I have been here several times. Nothing special about their tacos. The meat is usually dry. I won't stop by unless I'm in a hurry and too lazy to go elsewhere. They do not have bathrooms for the public. A working man can't even wash his hands here. read more

I was on Yelp looking for some good fries with carne asada. When many results popped up, I went ahead and looked at images from all types of locations. When I saw a photo from Tacos Charly, I immediately wanted to go there and try them. I was a first time customer and let me tell you, the asada fries with nacho cheese was way too delicious! I would highly recommend this location for this particular item. I have yet to try other foods on their menu but if those asada fries are too delicious and mouth watery, which is why I'm rating them 5 stars. I'll definitely be returning soon. read more

First off, its Tacos Charly...not Charlie. I've been coming to this place since the early 90's and I honestly have to say that this is my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. I live up in the Bay Area now, but I make a stop at Tacos Charly every time I visit the LA area. The food is amazing, best carne asada and al pastor out there. They actually have the real al pastor cooking on the rotisserie, if a restaurant doesn't have the pork on the rotisserie than it's not al pastor!!! Tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas are great, can't go wrong with either. But the signature dish are the Nachos Charly or the Charly Fries....COT DAM, SO GOOD!!! Best nachos and fries EVER!!! The place is small, but it always seems busy every time I visit. This place has been around for over 20 years, so you know they must be doing something right. If you live in the area, or just passing by the area, stop by and check out Tacos Charly, you won't regret it. Looking forward to the next time I visit the LA area. read more

I've been going here for years. I love it. They recently remodeled the place, looks really nice but I miss the old murals that gave it that old fiesta feel. Charlies Nachos are a must. Been here a few times for the Nachos and Papa Nachos, they are absolutely amazing!!! I wish they would add more cheese to the bottom though lol, since the last few are dry, anyways they are damn good! I haven't really tried anything else from here, i think i had a burrito once, i assume it's all good! But The Nachos are where it's at. Also the Horchata is amazing.
