First timer here! I have been wanting to go try it out today was the day! I walked in and the place was empty, but i was greeted by a very nice girl. I ordered an Alpastor burrito supreme to go. She assured me that it would be ready within 10 minutes. Once i got home i opened the bag and realized that the burrito was huge! And i was given red and hot sauce and a slice of lemon and napkins. Usually you have to ask for it and it was already there! The burrito is sooo good. I can eat 3 times off of it and the sauces were packed to the brim. I will be going back

Delicious! They have WAY MORE options for food than their menu. The lady told me about special tacos with a tortilla placed in oil, then an extra tortilla on top with cheese. Theu added Carne asada which was MARINATED and fresh avocado. Delicious!!! $4.50 each taco but so worth it! Their beans are also whole and fresh from cooking. Would definitely come back again. Amazing!

Delicious chilaquiles sided with rice and beans. The horchata was very good and more on the sweet side. The service was fast and ambiance was nice. Can't wait to try more of their food! Definitely recommend.

Definitely the best authentic mexican food in Chowchilla! My daughter raved about the chile verde special, we had tacos, asada fries and a carnitas torta plus flan for dessert. Everything was exceptional! The owners are very kind and accommodating; I honestly can't say enough good things about this new restaurant, try them out, you won't be sorry!

It was AMAZING 1000/10 best burrito, order was fast and got to me quick. Only took 10 minutes because I got it doordashed, if you're getting something for your first time from here I would definitely recommend the carne asada burrito. 100% worth the price!

Their food and service is amazing. Had me asada fries and they made them exactly how I like. My husband had camarones a la diabla and he loved them

The food here is bomb ! Everything we ordered was delicious ( we came in a group and of course we try each others food). On top of the food being good, the service here was great as well the owners are very delightful. I am very pleased with my experience here I will be returning in the near future. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat good Mexican food in the area :)

The chilaquiles weren't spicy more like chips with salsa and ended up being pretty bland with light salsa. However, the country potatoes were really good and definitely a highlight. The pigs in a blanket were also tasty, and the hashbrowns were perfectly browned. The kids enjoyed their meals, although the corn dog was a little overcooked on the outside and slightly undercooked on the inside. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and kind throughout our visit. The only other downside was the coffee, which tasted a bit watered down or just not very strong. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back to try different items.

This visit happened to fall on Mother's Day weekend. We had reservations for both Saturday and Sunday, but we stopped in on Saturday to cancel that day's reservation since we'd already eaten lunch and knew we wouldn't be hungry by dinnertime. On Sunday, when we checked in for our reservation, I was impressed -- the hostess remembered us by name, which says a lot considering how many guests come through the restaurant. We were seated, and soon after we were greeted by Eleanor, our server. She was warm, attentive, and never made us feel pressured, which was a huge improvement from a previous visit. She answered every question I had, including how they cook a medium‑rare steak (every chef has their own interpretation, lol). She also gave an honest answer when I asked whether the vegetables used at dinner come from their greenhouse. The service felt genuine, and the food was excellent -- a much better experience than my last review. This visit was absolutely worth the return. Kudos to Eleanor and the Kitchen at The Mission.

We asked if they could do a special order: a burrito deconstructed, with over-easy eggs and the tortillas on the side. They were totally accommodating, and it was exactly what I was craving--fresh, filling, and seriously delicious. I went for the blueberry pancakes, and wow: they were enormous, fluffy, packed with real blueberries, and basically the perfect pre-hike fuel. And the coffee? Amazing, as always. I meant to take a picture of my food, but honestly I accidentally didn't--because everything looked so good that I dug in immediately. And even without the photo evidence, the presentation and plating were incredible, just like they always are. This place has my heart. I'd give it a hundred stars if I could--highly, highly recommend.

Staff here are friendly, there's a solid bit of history and kitsch in the very back on the way to the restrooms, giving character to what is otherwise a decidedly local, low-frills experience. The steak salad (was it a steak taco salad?) looked quite tasty but also ordinary so I skipped it and stuck with breakfast; the sausage and eggs were very much unremarkable, but at least the hashbrowns were nicely pan fried and the eggs were a large portion. Biscuit and gravy reinforced the former impression, but again, hard to complain-- did the job. This place is super affordable and the overall verdict is a solid local place that's easy to appreciate but hard for me to say I would actually get excited about.

Great lunch option after doing Zephyr white water rafting!…read more I ate here with my husband for lunch on a Friday around 12:30 PM. Parking was easy to find, but may be challenging if you're not staying at the connected Yosemite Bug Inn and if it's busy. We ordered at the counter and were given a metal number card. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient with us as we decided what to order. We enjoyed coconut water and kombucha for our drinks. We didn't wait long for our food to arrive at our table outside. This is what we ordered: * Chocolate cream pie - it was chocolatey with a thin shortbread crust. Just the right amount of sweet for us. * Chipotle chicken quesadilla - I tasted a small piece and thought it was flavorful. They put a generous amount of cheese. * Bombay sandwich - Warm vegetarian sandwich with potatoes and other veg with what tasted like a pesto or vinegar based sauce. The bread was crisp and the sandwich was split in half. I enjoyed it. After tax and tip, we paid a total of $49.93. No pics this time since we were hungry :) We both enjoyed our meal overall and felt like the portions were big and satisfying. I would come back here again on another Yosemite trip!

They definitely know how to cook their eggs! For dinner, my husband ordered the steak, which could've used a bit more seasoning, while I had the vegan noodle bowl. Both meals came in generous portions. We also shared two beers and an apple pie for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The service was fine, nothing over the top, but consistent. We noticed it was often the same staff working multiple days. The ambiance was really nice, with a mix of travelers and foreigners since the resort also functions as a hostel. Despite that, the vibe was always calm and welcoming, we never saw a rowdy crowd. Having this café just steps away from our room was such a convenience.

I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for a bowl of soup with a side of cornbread and a slice of pie to go. The soup was hearty and plentiful. I could have gone for a cup instead, but instead took what I couldn't eat to-go and enjoyed it later. The corn bread was delicious--slightly sweet, and moist enough to not fall apart when I cut into it with my fork. I usually love butter with corn bread, which they offered me, but it didn't need it. I wasn't sure which pie to get-they have so many to pick from. Checking out the options in the bakery case didn't help because they all looked so beautiful. I ended up selecting peach, and it was amazing. The peaches were perfectly caramelized but still maintained their texture. The bake of the pie brought out their ultimate peachiness. The crust was just the right thickness. Even though it was a cold slice, the crust remained flakey. The cafe had ample seating. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Pricing is on the high end, but I'm not sure how much that is because food is so expensive now-a-days. I was a bit surprised to see sandwich combos (with a side) all starting at around $20, and going up from there. It was after 2 in the afternoon, so the bakery had several 50% off boxes of baked goods to select. Four large cookies for I believe $12 or so (I could be wrong). There weren't too many options left in the bakery cases. I would love to see what this place offers when it first opens. Stay tuned for an update once I get that chance.
