I stopped by Taco Charly today to try their nachos since it was recommended by my friend for good nachos. I came in the morning because I saw on Street View that there limited parking in the plaza this place is in. I got a parking spot right in the front because it was not busy yet. I got the nachos with asada, the price is reasonable because the portion size you get. It didn't take them long to make and they give you red and green salsa for it. They put a good amount of asada in the nachos and cheese but I didn't get a lot of jalapenos, I only got 5 pieces. The nachos chip were fresh and not stale like other places I been to. I would recommend trying this place at least once. I didn't want guacamole, sour cream or onion in my nachos so those come on it. read more

I begrudgingly decided to deduct two more stars since, for some reason, this place has changed - and not for the better- which is strange because it's the same owner, if I'm not mistaken. First of all I stopped by for my favorite nachos a couple of months back and I've come to the dreadful realization that they weren't as nearly as good as before but sure as hell rose in price. The second time I stopped by was for a burrito (initially for the nachos but my last visit left a bad experience in both my wallet and palate that I opted for my second favorite option) which, again, was not as good or nearly as big as I fondly remember it to be but - you guessed it right: the price sure got bigger. I stopped by for a third and, very unfortunately, the last time for the nachos just to see if it was just me. Same results and I actually became bummed out! This place used to be the damn spot for nachos and good ass food plus value. I hated myself for deciding not to stop by any time soon for the reasons of the quality of the food and the rise in prices. I do understand that these are trying times of a pandemic and high prices for meat and everything else but damn! It is truly going to be difficult justifying those prices when taco trucks and spots around Paxton park pop up and not only the food is good but cheaper as well. I haven't been here in years but recently I decided to show my brother this great nacho spot. A big mistake. I spent $25 for cold nachos. Everything on the plate was cold. I love coming here, so it hurts me to give it a 3 star review. This place has my favorite food which is their Nachos Papas. The thing is the rest of their menu is a bit lacking in the sense that they're just regular tacos, burritos, or tortas. They also lack a few things that in current day and age are a bit frustrating such as not accepting debit or credit cards and their lack of public restrooms as a sit down restaurant or even a place to just wash my hands before I eat. A few small things I have to mention are that the roof does leak and I have seen some bugs in there(this was about 2 years ago and since then I have not seen any.) They were even better when the rude ass owner would make them cause she'd be pouring that nice thick milky cheese on top with so much anger. Stingy with the napkins but not the cheese.
