We hadn't been to this location before but we'd been to the one in Los Banos a few times over the years. This location is very clean and the folks who work there are friendly. With my work travels, I have stopped by several times to eat here. The first time it was superb. No issues with speed of service and quality of food. The past three times that I have been by (one time taco Tuesday) it has gone down hill. The pastor was crunchy and dried out and no hot sauce on multiple occasions going thru the drive thru. Was unable to return since I was already on freeway going home. I am going to think again and will look for another location for tacos on my way home. This is my favorite spot to grab a bite when I'm visiting my family in Chowchilla. The service is always quick, the food tastes authentic and at a good price too! There's even a drive thru that you can use if you're on the go even though the food does NOT taste like fast food. The place used to be a Taco Bell so it has a nostalgic feel inside when I do decide to eat indoor. Lots of sitting space. As for location, it's in a good spot. Right off the 99 HWY so you can get off, grab a bite to eat and continue on your way. I highly recommend this place. read more

I was staying at a RV park down the street just for a night and before taking the 99 freeway I noticed this place was open for breakfast. On top of that, there were these two sheriffs chowing down on tacos at their parking lot. It's Chowchilla California! It must be good right? It indeed was. Tried one of each (asada, pollo, and carnitas). Honestly, I wish I didn't have to share my plate of tacos. Should've doubled the order. No joke! Simple, but perfect. When I got home there was hardly onions or cilantro. This place feels like a fast food restaurant so I was expecting some okay food. I was so wrong, this place has the most authentic good-tasting Mexican food I've had at a fast food type restaurant. I ordered the lengua tacos, breakfast burrito, and a horchata. Lengua tacos tasted really good and they reminded me of taco truck-style tacos. The breakfast burrito was good, the only downside is that it's a bit small so you'll have to order a side to fill you up. The horchata was really good, it tasted very fresh and not bad like I've had at other more expensive Mexican restaurants. Also, another good thing about this restaurant is that it was very clean inside, the floor looked mopped, and the seating areas looked wiped down. The other reviews have very high expectations for a restaurant that has nicely priced food. You get what you pay for. read more

She did well. I saw that this was #2, so I was hopeful that their food would be good if there was a #1 and they're branching out. For food: my wife and I ordered lengua and cabesa. To me, that's the test. Cabesa needs to be from the cheek of the cows head and should have that nice fatty, that collagen. It should have a beefy flavor with that beef talo glistening. It should be lightly seasoned. Lengua should be Soft and tender to the bite like fillet mignon. I'm guessing their clientele may have an American palate because these two items was not that. The cabesa could've been beef chuck and it tasted boiled. Not salt, nothing. Like boiled beef. Are at least Roast it to give it some depth of flavor The lengua was nothing to work home about, but, hey, this is my opinion. It's apparent that people like their food. The rice was a little dry and the bean were nothing special. They have the platform and staff to give us amazing, I did not. Clean facility, the dishes that we ate is standard fast food Mexican. Prices are good. Go and have lunch, it's clean, air conditioned, easy parking and their food might be what you like. read more

Ordered two breakfast burritos, one ham & egg and one chorizo & egg. The ham & egg was pretty decent, but the chorizo & egg was severely undercooked. I took about 5-6 bits before I realized the chorizo was still raw. If you ever experience this, make sure you stop eating the food, save the food, and the receipt. They apparently have a policy to exchange food the same day it is purchased as long as you take back the food and receipt. We were not able to go back as we were already too far down Hwy 99 to go back. I'll probably never go back to this place. read more

I had chili verde nachos and this had absolutely no flavor. The bean were bland, the meat had no sauce and the toppings were not what I was expecting. He had the super burrito with everything and they were so skimpy on the toppings. He ordered a carne asada taco with everything and it came plain. The red salsa needed salt.
