Mix and match tacos (Chicken and Asada)

I've been having their tacos for years, it's so good. The chorizo, asada and chicken tacos are bomb. Check it out, they have other foods like burritos, tortas and etc. It's awesome you won't be disappointed.

Came here because they accept debit, but this is our go to taco stand now. We got two mulitas, four tacos, one burrito, and one pambazo. Everything was delicious! Very friendly, nice peeps too. It's a taco truck, so you order and take your food. There's chairs to sit and wait for your order. Right in front of Numero Uno grocery store. I only took a picture of my food, not the rest because they weren't patient for the gram lol but yes, totally recommend this taco truck.

In the seemingly endless taco space that fills my frequent drive between LAX and DTLA, Tacos El Ilegal falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, which isn't a bad thing given how competitive the LA taco scene is. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Tacos El Ilegal is a pretty standard taco truck in Lennox that draws some decent crowds during the after work peak of about five to seven in the evening. The service is quick, and they've got a standard array of peripherals to fill out your tacos with. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? With an almost shockingly low price point of $1.00 per taco, Tacos El Ilegal has the competition beat on the value front with what are actually pretty decent sized tacos that are accompanied by a handful of tortilla chips. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? In all, these tacos were just okay. The chorizo was the highlight meat of the evening, but both the pastor and especially the carne asada fell well short of expectation on the flavor front. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? In a moment of desperation? Maybe, but there are simply too many amazing spots nearby for me to get excited about a return to Tacos El Ilegal. No Star.

FOOD (4/5): Good tacos for $1 each. Toppings and sauce options were good and varied. Be careful with the orange sauce, it is habanero based and spicy. My recommendations are as follows: - Al Pastor Tacos (full toppings) - Chorizo Tacos (full toppings) SERVICE (3/5): I don't expect great service when going to a food truck but this one was particularly lacking. I will update in the future if was only a one time occasion

Cabeza tacos and vampiros were bomb! The asada flavor was too salty for my taste. Adobada taco was also flavorful. Definitely recommend to try. But do not add salt without trying it first.

    Delicious tacos!!!

One of my go to spots for asada tacos. Their vampiros are really good too. Extremely friendly staff. Super reasonably priced.

I've been on a bit of a breakfast burrito kick and have been slowly trying all the popular spots to varying degrees of contentedness. What I should have been doing all along was going to Maria's. I'll be the first to agree that fancy isn't always better and of course healthier IS healthier, but I'm not eating a breakfast burrito too be healthy. That's what fruit, plain yogurt, and chia seeds are for. Maria's doesn't use any healthy oils, pasture fresh eggs, fancy potatoes, aiolis, or specialty meats. What they do have is 3-meats, melty cheese, textural contrast, and a good, spicy salsa. All that for $10. Ten dollars. I found out about this spot from Yelp of course :)…read more The employees are really nice even the cooks will greet you from the window and overall they make me feel appreciated as a customer and I find that really special. The food is fantastic! I am a connoisseur of all things seafood and It's such a blessing to live in Los Angeles and have delicious fresh Mariscos at your fingertips. I had the Aguachile, The Beer battered Shrimp Tacos and Ceviche. Everything was very tasty. I Love fresh Raw Seafood, but my mom wasn't as adventurous so I opted to get her the cooked version. Both are equally as tasty! Everything tasted Fresh, bright and vibrant with the lime juices. The Aguachile had a nice kick, but very tasty and fresh. Depending on the time you go they do have an accessible patio area that's available for outdoor dining. We sat inside and the music was festive and lively. There are also TV's if you want to watch a sports game. Definitely would recommend trying Lalo's out if you're in the area.
