long term busser/friend Alex! Came here recently for a their beloved Margarita Monday, which is a must for any Monday when in the Glendale area! The service here is always so friendly and while it can be on the slower side, I'm appreciative that they let us hang out with friends for hours to catch up! I love their outdoor patio, especially on a warmer night! It's spacious and has ample and comfortable seating! I also like how it's fenced in from the parking lot, keeping it feeling like a separate space! As far as the margaritas go, they are cheap and depending on the bartender, can be weak or strong! There's never been a time where I've gotten drunk from having 4, more just a sugar rush! Regardless, they're still fun, indulgent and come in great fruity flavors! My favorites are the mango and coconut blended margaritas, only a few dollars each! Unfortunately, as a vegan, there's not really much options for me but they do continuously bring out refills of complementary chips and salsa. These are fresh and tasty and necessary to have with any margarita! The restaurant is very clean and well maintained both inside and outside and has a fun and festive vibe to it! We had to wait more than an hour for our fajitas and salmon only to find out that there is no more rice. The server was rude on telling us that it was coming only to find out that there was really no rice at all. Poor customer service. We went there today with a party of nine for my brother's and my moms's birthday. Our server was extremely rude and unfriendly. He didn't ask what kind of tortillas I wanted for my fajita, he skipped my son when taking our drink orders and he didn't bring the shot of Grand Marnier that came with my margarita. We asked for a different server and the manager was great, he gave us a new server without delay. Our new server was great, friendly and attentive. After this we had a good experience. Have been to alcapocos in a while. This location in Glendale was nice clean. The staff was pleasant friendly. It never had they had 2 boys. And we were gonna order from the menu. We got there early enough for the Saturday brunch. Before it ended at 1pm the food did kinda look appetizing. The omelet bar was still open. We both got those. There were only a few pancakes. One looked little, burnt the waffles. Were about 3 left. But I did get one. The syrup was still warm. The chips and salsa are always good I have to say the desserts were really good.We got the chocolate brownie and the carrot cake but maybe if we would have got there. When it started, but it's almost not really worth $24.95, most of the meals. On the menu are about $20 to $25. We are in the area about once a month. So we will most likely be back even though we didn't like the fact that there is a surcharge because of some local tax. At 4.99%. So we end up paying the extra $2.78. read more

They had a Burrito - Gigante, and I choose the Asada Burrito. Desert came in the form of an order of Deep Fried Ice Cream, which was a delight.
